COIT Cleaning and Restoration of New Jersey

Serviced carpeting in Living Room and Bedroom and Tile Floor in Bathroom. 1−6−15.
Arrived late. Left early. Did not stay 2 hours. No one from office ever called or even an e-​mail as a follow-​up to find out how things went. Paid $ 24 for van to park in condo parking to make it easier for them. To find out that they sometimes park on street meter parking. One of the two men was on cell phone part of the time. He allowed ‘machine’ to flood over with dirty water all over my hardwood dining room floor. Didn’t even think to stop and empty dirty water. I had to jump up with bath towels to mop up. Neither of the men budged to assist. They brought ZERO drop cloths. COIT was recommended to me as an A+ operation. Sadly they are not. I refrain from using the two men’s names who were on my team that day. Never again. Would use Stanley Steamer.

I have been using COIT to clean my dryer vent for years. They do a great job and are always on time and courteous. They have great deals so keep an eye out for their mailings!

They didn’t show up for the first appointment. But they apologized and did a great job! Thank you guys!!!

I am very disappointed in their pricing structure. They are the most expensive tile cleaning service in the area. I was given a per sq foot estimate on the phone then the tech came and performed the work. While the tile does look brand new the bill surprised me. He estimated sq footage at 30 sq feet more than actual and that’s what he based charges on. He used his feet to measure even though my tiles are 12 inch squares. Then with 50% off it was the cost of what I had expected it be without the discount! Tech is coming back to fix a spot he missed and I will show him measurements to see if pricing based on correct measurements can be done. These techs are commissioned based and I believe he jacked up the price. I will not be using them for tiles again not would I recommend them.

I just moved into a new house and used coit for carpet, air duct and dryer vent cleaning. I used Charles. He was super friendly, very professional, and knew exactly what he was talking about. I Couldn’t be happier with the service. The carpets came out great, they look like new! I Would definitely use them again!

I heard of COIT through their sponsorship of and work with the Animal Welfare Association. After my cat was sick last fall/​winter, and I ended up with urine stains all over my couches, I finally got around to calling COIT to clean them, since my multiple attempts to get the smell out were obviously failing.
When I called, the receptionist was extremely friendly and offered me an appointment for an estimate and (if I agreed with the estimate) to have the work done within a day or two. I asked for a later date, to accommodate my schedule, and that was no problem. Brandon, the service rep, called me that morning and asked if he could come earlier than planned, and that was fine by me. I explained the issue with my cat, and he wrote up and estimate, which included a special pet treatment, because of the urine.
He was there for about an hour and a half, cleaning 3 pieces of furniture. He told me it would take 4 – 8 hours for the couches to dry, but they actually took closer 24 hours the the super stuffed areas. Once it was dry, I noticed that some of the smell was still there. I called COIT about 2 weeks later (I had gone away on vacation in the interim) and they sent someone back out to re-​clean the areas that still smelled. That process was much faster — I’d say the technician was there for about 15 – 20 minutes.
Unfortunately, while the smell is much improved, there is still some smell on my couches. I’m not sure if they are just not getting down into the creases of the couch or what the issue is, but on hot days when the sun is shining into my living room, you can still smell the pet stains.
Perhaps this was just a challenging job, but I’ll have shop around if I need cleaning services again in the future.
