Lula Ruby Salon

First, I want to say how much I love going to Angela’s salon. It’s not only stylish but a very comfortable, relaxing atmosphere to settle into while having yourself fully pampered. All the girls in there are friendly and fun to converse with. I’ve always left feeling beautiful, fresh and new!
I’ve been enjoying Lula Ruby and all it has to offer the past year and a half with the same stylist, who will remain nameless because I believe she is good at her job but could benefit from some customer service refining. The stylist and I didn’t see eye to eye a few weeks ago.
After realizing I wasn’t able to obtain what I was after with the stylist, I shared my experience directly with Angela. She listened to my concerns, empathized with my feelings and then asked me to let her, personally, fix my hair. She expressed how important it was to her each and every client leave with the hair they desired upon coming in. I accepted her offer. She worked on my hair for three hours which included a few different services. Once it was time to checkout she said this trip was on the house. She thanked me for allowing her the opportunity to make up for the situation. She went way above and beyond, far surpassing my expectations. I left Lula Ruby with the amazing hair I had hoped for the last visit! She showed me each and every client is important to her and she wants every client leaving feeling 100% satisfied.
Thank you Angela for caring so much about your client’s happiness. The purple highlights came out vibrant and beautiful. I LOVE my hair!

I had a great haircut by Jennifer! My experience was wonderful from the beginning when the receptionist was very friendly when I was booking. Jennifer really nailed what I was asking for with the cut — awesome on a first time visit. I have been searching for years for a great salon and stylist; I’ll definitely be back!

I visited this salon recently and had Kimberly give my hair a much needed face lift. She had great suggestions while still taking into consideration my lifestyle (i.e. no time to do much with my hair on a day to day basis). I was very pleased with the changes she made. I had her color and trim my extremely picky teen daughter’s hair and *gasp* my daughter actually smiled hugely when she got to see her new hair! I nearly fainted because she is rarely happy with anything done to her hair and has likely made other stylists wonder if they made the right career choice. ;-) Way to go Kimberly! We will definitely back. Oh and the prices here are very reasonable!!!

I feel like this was overpriced for what I got. It was the fastest haircut I’ve ever had (including wash and dry), which is saying a lot for someone with long hair — not that that in and of itself is a bad thing. I just went in for a trim, and my stylist did a good job. It’s hard to mess up a trim, right?
However, I was told that the cost for a hair cut was between $ 40-​$ 50. I had assumed that a trim would fall into the lesser cost category. She spent somewhere around 5 – 7 minutes actually cutting my hair. However, I was charged $ 50. That seems pretty unreasonable to me, for what I actually asked for. Had I gotten layers or bangs, or something else, I would have expected that. But for minimal work, I was not impressed with being charged full cost.

I came here once for my birthday, to get the ends of my hair bleached. I was really scared, but the very nice lady made sure I was comfortable, the staff was kind, I got some hot spiced apple cider, I felt very safe. I would have expected my hair to feel like straw! They have GREAT staff, an awesome attitude, and actually cared about what u wanted! I will definitely come back, and I recommend that u try it out.

So Thankful for Patricia! I really appreciated her understanding exactly what I wanted and being able to execute it! She took my nightmare of a hair coloring and turned it into a beautiful blonde! From now on I am going to be going to her.

What a great hair salon! I was looking for a hair stylist who would listen to my needs and knows about hair when I found this gem. When I walked in the first time they greeted me friendly, offered a tea and took time to listen to what I wanted. It is an organic salon, which is a plus in my book.
Every time I call, someone answers, if they are busy picking up they call me back very soon. They go above and beyond to find an appointment with my crazy schedule and while I hated doing that to them, they squeezed me in for a last minute appointment when I needed it. Such great customer service!
My hairstylist Patricia is a magician! She is knowledgable and passionate about her work. The color she created for me is exactly what I have imagined! It looks natural and suits my features. She doesn’t talk me into unnecessary treatments or products but offers the ones I can most benefit from.
Every time she does my hair styles it differently (by my request) and I love finding new hairdos that I never thought would look good on me.
If I’m moving, she is moving with me:))

I hate getting my hair cut, but I enjoyed going to Lula Ruby enough to go for a second time. This is going to be my regular place from now on. People are nice, they gave me a great hair cut, and the price wasn’t nearly as bad as some other places who underperformed. I highly recommend Lulu Ruby to anyone looking for a great cut at a reasonable price.

Elyssa has been taking care of our entire family for several years now, but we also love Angela and what she’s done with Lula Ruby. Support a local business run by a smart and savvy team that puts their customers first.
Just don’t do what I do and schedule last minute appointments on their lunch breaks… :-|

I went back for another haircut and was amazed again by Patricia. She is so creative and technically accurate and it’s hard to find someone that is both. I wanted a haircut where I can wash and go but still have it look professional and stylish and she made it happen! I would highly recommend her and this salon to anyone.

