Worst breakfast experience I have ever had. My fiancé and I were incredibly exited to try CJ’s. The menu looked like everything we would ever want in a restaurant. Never Have we been more wrong. –When we walked up we found a cell phone on a table outside. Being good samaritans we decided to bring it inside to a lost and found so it wouldn’t be stolen. The restaurant was quite busy so it took us a moment to be acknowledged by the staff. A waitress eventually just pointed to where we should sit. No hello no welcome, just pointed her finger to where we should sit. I walked up to this woman and told her about the phone we found, to which she replied«Oh, that’s mine.» She took it and put it in her pock, No thank you and any other forms of appreciation. — We then waited over 10 minutes to have someone come over to our table. –Once our server came and took our food and drink orders it took another 5 or so minutes to get our drinks. Through our entire meal we were never asked about a refill, even though our glasses were nearly empty before our food arrived. — Our food took about 25 minutes to come out. When it did, mine came out wrong. My lightly cooked omelet came out well done and our server gave me bacon instead of pumpernickel. When I made mention about the omelet our server did offer to get me a correct one; but again there were no apologies. That omelet took about 10 minutes to come out. When I asked about the bacon she gave us an attitude and told us they«I guess I can switch that out for you», like she was doing us a favor by bringing us out the wrong meal item. — Both of our meals were bland. My fiancé could barely cut through the English muffin on his egg Benedict. My toast(when it eventually came out) was no more than warmed bread. I am honestly not sure how you can mess up toast. — Flatware was given to us after we already had our meals. — Additionally at no point were we ever given the opportunity to ask for additional condiments or any changes to our meal experience. Our server never asked how things were or even if everything was ok. She simply dropped of the food and left. — At this point over and hour has passed and we were both disgusted with our experience. We asked for a to-go container for our food. We were given 1 small plastic container for both of our nearly full plates. Our hope was that maybe we could bring the food home and salvage it so it wouldn’t be a complete waste of money. Never have I been so appalled at a facility. I will not be returning an I highly recommend that you don’t waste your time here either.

Staff is always super knowledgeable and share their favorites. Food is consistently good. Last time I went with a friend and her young/baby son– they were extremely helpful with making sure all 3 of us were served as customers. Great place for families!

Just had lunch at Cj’s. Food was good, got a fancy burger with bacon, goat cheese and apples, great idea but needed a sauce to tie it together and it will be great. My son had the SOS, his favorite, he enjoyed the dish and would order it again. Unfortunately our server was not very good, and, we do not hold the bar high, as we both work/worked in the restaurant business. Hopefully she is new and will get the hang of it quickly. We have eaten here quite a few times and have never been disappointed. We will be back.

Went for breakfast with my 3 year old, a friend and her 6 week old, as we 4 go out to breakfast almost every week and try a new place in the SP/OC area. It was a busy Sunday morning but the staff was super accommodating and friendly towards my little lady. Other guests were also friendly towards my outgoing social toddler. CJs has an AWESOME Eggs Benedict menu, and the pancake options are incredible. Just ok ice tea, but we will definitely be back. Fairly warm inside, though it was record breaking heat outside and there was a wait so the door was probably open more than usual. Great local place.

LOVECJ’s! Small corner joint with delicious consultant breakfast choices. Almond joy pancakes, southwest hot cakes, organic oatmeal w/fruit, honey and nuts. Yummy home fries –actually my favorite anywhere around town. Blueberry coffee. My list can go on & on. When down the shore, hop off shore and stop at CJ’s. You won’t regret it

I have been to Cj’s twice. The space is small but very cozy and welcoming. The staff is attentive and very friendly. The first time I went I ordered the bananas foster French toast, it was SO good! The second time was just as delicious, saracha sausage goat cheese omelet. I have had trouble finding a good breakfast spot and this is by far the best spot, well worth the 12 minute drive from Margate.

The food is bland and the soup is obviously from a can. Waitress was slow. Small dirty place. Won’t be back ever.

I’m a bit of a breakfast snob, but this place is really nothing special. I’ve only gone once, and I got one of my breakfast favorites, the eggs Benedict. It was not good from here because the hollandaise was weirdly clumpy and my eggs were barely runny. My boyfriends breakfast sandwich was good, but that’s pretty hard to mess up. On the upside the service was good, but that will not be bringing me back.

This restaurant is solid – great food, staff, and prices. It’s really nice when you find a place like this where they go above and beyond to make sure your experience is a good one. Definitely recommend this place!

I’m not a chicken salad guy, nor have I ever stuck to the floor, waited a long time or had any bathroom issues. It’s a shame a place like CJ’s overall rating is lowered by the bad experiences of a few, just because there aren’t a lot of reviews for this Somers Point staple. Most times I’m chowing down on their breakfasts, the Bennies being a clear front runner for me(the delectable French Toast or Cinnamon bun pancakes for my wife), but I won’t hesitate to have lunch here either(fish tacos and the previously crowned Best Crab cake Sandwich in the area). The wait staff is always friendly, hardworking and accommodating. Food may be a little more expensive than other local places, but the quality far surpasses any others. The guys really know what they’re doing. It wouldn’t be a trip down the shore without at least one stop at CJ’s!

A great local spot. Foods fresh. Well cooked. Flavorful & the service was quick. It’s open from 7am-4pm and serves as the go to in the area. Right across the street from a hospital and plenty of Drs offices. The waitress was a sweetheart and very attentive. I’ll be back for sure!
