History

Established in 1983.

Craven Farm has been in the family since 1949 when Farmer Mark’s grandparents dairy farmed. Later they added growing strawberries and raspberries. As Mark gradually took over the farming he added pumpkins and the Fall Harvest Festival that has taken place for 30+ years was launched! That was 1983!

Eventually loosing the berries to flooding Farmer Mark and his wife Judy decided to start renting their barn for weddings.

Now in the summer months you will find beautiful weddings taking place in the barn or fields and then in the fall the farm turns into a pumpkin wonderland for families all over the Puget Sound area to come visit.

Business Owner

Farmer Mark C. was born and raised in the Snohomish Valley. He has lived his whole life in the agriculture business. He dairy farmed as a kid with his family and then started crop farming in high school, with his grandma.

Mark remains very active in agriculture issues. He is on the Snohomish Ag Board, Snohomish Conservation District Board, full time farmer, Co-​op board and member. He is often asked to speak on farming and the challenges farmers have in the current day.

It was cute and fun but nothing amazing. It was a nice family outing but we will probably check out one of the other farms next year. We are used to the huge farms in Tennessee with LOADS of activities for the children.

Great place. It has lots of activities for kids. They do charge for a maze, rides and shows separately but at the same there is no admission fee. It is a great place to spend a day with kids.

This was our second year getting our pumpkins at Craven Farm and it won’t be our last. Even though we went a week before Halloween their were still plenty of great pumpkins in the field and while it was busy it never felt crowded. Everyone on staff is super helpful and friendly.
The kids love the corn maze and it is a bit of a challenge to find your way. Their was a bad storm the night before so not only was the maze really muddy a bunch of the corn stalks were blown down. They gave us ½ off the admission price and it was still plenty of fun.
The pumpkins are a great price and much more fun to pick them out of the field than going to the grocery store. They have plenty of wheelbarrows to help you get them from the field to your car.
You don’t have to pay admission to get in. Just pay for the activities you want to do. They have pumpkin catapults, corn maze, hay ride, some farm animals, a small store, and food. Plenty of places to sit so you can eat, clean bathrooms, and several sinks to wash your hands.
If you are just looking for a few hours of fun in the country, pick pumpkins, and grab some fresh apple cider and a donut then Craven Farm is perfect!

Second time heading to Craven Farm for pumpkin picking and its always a joy! This time there wasn’t kittens though. That was a big let down!
Pumpkins are very affordable and they were full of seeds. This means you can feel safe getting your pumpkin seed fix here along with a variety of other produce here which include, acorn squash, spaghetti squash, apple cider, kale, and lots more! They even sell syrups and jam. I tried using some restraint around here but I ended up looking like I just went grocery shopping. Most of the farm takes cards, unless you purchase hot food while there, then you will need cash. I can’t say I recommend their vegetarian chili.
Very kid friendly. Our group looked a bit odd without a toddler counterpart, but don’t let this deter you. The corn maze is a good time and the property is ultra picturesque!

I had a great first pumpkin patch experience here. Only 30−40min away from Seattle & even on a Sunday around noon it wasn’t too crowded. There’s no fee to get in & the pumpkins are reasonably priced. The patch is surrounded by a corn field which makes for great pictures (Yes, I’m basic). They also had a lot of other activities, items for sale & photo ops around the whole farm. Only thing I wished they had was hot cider. Hoping to come back next year and make it an annual tradition.

Great pumpkin patch in a beautiful location! My kids had fun looking at all the little pumpkin displays and seeing the animals too.
The only bummer is that the day we came (a weekday that schools were off) a lot of the stuff was closed down. No maze, no pumpkin catapault. So you might want to call ahead to make sure that stuff is open if it’s important to you!

We had our wedding at Craven Farm. Our guests loved the barn – it’s beautiful, rustic, and a unique reception space. The owners, Mark and Judy, were responsive to our questions and found creative ways to solve some of those last minute things you inevitably forget on your big day. They have a great selection of rental items that fit well with the space. They coordinated well with our vendors to make sure everything came off without a hitch.

