Karah is my new go to. I had a blast talking to her throughout my appointment and it took away the anxiety of getting my hair cut. And I walked out feeling brand new. She took her time and told me exactly what she wanted to do and why. (My hair waschopped to hell) she did a great job and I love the salon! The owner is super cool as well. Great prices on their services too!

Michelle and Michael are amazing people running this shop! Michelle is a sweetheart and has done my hair twice and has always done a great job with making my hair look really healthy, shiny, and by cutting off all split ends while still maintaining long hair. She’s very detailed oriented, and will give you what you want. Which I really appreciate since I have such a long Greek mane. ;)
Michael is very personable and always makes you feel at ease when you check in & checkout and is great with answering any questions you need scheduling, hours etc.

I got the most beautiful cut, conditioning treatment, and style from Thomas Michael. He is so knowledgeable and detail oriented. Took his time and explained all my options and talked about my future hair goals. In extremely picky and he went above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction. On top of that, my hair feels like silk now, split-​end free and ive received so many compliments. I will definitely be back. He’s wonderful and this salon is oh so cute with plenty of parking and glorious staff.

So happy with the hair cut. Got a groupon and was a little scared to try someone new for a haircut but Karah was really professional and very polite.

Stephanie is just amazing. I have never died my hair or made any radical changes. After a breakup I needed something new. I took Stephanie a photo of a look that Khloe Kardashian had that I liked and she more than nailed it. Never having colored my hair I was nervous about potential damage etc. Stephanie was so patient and walked through and explained everything to me. My hair has never looked better. Can’t recommend her highly enough!

This salon is a hidden gem! Karah did an amazing haircut and shampoo. I will be coming back for every cut! Michael, the owner is very gracious and professional, also offering drinks including the yummy cucumber water. I also liked that knowone pushed me to buy anything or upgrade what I came in for. This is my new salon for sure!

Marcos has been coloring my hair for 10 years and he is the BEST! He has such a great eye for color — most of the time I just tell him «make me look pretty» and he does his magic. If I ever want to try something different, he works with my suggestions and his knowledge. When I was younger, I had gone to hairdressers who would do whatever I wanted, even if it wasn’t a good idea. Marcos is so knowledgeable and never lets you leave looking anything less than your best. He really listens to you.
I wear my hair blonde and ONE time on a whim dyed my hair brown by myself — I got engaged a month later and realized I wanted my hair back to blonde for my wedding in 9 months. I texted Marcos, «Don’t be mad, but I did something bad to my hair and need you to fix it within 9 months.» He took me back to the light blonde I loved, slowly so that my hair wouldn’t get damaged, and my hair was perfect for my wedding. I will never trust anyone to touch my hair besides Marcos!
Aside from his incredible skills, he is friendly and fun to talk to — I always look forward to my appointments. The salon is great as well, with easy parking and awesome products.

It’s now been almost exactly 3 years since my first awful experience with this ridiculous owner. He has again reached out to me too let me know my claims/​experience is false and that I’m a liar. Dude just doesn’t get it. Move on! You’re just proving my point and digging yourself into a deeper hole.
Like I said in my previous update, if you for some reason end up going into this salon and decide to write a Unilocal review, it better be a positive one or you’ll get the wrath of Michael. It’s kind of like having an annoying little dog that yaps all the time and/​or nips at your ankles. I’m over what happened but clearly he is not. If your business is doing so great, why bother contacting me at all?! Negative reviews happen sometimes.
Michael, if you’re reading this, please just let it go. Move on. Focus on the customers you already have. It’s been 3 years. I’ve moved on and hopefully you can too. Good luck!

This is my second review, and I wanted to go more in details.
Stephanie DeSanti is THE best stylist!
First I came to Radius 2 with the groupon deal for haircut and style. It’s strategically located in Solana beach close to the freeway. I liked that a lot and the space in general. But even more I liked Stephanie and her way to do my hair!
I needed to get ready for very important event, and my hair was just «the must» to look gorgeous! And Stephanie made it happen! In 15min she transformed my straight hair in the amazing curls that STAYED FOR 2 days! I couldn’t be more happy!
Definitely recommend her to everyone!!!

DO NOT go here. Not only will they RUIN the condition of your hair (several clumps of mine fell out before I left there, and the rest felt like boiled spinach!) AND your hair color, but if you have a special event or occasion, you will be humiliated.
My husband and I were going to the East Coast to see family and friends that we had not seen for many years. I had remarked several times how much I needed my hair color to look great. Instead, it was the WORST hair coloring experience I have EVER had! By far. So much so that I have not gone anywhere since, because I’ve been afraid of further damage and color screw up. By the way, my hair, which had been a beautiful platinum blonde, expertly and perfectly done for two years by the same woman at a salon in Hermosa Beach, had an overall GRAY tint when I left Salon Radius 2. It was a Saturday afternoon, and our flight left at 7:00 a.m. Monday, leaving no time for color repair even if my hair could have withstood it.
Last, but certainly not least, when I called as soon as we returned home, the owner (Michael) promised me that either he or his wife would take care of fixing my hair color at no charge. When I finally got the nerve to face my fears and called to go in and have it done correctly, he told me he had never said that! Seriously??! I had been going there for over a year, without it ever being perfect, and he knew it. Now, you lie to me? The only reason I kept going was because Thomas said his primary goal was to protect my hair.
Oh, yes. Another blow… when Thomas rinsed my hair too early and it had not lightened enough, he re-​applied more bleach product. This, I am certain, is what caused such horrible damage to my hair. And to top it off? He CHARGED me for the extra product he had to use! Because HE rinsed it too soon!!! I was too stunned to make a scene right then and there, but included this information days later when I called Michael about what had happened.
Too bad Unilocal won’t let me give 0 stars. I honestly did not even want to leave ONE.

