Same as everyone else. No call no show. I emailed and called several times and no response. Wish I could give zero stars

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY. Listen to the reviews… only one good one out of all these, that says something. They only got a star because I couldn’t submit with out selecting one.
I normally don’t take time out of my day to provide a bad review, but I feel like it is my duty to add to and validate the previous poor reviews if it even gives the slightest chance for someone to avoid giving this company their money. My experience echoes the many others on this page. I booked my appointment… no show. Waited for 5 hours. Called for a status and I was sent to voicemail. I left a very courteous messages asking about the status… nothing. Next day, no follow up from the company either. I sent an email expressing my frustrations and to give them an opportunity to make things right… nothing. Given the many other similar experiences on this page, I don’t expect to hear back from these crooks. Will be looking in to what report mechanisms exist for a business that operates in such poor fashion.
Do not waste your time or your money.

I paid for the ultimate interior/​exterior package and scheduled the time. Waited over an hour and tried calling. Straight to voice mail. Called and left two messages through the day, asking that they let me know if I should keep waiting. I had things to do. Also sent a message to them online & Never heard back from them. How do companies stay in business like this?

Ditto the other negative reviews. Despite receiving a confirmation both by text and by email, my appointment was a no show. I had purchased the service through Groupon. The lack of customer service is appalling.

This place is a waste of time. I purchased a Living Social deal and was very excited to redeem it. I left them several phone messages and emails and they never called back. You cannot schedule an appointment online with your Living Social deal because there is no place to include it. Don’t waste your time or money on this establishment.

My co worker and I bought living social deals for this place. On the deal it said to call a 970 # I left 5 messages over a 5 week period no one ever called me back. Then I went to their website and called the number there and left 3 messages, no call back. I went to try and book an appointment online and it was successful except the only time available was very end of July which why are you giving out deals for June if you can’t book an appointment in June? The next day I went to show my co worker how I FINALLY got a hold of them. When I looked up the same site it was completely down and no one could book an appointment. I then submitted an online customer service request with my name phone and email address. I did that twice. It has been 2 weeks no response. It has been 3 months since I purchased that deal and I have not been able to contact anyone. Not even an email or txt or missed phone call! Not even sure this is a business I think it is some sort of scam, hoping you don’t refund your purchase with no way to cash it in. I LOST SO MUCH TIME, should have read Unilocal first!
The only GREAT part about this was living social refunded my co-​worker and I for the price of the deal, and the service there was great.

So much of my time and my wife’s time has been spent in trying to contact this company. We have sent e-​mails and placed phone calls with no responses. Our question was simple and had to do with the expiration date on a LivingSocial coupon. I echo the comment of an earlier reviewer: I wish I had checked Unilocal before I had spent the money. Thankfully, and to their credit, LivingSocial gave us a refund. So, on the flip side, LivingSocial was a delight to work with (thank you, Molly!).
And to echo another reviewer: I would give a zero if I could.

Same lame experience as others are sharing. I purchased a Groupon deal for mobile detailing. First appointment was cancelled the day of (and it was not raining, weather was fine) and now they are an hour late to the second appointment I scheduled and I can’t get through to them to find out why. I’m also going to request a Groupon refund for this disappointing service.

Called on two different days during the stated business hours but the voice message says they are closed.

Wish I had read the reviews as well before buying the product. Today is the second NO SHOW no call no nothing. As I type this I am on hold to their number listening to the elevator music, now on hold 22 minutes. I don’t know what is with these guys. They book the appointment and don’t even bother to call to cancel or reschedule. Blue sky today and not raining on previous trashed appointment. I think I will just keep typing while I sit here on hold. I think my next review will be living social. last week when Merkel was a no show I sent an inquiry to LivinSocial and got an auto reply saying they are 4 days out… it has been a week and no further response. I think Livingsocial is over their head and not bothering to vet their service providers. They have the $$ as well as Merkel. As a consumer I can understand the merchant making a mistake but reading the reviews, this is not a mistake, this is how they conduct business. I too gave one star because zero stars is not an option. 27 minutes and holding. I REALLY do not like posting poor reviews but people should know what to expect from these guys and honestly I hope they figure this out and get their systems corrected. if so I will be the first to post an update. Anybody can make a mistake but it5’s what you do to correct it that matters.