I came here on a week day so I didn’t get the same experience as a weekend visitor. Regardless, this place was still pretty busy. I enjoyed the gift shop full of cute Halloween décor and canned goodies and treats with Craven’s own logo.
My favorite thing about Craven’s was it’s awesome squash selection. I ended up getting more squash than pumpkins as they were all excellent priced and cool looking. Instead of being priced by weight they were all a flat rate for each. I got butternut squash for a couple bucks and delicata for a dollar. These prices are definitely cheaper than buying at the grocery store, and I’ve never seen a better selection of squash.
They also had yummy apples for $ 1 a lb. The thing I thought was weird is they have you add up your own prices before check out. The only person working that I saw also was the lady checking people out. I would definitely come back here and thought it was way better than another pumpkin patch we visited that day. I would also highly recommend it for anyone with kids. There was a lot of fun play things there for the little ones.

Finding the farm was easy with the GPS and I’m glad we brought our Rav4 for the gravel and muddy/​grassy parking area. The place was crowded on a cloudy day so I can only imagine the crowds on a sunny afternoon! My boyfriend and I met with some coworkers for a team fun event and it was great! Our families met to explore the pumpkin patches and enjoy the food and festivities.
We bought what we thought was a good sized pumpkin, but it turned out to be one of the smaller ones! Finding the right one took about half an hour as you had to walk futher into the field to find those untouched by others. Our pumpkin only cost $ 4.
We also had the pumpkin latte from the espresso shop for about $ 4 and it was delicious and warmed us up! Later we ate the chili in a bread bowl and drank hot apple cider and that was good as well. Overall we had a great time.
The only thing is their bathrooms are port-​a-​potties with long lines and toilet paper. I didn’t use it because of warnings from others there that day.

We’ve taken our family here twice and it’s fun. There are structures on which the kids can climb and there are plenty of photo ops. They have a very small selection of produce (apples and various squash) and a large selection of pumpkins (as I’m sure would be expected). The kids all got nice and muddy which is a requirement for these types of outings. We haven’t ever had the opportunity to partake in any of the «big kid» or adult activities, so I can’t speak for those. The overall experience is just fine for a pumpkin patch.

Super fun. I mean, you know, the «for what it is» kind of fun. Particularly the corn maze. Love it. Lost in here for, like, hours. Also, pumpkin launching. Missing live targets, though (not me, I could hit them, as in, there aren’t any).
The scariest thing about Craven… Get prepared… you ready? … the prices for pumpkins! Decent sized for carving is like $ 16 – 18 EACH. Ouch. It’s part of the experience of course (they know this better than us), so you’ll buy one. Honestly, I was about THIIIIIIIS close to picking them out, taking a picture, and leaving them at the gate, going to fruit stand for like 75% cheaper.
Launch some pumpkins! Fall spirit abounds! Take pictures! Bring a flask of whiskey to the corn maze! Oh, wait, not that last one!

Review for the haunted house. Went for the three pack but turns out the corn mazes were destroyed due to inclement weather, so we just did the one 3D haunted house.
Short line for a saturday night, but it was extremely slow moving. We didn’t run into the group in front of us, which is nice, but still could have moved it a long more quickly. They kept using a blow horn and shooting off a really loud gun thing, which was a bit painful on your ears (everyone in line was watching this guy prep the gun again and again and they all had their ears covered).
The haunt was extremely short, very artistic and the actors were quite good but just too short. I also didn’t find it to be very frightening myself, probably because there wasn’t much time to get into it and no story was really built.
Hopefully next year mother nature smiles on this place and they stay open the whole time.

