The outside of this bakery gives you the impression your going to get something special, but what I got was average. I ordered quiche of the day, it came with toast and a fruit cup. Fruit looks and taste like canned, quiche was salty and nearly all mushrooms. Restaurant looks tired and dated, and needs an attention to detail regarding the cleanliness. Very disappointing.

Sandwiches are poor. The tuna was just tuna with a fishy smell. Ordered the New York Sub with a side of Coleslaw and got potato salad when placing my order at the counter another customer returned her cake as being bone dry. The staff are clueless and could care less. You could buy better but you can’t pay more.

I brought family from out of town here, as I work in Snohomish and thought it would be nice to visit. It was very quiet, and we approached the bar to order. The bar tender seemed very uninterested in helping us, and he actually walked away before we could order for all 4 people. We tried to get his attention a couple of times, but he ignored us. We walked over to the bakery side to order. The food(blt(2), salad, soup) took nearly 30 minutes to come out. Right after we ordered we politely went over to the bar tender to tell him we ordered and he dramatically crumpled up our order and threw it in the trash. The food was good when it finally came, but honestly I will not go back here. It sucks because the pastries are good, but the overall service sucks. This is probably the rudest and worst place I have been to in Snohomish, nothing even comes close. People ask us for recommendations of where to eat and I will not be recommending this place. Plenty of other good service and food places in Snohomish.

This bakery deserves a 5 for food, but a 1 for service. I’ve been here countless times. I continue to return because the food is so wonderful, but one out of every two times I’m here, I have some firm of bad service — usually unfriendly or awkward staff, dirty atmosphere, and/or an incredibly long wait once food has been ordered. This café would be stellar if it were better managed.

After several attempts to give the first and union a chance I must concede disappointment. When I say several I mean 67 times easy. Only that many chances were given due to the fact that the first time and maybe the third were wonderful. Every other time was like chasing a unicorn. It just is not going to happen. I have tried a variety of items from salads to pasta to burgers. The food is always inconsistent and for the price that is just unacceptable. The bartender ALWAYS seems as if he has something better to do. Drinks take forever and no matter how much I want to like it, it basically sucks. I am sad that it has to be this way because another option in town is needed, a new owner may be in the cards. Hopefully one that is concerned with quality, clean bathrooms, customer service, and maybe will train employees to care as well. Worst food and service in town by far… Sorry, I really wanted to like the place.

This place is a joke and frankly I’m surprised they are still in business. The manager/owner parks the delivery van in the handicapped spot out front. Rude! Didn’t seem to care when I asked him about it. Twice now there’s been a hair in my morning glory muffins. Gross! Their pinwheel cookies used to be the best and now they suck. They are half the regular size, the texture has changed and so has the taste. But the fat $ 3 per cookie hasn’t changed. Service is just weird. Is everyone who works there bi-polar? Most of the time they all stand around and talk and don’t care that people are waiting at the counter. And when they finally come over to help you, it’s all attitude. If I want to be treated like sh*t I’ll go hang out with my parents thank you very much. Don’t waste your time or money at this place. It’s just not worth it.

Ordered 3 sandwiches and 2 came on the wrong bread. Ordered Rye and got sour dough, ordered sour dough and got whole grain. Not worth the wait to have them remade. They were decent, but overpriced.

Came here with my mom and her friend to get some coffee. The brewed coffee is self serve and was nice and strong and comes with refills. The espresso that my mom got was flat and literally cold, they also forgot to add frothed milk that she asked for and put it in a paper cup when she asked to have it in a mug(something must have been on her mind???).

Service is super great and friendly, pastries are delicious too, but I’ve been here at least four or more times and every time my food is without a doubt cold, not luke warm, but cold. Such a bummer.

Great local treats & eats! Right in the heart of Snohomish’s antique row! Breads, desserts, coffee, breakfast & sandwiches! There’s a bakery + café! I’m so addicted to the bakery, that I still need to experience the café too! Staff is super sweet, even when the line is outta control!

