I’ve been going here for over 10 years. I love this place and the staff. If your looking to get permanent makeup I would highly recommend Dale (the owner). I had my eyebrows done over ten years ago and it changed my life!!! I recently had them touched up… over ten years they fade. Once again she did an AMAZING job! The atmosphere is super cute and chic, they go above and beyond to take care of you!!!

Just got a facial and brow wax and I am hooked. I saw Sarah. She did a great job, I was so relaxed and enjoyed the treatment so much. She did a great job of educating me on the products without pushing me to buy them. I ended up buying some anyway but I never felt pressured. She also made my eyebrows look better then anyone who has ever done them. Love this place.

Just had another facial last week, the No Foolin’ Around. I always get microderm and a peel but this time I was told they had a dermaplane option. My friend had it done and raved about it so I tried it. So interesting! Made my face so soft!
Even though l enjoyed trying a new technique, I still like microdermabrasion, so l might alternate between that and the dermaplane every other facial (which is about a 1x/​mo experience for me).
I have a lot of friends who complain about skin problems and l always try to tell them about getting facials. But a lot of ppl think facials are just a face cream and massage. Not this facial. This specific facial gets down n dirty to rid my face of the ugly secrets l hide with heavy makeup (probably part of my issue!!).
I got this facial done a week ago yesterday and last night my mom asked what l did to my skin, because it looked amazing! I told her l had a facial with «my spa» and she was impressed with how glowingly clear and beautiful my complexion is.
I am so glad my husband and l moved back to So Cal. I still live in North County SD, but it is so WORTH the drive and the money to come here with experienced estheticians who have extensive knowledge and training with skin care. I don’t trust my face with anyone else!
Don’t get caught up by the bad reviews… that was such a mess up from Groupon, not Spa Violet! Take it from someone who has been a steady customer for 10+ years! Even when we lived in Colorado, l would stop here on visits home.
You will never find a better spa! :)

I have been here a few times now and they are all so amazing! I received a facial and it was one of the best facials I have ever had and I have been to some very high end spa and this one was one of the best by far! And I have got nail done to and she was amazing! She does travel a lot so some time her schedule is a little hard but she I’d def worth it! I hold spa to very high standards and they are a good place to go! I would highly recommend this spot!

Sarah had been taking care of my skin for several years at Facelogic in Encinitas. Sadly, Facelogic closed its doors in November. I followed Sarah to Spa Violet in Solana Beach, she’s worth the drive.
Sarah is a skilled aesthetician with a sweet disposition and great etiquette. We chat and catch up for the first few minutes of my appointment, but then she focuses on giving a great facial and I get to quiet my mind and relax. I’ve fallen asleep during my facial several times! In addition to being a skin genius, she gives an incredible neck and shoulder massage during the facial.
I get a facial once a month. My skin has never looked better!

In addition to the perfect location, laid back atmosphere and friendly staff — this place offers some nice skincare (which they would ship to you free of charge, if you run out).
Spa Violet is one of the few remaining merchants that still sell LiLash — the one and the only eyelash conditioner that has worked for me, and I have tried quite a few.
Give this place a try, check out their products — I think you’ll be glad you did.

If you like commercial, cookie cutter, blah blah blah, give Spa Violet a try anyway. Chances are you will be hooked.

First, I love supporting small businesses. This is a cute spa, in a nice area. Great to follow with shopping or what have you. I love the ladies that work here. It just feels like such a nice space to take a moment to relax in!

Cute location… Dale has great technique and spent a lot of time ensuring that my brows were perfect! This is the second time I have had my brows done by Dale and I will always return for touch ups.

I had a wonderful experience at Spa Violet. It is a quaint little place, quiet, simply decorated and plays very restful music in the background. I was treated with great care from the moment I called in for my appointment, being called to confirm the appointment and then being greeted when I arrived. I was ushered into Gina’s treatment room where I was shown where to put my purse, hang my clothes and given a dish for my jewelry. Gina explained what my treatment entailed which made me feel very informed and confident in what she was going to do. She gave me one of the best facials I have ever had. And I got a neck and shoulder massage in the process. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this wonderful place to anyone and in particular Gina.

I have gone to Spa Violet on some of their specials AND have used Groupon on the facials 3 times. Meaning I have purchased on Groupon 3 times. Each Groupon was for 3 facials.
They never skimped. They never asked for my ID#. Only when I checked in did I bring my Groupon certificate.
They treated me as if I paid $$$ for the services. They were great, and I apologize – the young lady that did my facial (can’t recall her name as it’s been 9 months since I went) She was GREAT!!! She gave me a fantastic facial. Did not try to up sell me in anyway. In fact, I asked if I could add a peel or mask and they did!
I am planning on going back with my new Groupon and treating myself. I have never had anything less than great service, a very clean and inviting atmosphere and very professional.

