The weak, the lonely, the happy, the grateful, dogs, children, all walks of life are welcome here. It’s like coming into your frat brother’s apartment to try some of their best beers in their fridge. They’ll teach you, rough you up and make you better for it, and they’ll lend an open ear when you are feeling sad. It’s the most epic place to taste a beer and take some home. It’s like a hipster cheers where everyone knows your name and gives you beers to try so you can buy a big jug to take home. It’s more than a beer tasting, growler buying experience, it’s your home away from home. My only request is to install a step rail so I can lean on the bar like I’m in an old-​fashioned western movie getting ready to get in a brawl.

The guy that always wears the Bruery stuff is a badass. Just sayin.

I live in Smyrna. I drink craft beer… a lot. I avoid this place because almost every time I have gone in to get something they are super condescending towards customers who may be less knowledgable or curious about craft beer.

Went to 8:20 pm tonight this place open until 9 pm. Bartender welcome us and ask what we want but we have no idea first time in here. Bartender explain and we decided kind of beer we want and he told me 5 sampler for $ 7 but we can’t do tonight. Only growler. We don’t want growler. Why he didn’t tell us first? Open til 9pm we went to 8:20 plenty of time. Sucks bartender.

You can’t go wrong with a growler station walking distance from the house. Love that they support other local businesses… Can’t go wrong with those heywood meats. Good prices on full and half-​size growlers, reasonably priced flights (get a dollar off if you check in on social media)… And nice folks behind the counter. My only womp, womp noise would be due to the lack of sours on tap… but at least they stock them in the shelf.

Great selection and staff! They are very knowledgeable about their products, which is a great help when I am indecisive. They also offer great sauces, dips and shirts. Great place for gifts! Was an excellent go-​to for our Christmas gift giving this year! Love supporting a local business and hope they get more visitors!

I have been going here for 3 years now and I am treated like royalty every time. These guys are not only the friendliest of people around but they are certainly knowledgeable about their own products. I am not sure how anyone can have a bad thing to say about them (the negative reviews below are quite frankly ridiculous, not sure what they are talking and I am sure they don’t either) This is a must for any avid craft beer drinker or even a novice drinker as well. Not only do they have incredible hard to find brews, they also have fantastic locally sourced meats and cheeses. They are also an official Big Green Egg shop. Do yourself a favor and check these guys out!

My husband went to get me Creature Comforts Automatic since it showed on their website that they had it.
First off they did not have it even though their website said they did.
Second he asked for a glass growler of Reko Reclaimed Rye which the owner said it was 6 bucks for. He opted for the plastic growler and was charged 6 bucks still.
My main issue is that my husband wanted to surprise me with one of my favorite beers as a belated birthday present and their website presented false advertisement and was overcharged for a plastic growler.
My husband being as sweet as possible paid the full amount and left but the inventory that is available should be updated constantly for customers.

I really like this little store tucked into the Smyrna Village. You start with buying a $ 6 growler that comes in either 32oz or 64 oz. You can sample 5 or 6 beers for $ 7 or get a $ 1 off by checking in on social media (of course I did).
They are technically a store that sells everything such as big green egg products, rubs, spices, wines, and even beer ice cream. The main item you’ll want is the beer. They have dozens of beers on tap that you can fill up a growler with and take home. The growler will last 24 – 48 hrs one opened but if left sealed it can last a couple weeks.
Beers cost anywhere from $ 8-​$ 25. Depends on if you want a 32oz or 64 oz and which kind of beer. They have plenty of different priced beers to pick from most of them are going to be amazing craft beers.