I had them come out to detail me car & truck. They did great on the inside outside windows. Then the washed outside came and got me said all finish I’m like you did buff and wax it. That’s what I paid for then it start raining so the just left. I called and called to get them to come make it right and finish work. Then I finally got an appt. Wait wait and wait never showed up tried calling no answer. Got email 2 hrs later saying my appt was canceled do to rain. I tried to reschedule again. No luck then yesterday I get a call to confirm my appt for today. I said I didn’t make one. But I will leave work early to be here to get this completed. They called 30mins before my appt and canceled again. I asked for refund I was told no. I’m will not recommend them to anyone. They shouldn’t even get 1 star

I’m not sure if the bad reviews were prior to some change in their service or ownership, but this business was very impressive. I used a Living Social coupon. Their website has easy online appointment scheduling. They called me back to confirm, called and confirmed again 1 week before the appt, again the day before the appt, and called me 1 hour before to let me know they were running ahead and would it be OK if they came a little early! The two young men were polite, courteous, pleasant, and did a wonderful job on my car. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I wish I had read these reviews before buying their Detail Pkg on Living Social, because my experience is EXACTLY like the others– only they called me 30 min before the appointment time to say they couldn’t come becuase it was raining. Only the sky was blue, but the dispatch gal wasn’t interested. Calling back, I got an after-​hours recording. Not expecting to hear back.
I was hoping that Living Social was vetting its service providers better than this. Guess not.

They get one star because I can’t give zero.
I scheduled the first appointment, the trouble of which should have been my first clue.
No show.
I called and called and called their office. No one answered. I tried calling again later in the afternoon and to my surprise someone answered the phone. They were just as surprised because the guy who answered just said, «Hello» as if he were answering his personal phone. When I asked if I was speaking to Merkel Services he mumbled, «Uh, oh yeah.»
He directed me to their website to reschedule.
A no show again.
Living Social refunded my money but I can’t get back my time.

I have little that I can add to the four comments already on the site that complain accurately about no-​shows, inability to reach Merkel by phone directly because they virtually never answer their phone, and failure to respond to messages left for them. I have asked for a refund from Living Social and suggested that they no longer do business with this company.

Purchased a Living Social deal for an Ultimate Exterior and Interior package. The company never return calls or emails so you can never make an appointment. It seems like a scam to just collect your money upfront and I will never try them again. Thankfully Living Social refunded my money.

Same as Song K. Purchased on Living Social. Made an appointment — No Show. Couldn’t get ahold of them until late that evening. Made another appointment — also a no show. Requested my money back from living social.
Terrible business model. This place won’t be around for long.
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

This place was terrible. I bought their living social deal. I scheduled them for a 10:00 appt. Someone called me at 9:30 to confirm and then nobody showed up. By 10:30, I started calling them, both the number on my living social coupon and the number on my caller ID and nobody answered or called me back. So I sat waiting for them for 2 hours and nobody even came or even had the courtesy to call. I just noticed they are running another living social deal… DO NOT BUY IT!

Purchased Living Social deal for their auto detailing. Scheduled for 2 PM on ⁸⁄₂₂ for their service but nobody shows or the courtesy to call me to let me know they are not coming. Left multiple messages on their 888 numbers but nobody returns my calls. Not worth the time and money.

I purchased a Living Social deal for their auto detailing (it is the same deal they have on their website independently at this time) It is totally not worth buying no matter the price! Why? Because you will spend more time trying to contact someone and waiting for a no show. is that worth any amount you would pay?
Here is my story:
I attempted to call them at 4:30pm on ⁶⁄₃ because their website stated that they are open for calls only from 3−8pm. Some areas it states 3:30pm to 8pm. I left a message about making an appointment.
I also started taking notes on them since it felt uneasy.
I then attempted to call them at 3:30pm on ⁶⁄₄ and also at 3:45pm and left another message.
I tried calling for the sake of follow up and to give them a chance at 5pm before giving them a poor review.
I was about to call them at 4pm the next day and someone actually called me back at 3:35pm on the 5^th of June.
The lady told me that they were all booked up until the 16^th as the first available day so she booked me for the 16^th Monday, at 3:30pm and I gave and reconfirmed my address.
I ran home yesterday out of work and waited for them. I called and left a message at 3:35pm as I saw no one in the area. I then called their house cleaning side and the lady told me that she would transfer me instead since she had nothing to do with auto. I then left another message at 4pm with a different voicemail which sounded like the owner. I waited till 5:30pm without any contact from them.
This establishment has real issues and I highly doubt they will pay me for my time lost and I surely don’t trust them to reschedule with me with such poor communications. Terrible experience.