I’ve been going to Gina for massages since I went there after using a Groupon certificate a couple of years ago. I’ve not used any of the other services so have no comments related to the postings below. I can say Gina is one of the best massage therapists I’ve had and always buy her package of 3 90 minutes massages. Sometimes I’m nice and let my husband use one of the sessions!
It’s not a fancy spa if that is what you’re looking for but if you want a great massage or try one of the wraps Gina does I’d highly recommend.

Beautiful little place. Dale tattooed my eyebrows, did a wonderful job, love the way they look. Two ladies I work with have been to Dale for eyebrow tattoo and they both look great. I went on their recommendation and was not disappointed. Dale took here time and they came out perfect. I’ve seen some scary eyebrow «jobs» mine are fantastic, why did I wait so long…

I’ll never come back here. I purchased the Groupon for a «spa» manicure and pedicure and used it back in June of 2012. I was going to Las Vegas for my birthday and wanted to pamper myself! It was the most pathetic excuse for a mani/​pedi ever. The girl working on me was so sweet, but told me she was new there and inexperienced. I feel awful writing such a bad review but it was not a good experience. First off, it’s not a salon, it’s a house in a residential area. They make it sound like this charming little place on the phone when they’re describing how to find them… no. It’s just a random house on a street in Solana Beach. And you know what, fine, that would be okay if they didn’t have chairs from the fifties. Meaning, she filled up a pot of hot water and balanced it on the bottom of the chair for me to soak my feet. I couldn’t relax because I was so nervous it was going to spill everywhere! It was a cold day (June Gloom) and they had the windows open in the house, so the water got cold pretty quickly and soon my feet were just sitting in cold water in an uncomfortable position. She did my nails with regular polish and kept complaining that the polishes there had awkward handles and she wasn’t used to them. Doesn’t inspire much confidence. When it came to my manicure, she missed a lot of the sides of my nails. I ended up putting glitter on them the next day to make them look better. I was honestly glad to leave that place, their «waiting room» is super tiny and I’m surprised people feel comfortable relaxing there after a massage. I would feel very awkward!

I cant understand some of the other reviews. My experience was GREAT! My hubby got me a groupon for ½ hr massage, hot stone, lemon scrub, thermal wrap. The massage although only ½ hr was sooooo good. One of the best I ever had. I did have to book the appt two weeks in advance. They offered me earlier, but I couldn’t do that day.
Anyways, the scrub, and then the hot stones… marvelous. The thermal wrap was so relaxing. When I left I was completely relaxed, and feeling great. The place is nice, and staff were super attentive. FIVE STARS from Susan!

Save your money… even on a groupon. Don’t do it!
I bought the groupon because it sounded amazing… yeah, not so much.
Let’s start with the pedicure chair… I’m used to my $ 17 for a pedicure, amazing massage chair. And this pedi is normally $ 55 so they should have an even better chair — right? Nope, it’s an antique barbershop chair. So uncomfortable. No massage — no reclining, just plain weird.
Next — the massage, or serious lack there of… for $ 55 — you should get an amazing massage. And one of the main reasons for getting a pedi is the massage. Massage? Rubbing my feet for 30 seconds does not count as a massage. My normal $ 17 pedi — at least 10 minutes of a good solid massage. And no hint of a massage on the manicure. So disappointing.
Lastly — my $ 17 pedi last for at least a month… this one is already chipping after a week!
The website plays up these amazing treatments… I did not receive any such treatment. And the groupon even said a $ 90 value — HA!
The one positive? The girl that did my nails was so nice and so sweet. I feel bad for her…

I bought the mani/​pedi groupon and found it to be very easy to schedule my appointment. I did schedule about 1 month in advance. They sent a confirmation email and I was able to import it right into my calendar.
While the place is small and the pedicure chair was not very comfortable, my manicurist could not have been any nicer. My nails looked great.
While I was waiting for my nails to dry, the aesthetician was giving me makeup tips.
I was nervous going in based on previous reviews but was pleasantly surprised.

This review is for the mani/​pedi Groupon service.
If you cannot accommodate the number of appointments, I suggest the following:
1. Offer only limited number of Groupons and/​or
2. Extend the expiration date of the Groupons
I had the hardest time booking appointments both using the online booking thing and over the phone. Please do not complain to me how many people are trying to schedule appointment because you should have known this when you decided to offer deals on Groupon.
It’s too much time and stress to try out a new place. I cancelled my Groupon and I certainly would not recommend this place to anyone.

I also bought a Groupon for this place. I was looking for a new pedicurist since my regular lady retired.
«Spa Voilet» is in a tiny house without a sign on the door.
It was the first day for the lady who did my nails. She did okay, but she was struggling to find out where everything was in the place, and apologized that it was her first day on the job.
The kicker was after the manicust finished the manicure & pedicure, the manager came over and said, «We’re going to charge you a lot more for a French.» I asked the manicurist how much if was and she said she didn’t know. When I got to the counter, then manager wanted another $ 17.00 in addition to the Groupon money I had already paid. Buyer BEWARE! Don’t go here.
