I’m so glad for the previous Unilocaler that you had such a great experience w/​Jered. Now, let me share mine — I must say it’s a bit more vulgar than the sticky sweet 5 star review. I spoke with Jered twice over the phone regarding a property appraisal to settle an estate I have partial ownership of (30 min drive for me). The first conversation, he assured me that what I needed was right up his alley. The second conversation (to schedule), I was a little less confident, as he seemed distracted and couldn’t recall our previous conversation the week before. It had been a week, however, which is understandable. We scheduled the appraisal for the following week over the phone. The problem? I showed up, and Jered did not. After multiple phone calls and voicemails, I get him on the phone 45 mins after our scheduled appt time. He did leave a voicemail 40 mins after the scheduled time (which due to poor reception I wasn’t able to retrieve until later, which by that time we’d had our «conversation»). In the VM he said he didn’t have me in his que, and needed to research what had happened… he also admitted, woopsy, he could’ve been the one to screw up the appt. Yeah, Jered, the 2^nd option. SO, after getting him on the phone — wait for it, this is the good part — We rehash that he hasn’t shown up/didn’t know he had scheduled this appt, etc… and when I tell him that he’s completely wasted my time, he tells me «EAT MY A$$, B*TCH» and hangs up the phone. So, buyer beware, this is what you are dealing with. God help you if you ever end up having to use this waste of skin for your home appraisal.

Jered and his apprentice Jacob came out to our place and did an appraisal for a refi we’re going through. They were prompt, responsive, courteous and completely professional. They took their time, thoroughly inspected our place and did their job with great care. I know you can’t always choose your property appraiser, but if you can you should definitely go with these guys. We’ve had experience with a few appraisers in this area, and McMillan is the best!