My wife and I have craft beer as a hobby. We are part owners in a brewery up north and are well versed in flights and growlers. We have our favorite styles but we enjoy venturing out of our comfort zone. I was introduced to this place when I first moved down here a year ago and loved the local theme and the selection of beer. I brought my wife in and we did the growler swap along with bringing a six pack from our brewery for their staff to try. We thought the place was great and bought pretzels, bacon, and mustard along with a growler fill. Last Sunday we decided to go back since it’s been awhile and to try a flight and get two growlers filled. It was Sunday so they were only open till 6:00. We arrived at 5:00. There were two customers already in the store and one clerk behind the bar. He was very engaged with one customer for about 15 minutes. Then he moved to help the other customer check out so we had been in the store for about 20 minutes looking around which isn’t a big deal to us. We were the only customers in the store when he waited on us and he was friendly as expected. He asked how he could help; I replied that we would like a flight and to get 2 growlers. He said that they don’t do samples because they are closing soon. It was 5:20, they are open till 6. We said ok kind of looking past it and picked two beers for our growlers. A local brewery fresh hop and a larger brewery seasonal, nothing crazy like an exotic import or a 15%er. He filled us up and when he rang it up it was $ 63. We brought our own growlers. So if you were to divide that up by pints it’s over $ 7 a beer. We are normally very tolerant people that have worked and know how hard retail can be. This experience floored us. We don’t understand why 40 minutes before closing we can’t do a flight and if we got a crazy expensive limited beer we weren’t warned. We are a little heart broken, but with other growler fill businesses around we will not be back. Hopefully they can use this for constructive criticism and positive effects. We give them five stars for our previous visits and 0 for this last one so that’s about 2.5 overall.

I swear, if they installed a shower in this place, I would move in. Fantastic selection of always changing beers and a great group of guys with a frightening amount of adult beverage knowledge. They have never — EVER — steered me wrong (which I why I usually end up leaving there with a box full of things). They also have amazing snacks… with bacon… and cheese… and…DAMN IT! Now I’m hungry and thirsty!!!

I’m giving two stars because we did have a nice experience the first time we went. They lost a ton of respect from us this second visit. First of all, immediately when we walked in there were jokes being made from a customer and the bartender about guys who wear polo shirts and boat shoes, which my fiancé was wearing. I would think that the Stout Bros would want everyone to feel welcome in their establishment. After we started looking at the beer selection the owner walked in with his buddies and the whole place turned into his personal party. We were pretty much ignored until we asked questions. We were never offered suggestions as to what they think we would like and the «f bomb» was rampant. We’ll give it one more shot because we like to support local… But I sincerely hope for a better experience next time.

Fantastic experience today & I’m really glad because this place is in my ‘hood & I want to like it! Last time here the chaps behind the bar were not so friendly but this time… They were Rockstars! Friendly, knowledgeable, funny… Just awesome! I don’t like beer but they suggested I try a cider& guess what? Delicious! Then they suggested a raspberry lemonade thingy & I loved it & guess what??? It was beer! So we bought a few bottles & bought a jalapeño pimento cheese spread that I cannot wait to try! What a great visit to Stout Brothers!

If you love talking sports, beer and music, in no particular order, this is your place for craft beer and many more associated beer goodies. From Gose’s to Barrel aged stouts, this staff is well versed in beer, food and will let you know if Neil Peart or Buddy Rich is a better drummer. The staff are always willing to assist you in making good food pairings for parties or just porch sippin’. Theses guys are beer geeks, yet are not pretentious about it. They cater to the faux hipsters and to the soccer moms. I love this spot and it will continue to be a routine stop for me when I arrive back in town at the end of the work week. Support your local businesses.

Twice I’ve sent my wife in for special releases, and twice they’ve given her crap because all she bought at that time was the special release, despite all the times I’ve gotten growler fills and bought bottles. I love supporting local, I love my city, but I will never spend another dime in this business.

We’ve been going to the Stout Brothers about once a week now for over a year and I guess it’s time for a review! I love this place. The beer is fantastic — a bit pricey but that’s what I expect to pay for craft beer. I also have gotten to know several of the employees and they are truly great guys! I read some of the other reviews and it is true, on an «off time,» I’ve had some issues with the attentiveness of some of the other employees, but our regular guys are fantastic — friendly and informative! They know their stuff.
This has become part of our weekly régime. I absolutely love this place!