I have stuck with the same salon for almost 15 years. Good hair cuts but whenever I wanted a new, exciting change I was never very happy with what the stylist came up with. No creative vision, just basic skills. Every time I have made the effort and tried a new salon and stylist to try to get something different and interesting I wound up regretting it and HATING my hair…
Not the case with Patricia at Lula Ruby. Great salon, Great receptionist and very attractive interior. Patricia listened to me and went above and beyond creating my new hair style. I am so very happy and am absolutely thrilled. I left feeling beautiful and so happy.

I have been a client of Angela for many years now, when I heard she had opened her own salon I was so excited for her, she is one of the best stylist I know. Her salon is beautiful and all the staff are very nice.
I drive many miles (from Mill Creek) to get to the salon, but Angela is worth it. I won’t let anyone else touch my hair.

The best! I’ve gone to a number of salons & Patricia (PJ) is the best! When I heard she was switching salons from the east side to Snoqualmie… I was unsure if I was going to be able to make the drive there for my hair… But then I was amazed at how BEAUTIFUL the drive actually was & it truly isn’t even that far. The town where Lula Ruby is located is so quaint and adorable. Lula Ruby is also such a cute salon & I can’t imagine going anywhere else! I’ve even referred family & friends who live in PORT ORCHARD! So that’s saying something! ;) PJ always is the one who does my hair & in will forever go to her! I’ve never had so many compliments on my color as I have the past year or her doing my hair! No matter what colors– blonde, brunette, red… She is the master! Lula Ruby is quite the little escape for the day & I look forward to it & seeing PJ! :) highly recommend both!

From *bleh* to BEAUTIFUL in just over 2 hours!
This was by far the very best salon experience I have had since moving to the Seattle area in 2006. The products were A*MAZ*ING. I want to also give a great recommendation for Patricia. I am 55 and walked in with damaged, dry, over-​processed hair. She listened to my concerns, did a quick evaluation of my personality/​lifestyle and made some excellent recommendations for my hair. Cut and color… and VOILA! A whole new me — with hair that looks and feels healthy again. Patricia is my new best friend! :)

I’ve been to loads of salons since relocating to Washington, and I’ve spent fortunes on so so hair cuts and highlights in ‘fancy’ salons. I can’t believe this gem of a salon was only down the road from me the whole time. I had a full Balayage, cut, and style. Vanessa did a gorgeous job on my hair. She really listened to what I wanted, fixed up the mistakes of pervious salons, and was super sweet on top of it all. First time customers get 20% off. The whole thing cost me only $ 120 plus tip! I have long thick hair! Seriously, any other place I went to charged double that.
The salon is really nice. Contemporary classic, with huge free standing mirrors. It’s spotless, comfortable, and the music was a great mix of relaxing classy 40’s tunes. Payment was easy, no messing around with cash tips. You can just add it to your credit card which eliminates all those awkward tip moments like forgetting your stylists name or trying to seal tiny envelopes without getting paper cuts.
All the products used are organic and smell Ah-​mazing. Even the usually gross paste they use for highlights which nearly puts me unconscious with the fumes smelled of almonds and had no ill effects on me. Also got a delightful head massage during conditioning. Bliss! During styling Vanessa did show me what she was using and told me why, but never once did I feel under pressure to buy any of them.
I 100% recommend this place. Wonderful!

Angela is the best. Her salon is clean and decorated super cute. Everyone there is very nice.

Angela is phenomenal — I am a new client and have seen her 3 times — they are absolutely amazing and I highly recommend her and the salon!

One of the other stylists not Angela colored my hair. I had an allergic reaction to the hair dye. Not her fault. She put me under the dryer for what was supposed to be 15 minutes. She started cutting another clients hair. After the time went past 15 minutes she did not check on me. My head was burning. I turned off the hair dryer myself and let her know what was going on. Had I not said anything I surely would have fried my hair under the dryer. This is the same sort of thing the happend to some woman at Gene Juarez who ended up with a severe chemical burn on her scalp required plastic surgery. Although I like the idea o no ammonia, PH hair dye. I would expect better service from this type of salon.

While visiting Snoqualmie for NYE, a friend of mine made appointments for us at Lula Ruby to have our hair done up. First of all the salon is beautiful, they carry a large selection of organic products (something new to me) and staff a highly intelligent group of stylist.
Angela did me up beautifully with big barrel curls giving me big, festive fun hair for the evening. I enjoyed hearing about her son, family, traveling etc. you wouldn’t believe this young down to earth lady owns the salon!
When I’m back in the area visiting friends ill definitely be back for sexy hair!

Was excited to see that an organic salon was opening on the ridge and immediately booked an appointment after they opened! They were able to fit me in a little last minute on NYE for a cut and color and my stylist took it one step further in blowing out/​curling my hair for my evening festivities! I’ve never felt more gorgeous — she did a phenomenal job!
Awesome products, relaxing and enjoyable environment, super fun personalities, talented hairstylists for sure — Can’t wait to make Lula Ruby my regular salon!!! I highly recommend making your next haircut/​color with one of the stylists at Lula Ruby!
