Hey this place is pretty good. Prices are reasonable. Now that the froyo crazy had died down, this is the best Smyrna option without driving to pinkberry. The yogurt was creamy, but light, nice selection of self serve flavors. Toppings are behind counter now. They also had about 8 scoop ice cream flavors I’ve not tried. Glad they are still around.

Margarette, Thank you for your feedback. Yes, we do offer multiple options for our customers to choose from including smoothies, and frozen yogurt, old fashioned ice cream and milkshakes. We do offer 8 flavors of yogurt to choose from and the flavors are rotated based on customer feedback and requests. We understand your disappointment in not getting to top your own yogurt. It is not lost on management that it is a fun part of getting frozen yogurt. Unfortunately, the demand for yogurt has decreased(as you probably noticed many yogurt only shops are now closed) so we decided to cater to our customer requests and move the toppings behind the bar to better accommodate those that want options beyond frozen yogurt, like ice cream. We hope that you know you are still in control of your toppings and can still give direction to anyone working about how much or how little toppings want to make it just the way you want! We hope to see you again! Sub Zero Management

I would probably return if I was at Publix and wanted a treat on a hot day, but I don’t think I would seek this place out again. Instead of doing one thing really well, they’ve do several things rather mediocrely. They serve smoothies, froyo, ice cream, and milkshakes. When it comes to fro-yo, they only have capacity for 8 flavors. While the froyo itself is self-serve, the toppings are not, which I find kind of weird considering that you are paying per oz. Part of the beauty of pay-per-oz is that you get exactly what you want and how much you want, which seems to be lost on the management here. The ice cream was ok, nothing spectacular. They had a wider selection of ice cream than froyo. Overall the place was clean and well kept. However, we were the only people in there, so I really wouldn’t have expected anything else.

Nice way of having ice cream is coming here! They’ve god this large selection of ice cream. What I love most is the cookies-n-cream which is really fun and exciting to have. Also tried their salted caramel and it wasn’t that great. I will prefer more the green apple. They totally deseved this 4 star. Congratulation to the staff that made the ice cream so great.

Mediocre fro-yo, might as well just go to Race Trac… a little watery for 49cent/oz. Also, you can’t put on the toppings yourself. But the ice cream is really good!

It’s funny that I saw someone else below mention the awful smoothies lol. My wife and I stopped in last Saturday for the first time. It was as hot as all get out so we thought smoothies sounded good. We entered Sub-Zero and we were pleased with the setup and the cleanliness. It’s a beautiful shop and we liked the chalkboard at the back for the kids to write on. However, I can’t grade the shop based on just that. My wife got the Sunrise smoothie(I think that’s what it is called) and I got the Strawberry Sensation because I love strawberries. I saw the employee put ice, a strawberry-banana smoothie mix, and orange juice in my wife’s blender, and she put the same thing in mine minus the OJ. My first thought was that I ordered the Strawberry Sensation because I didn’t want bananas but she still used the strawberry-banana mix. Then she turned it on. At that moment I looked at my wife and asked her, «Did she put any strawberries in yours? I didn’t see her put any in mine.» My wife said that she didn’t see her put any strawberries in any of them. At that moment we asked her to put strawberries in both of them and we’re informed that it would be extra. I hope you see the major issue with this: WEHADTOASKANICECREAMPARLORTOPUTFRUITINOURSMOOTHIEANDWE’RECHARGEDEXTRAFORIT… ATANICECREAMPARLOR! Isn’t that the reason for going to an ice cream parlor — to get fresh frozen novelties with fresh fruit? Sonic makes a better smoothie than that gas station mess we were served at Sub-Zero, and Sonic uses fresh fruit. I’d hate to give such a nice place a horrible grade but the owners are obviously trying to be cheap by skimping on necessities. If they keep serving people smoothies with daquiri mix and without fruit, it’s gonna be hard to keep customers coming back. Hopefully the ice cream and yogurt is good enough to make up for that.

The worse smoothie on earth… I went to a yogurt/ice cream place thinking that it would have a thick yogurt/ice cream base… I knew it would not be smoothie king but I expected more than an icee… It was ice and some juice out of a jug… SMH!!! Never again

It makes me sad that I can’t give this place a perfect rating! I absolutely LOVE their fro-yo(especially the coconut and holiday flavors). But, they recently changed their set-up so you can’t add your own toppings(they reconstructed their«yogurt bar» to make room for ice cream). Personally, I’m not a fan of ice cream, so that doesn’t help the situation either. And I will admit, I’m somewhat picky so I prefer to add my own toppings. In any case, the place is always very clean and the staff is friendly. The specials that they offer during the summer are really cool too!

Idk why there are not many reviews on this place. This place is right next to Publix in the shopping center. I like this place better than Pinkberry only bc you can get as much as you want. Pros– great customer service, clean, rewards, samples. Great for kids with kid seating area, involved with the community. Cons– wish I knew about this place sooner & not alot of toppings. Either way I will return.

Best froyo in the Vinings/Smyrna area. Excellent flavor and topping selection, including the best peanut butter and chocolate froyo I’ve ever tasted(Ghiradelli!). They have a spacious interior and plenty of parking outside. There is a rewards program too for frequent customers. The owners are often working in the store and are very friendly.

When this place opened up, I rolled my eyes and thought, «Seriously? Another fro-yo place? So uncalled for.» Then they ran a ScoutMob deal, so I gave it a try… and honestly like it better than any of the other myriad places one can acquire frozen yogurt in ATL. We’ve now been there more than a dozen times. All the flavors are great, but the fruit flavors especially pop. Sub Zero also won my heart forever by having a «shamrock mint» flavor around St. Patrick’s Day, which satisfied my craving for a shamrock shake from you-know-where while saving me a few hundred calories. The place is very kid-friendly, clean, and the employees have always been great. Just like at all fro-yo joints, the cups are massive and the machines dispense quickly. If you’re not careful, you’ll end up with more than you need. I usually skip most of the toppings because they tend to be heavy(driving up the price) and high-calorie(which negates my rationalization for going there multiple times per week), but the topping bar – while not the biggest I’ve seen – has a good variety of fruit, cookies, candies, sprinkles, nuts, etc. They also have squeeze bottles of caramel, peanut butter, Ghirardelli chocolate, and honey to top your yogurt with. Sub Zero has become my family’s go-to treat and most effective parental bribery tactic.

The yogurt is good, but is the most expensive yogurt I have ever experienced. Two yogurts, filled maybe half way in their cups with a light topping each = $ 12. Pink berry is cheaper, which is overpriced to begin with!