I love sampling things so this is the perfect beer spot for me. You can build your own flight of 5 beers for $ 7, and they offer a $ 1 discount if you check in on social media. The staff is very friendly and passionate about beer, and they have an impressive selection of local and import craft brews to choose from. Due to state laws you can’t drink more on-​site than the flight, which equals about 1 beer, but you can buy a growler of your favorite to go. They also have plenty of interesting bottled beer and some great local snack items and sauces.

This place is super nifty.
Be warned you can only do one flight, they are not a bar, so pick 5 and then buy some to go home! The flights were $ 7 I think? It ends up rounding out to a full beer.
They have A LOT of selection and are manned by a beer loving staff. They had some great recommendations and suggestions for us.
Also when you buy beer they have growlers to be filled and they are priced pretty well.
I would definitely go back!

I’m a bit late in reviewing this as I went here 2−3x about a year ago. I was looking at some old pictures and it reminded of how good this place was.
This is a must stop for local beer drinkers and those traveling through Georgia. They have an awesome selection of hard to find beers, beer ice cream, hops, and other great products.
The guy behind the bar is a beer guru and will give you the complete run down of every selection on the board. Tell him what like and dont lilke and he’ll pick the right beer for you.
You feel more like you’re hanging out at a friend’s house sampling from his fridge rather than being at a store.
If I end up back in Georgia I will definitely being heading here again.

Beer = 3 (OVERPRICED…no matter how good they may be)
Price = 0 (OVERPRICED… This place is crazy expensive.)
Experience = 3 (the guy was nice… but, couldn’t believe that I would question their prices.)
I’ve been to many many growler spots all over America. This place is wildly overpriced… a regular growler is 64 ounces or 4 16oz pints. Most of the beers here go for $ 18-​$ 20+ per growler or 4 pints.
In my experience, everywhere else growlers are $ 10-​$ 12. Many bars fill them for $ 5-​$ 8 on special nights.
I realize growlers have just made it to Georgia… but really!!!

This is place is a gem. We were strolling around this little town square area and of course noticed all the beer. But this store is so much more than just a beer store.
There are sooo many great local products for sale here! Heywoods meat, One Screw Loose jams, Sweetgrass Dairy cheeses– just to name a few. The prices for these products may be a bit more than the grocery store commercialized versions but they are so worth it.
I also love that they have so many single beer bottles for sale. They even sell individual cans of my new favorite Hell or High Watermelon which I haven’t seen anywhere else.
I’m going to have to lose my growler virginity here– they have so many beers on tap. Friendly and helpful customer service too, always a winner in my book.

I’m familiar with the growler concept and this place does not disappoint. You can pay for a «flight» sample of 5 different brews. They are very knowledgeable and the experience did not disappoint. It’s a shame you can’t order a pint after doing the flight sampling. I imagine it would be VERY popular if that was the concept.

My date and I came here on a Saturday evening since we’ve been talking about it for some time. I was amazed by this store. We came in at the right time for someone to help us out.
There’s a chalkboard with all the beers on top and it’s fantastic how they’re all color-​coded with the type of beer they are. The best part was the tasting. One can do a total of 5 tastings a day, but since I was there with my date, we shared our choices (which was plenty!) so we tasted like 10 different beers. This place even had sour beer available, the Duchesse de Burgogne, which is something I definitely recommend trying if you want something different. It’s kind of like wine and drinking vinegar.
We came out with a growler of the Lips of Faith brew and a smaller growler of the Original Sin hard cider — it’s kind of like a sweeter champagne which I’m sure most women would love. Don’t throw away or recycle your growler after you’re done. You can always go back for another one without having to pay for the price of the jug.
Service was great. I have nothing bad to say about this place as Mike gave us our space to try our flights and then he would come back to help us after helping others. The store actually became more full after we were there, but there’s plenty of standing space at the bar. They even have 2 iPads to the side for you to read more about the available brews. Browsing and drinking, this is a pretty awesome place to go if you want a craft beer or something out of the ordinary.