Very fun day at Craven Farm last Saturday.
Pumpkin patch: so many! Great for families with kids. They provide wheelbarrows to borrow as you navigate the wide patch area searching for your perfect pumpkin. They aren’t cheap — medium ones go for $ 10-​$ 15 with the larger ones being as expensive as $ 25-​$ 30, but the experience and organization of the farm make it worthwhile.
They accept credit/​debit cards! I love seeing farms using Square on iPads. Super cool.
Food: Pumpkin pie was delish. Hot apple cider hit the spot, as well. They also sell pumpkin and sweet potato butter, as well as many kinds of jam.
Didn’t try the corn maze. There was also a small petting zoo and a barn to hold children’s parties.
I was struck by how well organized the farm was. Service was lovely, and we had a great time!

I had SO much fun running through the 2 haunted corn mazes. It is very well done and just the right amount of scary and the element of surprise. The 3D haunted experience is REALLY COOL. This is indoors in the barn and I loved it.
Great job Craven Farms, I plan to come back in the day time, to select our family pumpkins!

This review is not for the farm itself but for the Haunted Nightmare Haunted Attraction!
Run as FAST as you can to this awesome haunted experience! What a fun and terrifying experience we all had! A portion of the proceeds support the Girls and Boys Club of Snohomish County and it is so clear that all of the people involved in creating this event have a huge passion for this! Jody Bossert and his haunted crew welcomed us warmly and walked us to the trail leading to the beginning of the corn mazes where our terrifying walks began. NOT ONLY is there an AMAZING 3D haunted house (which is the most amazing thing any of us had ever seen) but there was also TWO more corn mazes so what you get for the price is beyond incredible. There is also a younger childrens option so bring the entire family! If you want an amazing haunted fun experience, there is no need to look further!

LOVE Craven Farm! It’s cute and the perfect little excursion for the fall. There’s a ton of stuff for kids to look at (fairy tale displays made of pumpkins, boats and cars and buggies to climb on, a petting zoo, hay rides, a corn maze…) and it’s a lot of fun for adults, too.
I went with a few other people my age — and none of us have kids — and we had a great time picking out pumpkins and wandering through the little gift shop. There’s also a coffee stand and a place to buy kettle corn. As if that wasn’t enough, there’s also produce you can buy. I bought a few apples and they were quite delightful.
I got lost in the corn maze here about ten years ago so I wasn’t about to do THAT again, but it was definitely a fun place to go. Parking and wandering around is free and I think the pumpkins were definitely priced pretty affordably. I think I’ve found a new fall tradition. :)

What a great Pumpkin Patch! The corn maze was fun & only $ 5.50 per person. It might have been a bit more fun if it had been a haunted corn maze. They give receipts so it’s easy to take a field trip here.
The drive to get to Craven Farms is beautiful & it’s only about an hour North of Seattle. Parking is free & it’s free to get in. Petting zoo was nice too & free as well. Lots of great photo ops around the farm.
They have hay rides too & a pumpkin slinger, but those were closed when we got there.
It is a bit muddy even if it hasn’t rained so be prepared for mud & the possibility of slipping & falling.
Craven Farms is a blast, I will definitely come back here next year :)

This place should have been 20 minutes from Lynnwood but because of my awesome navigational skills and inability to read a GPS, it took us about an hour to get there. (On the way back, it took 20).
I thought this place was just for kids but clearly I was wrong. While there were a ton of kid-​friendly activities, our mini-​group in our mid-20’s had a great time checking out the cheesy pumpkin displays and had no problem pushing the little kids out of the way to take pics… I mean… umm…graciously waiting our turn.
This place had a great selection of activities from hay rides, animals, a corn maze, pumpkin displays, and of course a giant pumpkin patch. They even had a cute little Halloween store with treats. I thought that the pumpkin patch looked a little small but then when you creep through the cornfields and go through openings, there are more fields EVERYWHERE with pumpkins.
There was no fee to park or to get in… and the pumpkins were very reasonably priced. It was $ 2.50 for 2 pumpkins, one baby and one small.
On a Sunday afternoon, this place wasn’t as crowded as I thought it’d be but I was happy about it. :)
