Dr. Mary Kay Uchmanowicz has been a licensed, board certified audiologist for more than thirty years in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, earned a Master’s Degree of Audiology from Syracuse University, and was awarded her Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Florida, Gainesville. She holds a state license in Audiology from both Massachusetts and Rhode Island, is certified by the American Speech Language Hearing Association, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. In addition to the traditional role of an audiologist, Dr. Uchmanowicz recognizes the world’s need for hearing aids. Honored by Oticon in 2006 for her philanthropic efforts in the Philippines, Dr. Uchmanowicz has made several trips to perform hearing screenings and fit underprivileged Filipino children and adults with donated hearing aids.
