Jamrock Caribbean Lounge & Grill

My wife and I were looking for a new place to try tonight. We remembered driving by here a time or two and thought we’d check it out. I ordered the Shrimp Curry and my wife ordered the Jerk Chicken. When we received our food I didn’t feel like I was getting an Americanized version of Caribbean food but that I was getting the real deal. There were lots of shrimp in the bowl with plenty of peppers and onions and curry broth. It was hot and fresh. My wife’s jerk chicken was the same, hot and fresh. We both preferred the chicken. The Curry Shrimp was good, don’t get me wrong, but the Jerk Chicken was AWESOME! It was flavorful, spicy, and just downright yummy. We will definitely be back!
BTW a DJ was setting up as we were finishing dinner. The place was empty when we got there but there were a lot of people there when we left. They seem to cater to a later crowd so go early if you want a quieter experience and just enjoy the food, go later for more of a party atmosphere. Either way you’ll be glad you went.

Today was my second time coming to this jewel. The first time I had stewed chicken which was good. This time I had jerk chicken with a curry chicken patty. It was amazing. Mr. Gershwin and Mrs. Yvonne are very friendly too. I talked to them both while I waited. I wish I lived closer, they would have me as regular customer. I will be coming back.
Thursdays Karaōke Friday, Saturday a dj and starting May 17 a live band on Sundays from 6:00 to 10:00pm.
