Boreal Mountain Resort is the closest and most affordable ski resort in Northern California. Boreal has a major focus on families, beginners and terrain parks.

Located directly off I-​80, Boreal is an easy escape for anyone driving from Sacramento, San Jose and San Francisco. And Boreal is open from 9am — 9pm, so you can get a full-​day of skiing/​boarding no matter what time you arrive. **Hours are subjuct to change do to wind and weather.

History

Established in 1965.

Boreal has a long history on Donner Summit and deep roots within the snowboarding community.
