The doctors are very good. This is my second time at the clinic and sadly the last
The people that register you are rude and not at all helpful. My daughter had to be seen as she had an issue with her eye and is from out of town and had a flight to catch as she is the typical busy executive.
She asked how long is the wait
” I dunno know «. Fill out the form
She filled out the form. Three of them were in the back just chatting pretending not to see her standing there with her form filled out and ignored her. Finally one sat down and took her form. Again «how long is the wait ?» I have a flight later «
Hmm… A while
My daughter said fine and C ‘ya
We went to another clinic on 2^nd.
A word to their management
People are ill and may be hurting. The first contact they have with your excellent medical staff is hampered by a rude and uncaring reception staff.
Be nice and at least try to be helpful.

I want to like this clinic, it’s close and convenient for me. However, I will not be treated like a cow in a herd! I have been a patient here for a couple years now. Most recently I called to make an appointment for a physical and for a blood draw. The scheduler asked if I was having any specific problems and I said Yes. She then asked me what they were, so I told her. She informed me that I needed a separate doctor’s appt. for the said issues. I thought it was annoying, because I have anxiety about doctor’s appointments already. The fewer the better, for me. She told me to make an «office visit» appointment and the blood draw appointment. She said the office visit and a physical are «billed differently» so I couldn’t just have a physical first. (huh??) Anyhow, my «office visit» was awful. I had to pay my $ 25 co-​pay (which I wouldn’t have to pay for a physical, go figure) and it was a VERY RUSHED appointment. The doctor informed me right away that she was very busy, I only had a 20-​min. appointment, and that she didn’t have a lot of time. She was VERY rushed. Meanwhile, I just wanted a sympathetic doctor to listen to my symptoms. Instead the doctor seemed annoyed with every new symptom I wanted to discuss (I had about 5 concerns) and told me to just discuss «my top 2» problems. No, I am not kidding. I gave up. Meaning, I decided, «forget it,» and just went quiet. I have a problem trusting doctors anyway, and this is why. I am very disheartened to have to go searching for another doctor but this just was not acceptable. I am very disheartened and miffed. And no, I will not be returning for my physical.

I had been going here for 10+ years and was always just okay with their mediocre service because I liked the Dr I saw. But I’m finally transferring out after experiencing my last dose of their awful customer service. I work in a medical office myself and know how to give great customer service and know how to talk to patients when they are upset about something. The front office person I talked to today was so utterly rude after they made me wait 3 hours to ever get an answer (via phone call) returned as to weather or not I could get a simple prescription refilled which would have relived the massive amount of discomfort that I was experiencing. That being said, I won’t be returning here and taking my health care elsewhere.

Dr. Lewis is the best family doctor I have ever gone to and I would give her 5 stars. I was so impressed with her that I recommended her to friends and family. But, the billing department and front office staff are so terrible I will never go back. I was a patient for 2 years and had to ask them to correct my address information on 4 separate occasions. I just discovered I was a month away from being sent to collections because I never received a bill or statement from them because they still had an incorrect address for me. (I had so many problems with them so I called «just to make sure» I was all caught up, thank goodness I did.) I also had to dig up year old receipts to prove that I made a payment that they claimed was not in their records. The ladies in the office were always rude when I checked in or called. I put up with it for 2 years because Dr. Lewis was so great, but even she isn’t worth it. I have heard similar stories from the family members I referred to this office. Whoops, sorry guys.

So I woke up today just looking for an ear cleaning. Called around, drove to the everett clinic in Snohomish and was informed of an hour wait, so I called in to the Snohomish family practice. The lady told me there was little to no wait. I arrived very shortly after. I was rushed through the check in and only waited in the «waiting room» for about 5 minutes. Then was seen by the nurse and was told there is one person in front of me. That was an hour ago and I am currently still sitting, waiting to be seen. This clinic I am guessing prides themselves of deceiving people with an empty «waiting room», then makes you wait an hour each time your seen once taken into the backroom. I’ve come here for years and it is always this way. Who knows how much longer this will take me, but I can assure you, this is the last time I will come here. Seriously unsatisfied customer:(

Clinic is professional, prompt and has been wonderful for our whole family. This is the first time I’ve chosen to have a «family» doctor rather than cart myself to a primary, kiddos to their pediatrician and hubby to another primary. What a gift to have stumbled upon Snohomish Family Clinic! Dr. Lewis is warm, welcoming and always makes me feel like I am her only patient. I never feel rushed and unimportant. She listens to my thoughts and concerns and gives practical as well as medical advice.
I highly recommend Dr. Lewis and Snohomish Family Medical Center! They really are amazing.

Update: I wrote the original review in 2011. It’s now 2015 and I have left SFMC and followed Dr. Starr to Providence in Monroe. Dr Rommen had been my doctor for years but he just sort of checked out. He stopped listening or taking my health seriously. Between him and his nurse, I had some fairly serious things just slip by them. I’ve dropped the rating down to one star because of the two great doctors they had, one left and one stopped being great.
Original review: This is really kind of a mixed bag review. 5 Stars on some things, 1 star on others.
Dr. Starr and Dr. Rommen are 5 star doctors. I highly recommend both of them, they are competent and have a great bed-​side manner. Both are compassionate people who actually listen to their patients and care about you as a person.
They are a Christian clinic, which would get them 5 stars — EXCEPT, they are turning away Medicare patients. I actually watched a very elderly man come out of the lab there for the last time, he was talking to his escort about having to find a new doctor because they are no longer taking Medicare patients that don’t have one of a few different Medicare Advantage plans. In my book, that’s not what Jesus would do. If secular doctors can afford to take Medicare patients, surely Christian doctors shouldn’t be turning away the disabled and elderly! They lose a lot of stars on this one. Bad Christian witness. Very bad.
They rotate their doctors into the field doing missionary work. Again, this would be a 5 star thing — IF they weren’t turning people away in their own country. If you can’t take care of the people in your community who are in need, don’t be paying your doctors to leave the country for a year and take care of others. We have so many people in need right here at home, and third world countries aren’t the only place in need of good Christian witness. Billing yourselves as a Christian clinic, putting a giant wall of missionary work you are doing up, and then telling people you can’t afford to treat them because they are old or disabled — that doesn’t make Christians look very good. More lost stars. (This also means that at some point, your doctor will go into the field for a year leaving all of his/​her patients to find a new doctor in their absence.)
Dr. Trotter. Worst. Bedside. Manner. Ever. On a good day he is socially awkward. On a bad day he’s downright offensive. There is also at least one nurse there who is bad. I don’t know her name, we just call her Nurse Ratchet.
Lori — Amazing nurse. Sweet, good sense of humor. 5 Stars.
5 Stars for having a walk-​in clinic that is open during off-​hours and so you can go in when you don’t have an appointment.
5 Stars for having an on-​site lab.
Basically, they need to either stop calling themselves a Christian clinic or live up to a Christian standard. Lose one doctor and one nurse, then I’d give them 5 stars. Right now, consider this a 2.5 star review. It broke my heart seeing that elderly gentleman leaving the clinic and his physician because he didn’t have the right kind of Medicare. :(