The customer service here left something to be desired… we were waiting in line behind someone in the bakery and as soon as they were cashed out, the server walked into the back without even acknowledging us. We waited a few minutes and he finally came back out and got our order. The pastries were good, but nothing outstanding. I’d much rather go somewhere that appreciates your business.

My husband and I ate Sunday brunch in the restaurant side of the Bakery. It was hopping busy, and we must have arrived just after a very large group did. The wait staff tried very hard, but were overwhelmed with the crowd. It is a seat yourself arrangement and we found the last table. We didn’t wait very long for our order to be taken, but waited a good 45 minutes + for our food to arrive. The food was delicious and we were not disappointed. The portion sizes were extra large and could have easily been split between us and still filled us both up. The atmosphere was loud due to the large group that was there, but decorated quaintly. We will go back.

Sandwiches and salads take so long to make you’ll wonder if they started growing the vegetables when you ordered. Pastries, specifically the cinnamon roles, are great. Anything that needs to be prepared after ordering is not worth the incomprehensible wait. The wait is terrible even if the place is empty. If you want a great lunch at a better price and with better service go to Bakery Creations just two blocks away.

I’m new in town and I was looking for a yummy bakery and I was so happy I found one. I Love their pastries and breads, BUT their customer service is terrible! The third time I visited the bakery, the register was unmanned. There were a few people standing behind me waiting for services. There were employees in the back kitchen, they see us and ignore us. We had to wait at most five minutes before someone got to us, I almost walked away. This happened a few more times and I tried to look past it because their pastries are so good. The last straw was yesterday, I wanted to order a loaf of cheesy bread. The guy barely looked at me when I tried to talk to him. He kept looking at the customers(little old ladies) behind me as he was talking with me, he seemed eager to receive their orders, and they were busy talking about what they did on Mother’s Day. I walked away, he lost my business as he’s more interested about the ladies behind me. I won’t be coming back to this bakery, which is sad… I really wanted to be a loyal customer.

The food is a lot and made fresh. Come early as it gets busy after church. And split for three bucks is well worth it.

I’ve had lunch here 3 times now so I feel I can finally write a review. I can’t quite put a finger on what bothers me about this place, but I’ll give it a shot. First of all, this is in regards to the«bakery» side(to the right when you walk in), which serves café-style entrees. Again, we have only been here for lunch. Certain things can be pricey. When our group comes in we often do not know what we want. Sure, this is our fault, but for some reason the staff makes us feel exceptionally rushed. They stare at you. And there’s one rather unpleasant younger guy that works here, who’s job it must be to make you feel as unwelcome as possible. I have never seen him smile. He just stares at you with beady eyes. Apparently we’re bothering him spending money there. I think it’s just that the front area is just chaotic, even when it’s not busy. And if they keep it up, it won’t be busy more and more often. There’s a lot going on up there. You order, get silverware, water, napkins… everything, right in the same place. And since you get a number and bus your own tables, it’s mass conglomeration of crap. How about spreading it out a bit instead of making it like 405 north at 4pm on a Friday afternoon in the summer? Also, the place just doesn’t seem clean. Fingerprints, food stuck on and in silverware, inside cups, etc. The potential is there, sure, but it’s starting to look like an older trucker’s diner off route 66. And finally, the past couple times I have had lunch here I have had the chili. Both times the beans were not cooked properly; got gas? Yeah, thanks for the stomach ache SB@F&U(that’s the acronym for this place, not what I am thinking about calling the chef in the back, LOL). Speaking of back, I’m probably not coming back unless things change. Get rid of the beady-eyed dude at the front mad-dogging everyone, clean the place up and cook your blasted beans… then, I might be back.

Ok, I haven’t actually eaten here as a sit down patron, so I have no idea what the service is like. But I did purchase 10 Kugelhopf for a holiday dinner dessert(a makeshift Alsatian baba au rhum concoction). And with homemade rum syrup, it tasted very similar to a traditional baba. Dried currants, apricot bits, etc. Would I come back to purchase more? Probably. In fact, I would probably go as far as to say when on my next visit to Snohomish I’ll sample a few of their other pastries.