Crystal is a miracle worker. I naturally have dark blonde hair and after getting married and changing my name I wanted to go for a different look so I dyed my hair very very dark (Almost black) after about a year and the sun coming back for summer I wanted to get back to my natural hair color. I ended up going to another salon and after $ 360, 2 days and 12 hours in the chair my hair was a complete mess. They had done horrible highlights which bleed and then tried to fix everything with blonde in the front which ended up looking like I got attacked at the lauder-​mat. All of the hair on the top and front of my head was extremely damaged, it had that gummy, sticky feeling when wet. I honestly considered cutting all my hair off and spent a few hours crying.
One of my girl friends took me out to try and cheer me up and we ended up walking right past Salon Radius 2. I wanted to get an opinion about my hair and they were amazing right from the beginning. I talked to Crystal and she reassured me that although it was a mess she would be able to set it right. I left to go back to the other salon to get my money back and then decided to take the plunge and make an appointment with Crystal. She was texting back and forth with me on her day off to make sure I could get in before this weekend because I am going to a bachelorette party, she even gave me a 5:30 appt. (meaning we had to be there until about 8) to make sure that everything got fixed. She was so sweet and understanding and when I went in I was very very nervous about anyone touching my hair again. The whole staff was so understanding, Michael offered me a glass of wine and Crystal and I had a long discussion about what she could do to fix me up. In the end my hair looks 1000x better. I am so excited to show off my new blonde locks! She was so sweet and although she went above and beyond she didn’t charge me an arm and a leg. Even though I am moving in August to LA she has won a customer for life. If you need any kind of color correction this is your girl!

I am obsessed with Stephanie DeSanti at Salon Radius 2! She is a master colorist and she has cut my hair in an adorable bob all the way to long layers and I am happy every time! I have been with Stephanie for almost 10 years and I refuse to go to anyone else and I drive all the way from downtown just to see her!
Plus Salon Radius 2 is such a cute salon, great location right off of Via De La Valle and the owner Michael is so sweet and friendly! I highly recommend you go in to Stephanie not only because she is so talented but she is ultra professional and kind!

I am very glad I found this fancy and stylish hair salon. There’re only professionals. I am happy I found the great coloring master Marcos. I absolutely trust Marcos and rely on his opinion and treatments he suggests to me. Unfortunately I never heard about B&B before, but now I am totally hooked on this line of products. My story is simple I’ve been blond for a long time and my look became over bleached, hair became exhausted and dry. Literally, I had to go through rebranding myself and have become a healthy looking brunette. I absolutely love it. However, processed hair even after coloring need control and ongoing retouch. Lucky me, I see Marcos about once in two months, when he makes my hair looking even better. It’s a very good place, I suggest you to check it whenever you need anything to be done for your particular look.

Crystal is very Talented she’s blessed with Gold Hands!
First time I came to Crystal was when I needed color correction… The guy who did my hair before really turned me from healthy brunet to damage yellow blonde… i was embarrassed to go out of the house, then a friend convinced me to go to Crystal
At first I didn’t want to as I was traumatize.
But Ill tell you that she correct my color and turned it from ugly dry yellow hair to gorgeous shiny carmel ombré. since I LOVE her work I go back every 2 months for roots and trim!
On the Salon I can say that Michael was always nice and friendly, I like having Glass of Chardonnay…
Parking always available.
Never waited for my appointment.
The Products they offers are very good quality.

I went in for my first haircut with Stephanie. As a guy, I’m not very picky when it comes to my haircut and I’m well used to the $ 8 haircut I used to get a Supercuts.
The service was great. Michael the owner calmly greeted me with a smile and offered me a drink. The inside deco was very upscale and nicer compared to other salons and spas I’ve visited in the past.
Stephanie was great and gave me a few options on which way we could go with my cut. I basically told her to work her magic and keep a sophisticated look. I was blown away! I now know exactly why the saying you «get what you pay for» exists!
I will be returning regularly to stay ahead of the hair fashion curve.
Thanks Stephanie for transforming this dud into a stud!

My hair WAS like an blank canvas… all the way to my behind… and straight… anything could be done with it
I bought a Groupon b/​c my hair was starting to get crunchy at the ends and i guess i was due for a haircut. i made my appointment.
As the big day got closer I started to think that i would get adventurous and do something other than cut straight across the bottom.
i decided to shorten it a tad and throw some glamour into my hair.
Crystal did a great job executing my request. A bit shorter than I had anticipated… but doesn’t that happen with every haircut… doesn’t it??? I’m not distraught… i know it will grow back, so Crystal is not going to see me for quite a while! However for those of you who like to have a regular haircut and maintain your glamour… this is a great place to go.
i got a shampoo and a gentle scalp massage… then a deep condition with 10 minutes under the dryer. followed by an expert haircut and a style that prepared me for an exciting night on the town with my fellow UnilocalERS!
i now have a glamorous haircut that i still tie up in a ponytail or a bun… on a day to day basis… most people can not tell that i did anything other than cut it significantly shorter. However i now have the option to spruce myself up to go out on the town.
Thank you for a great experience! I will be back… eventually…
