I have been going to this store for 6 years and have just made my last visit. Stopped for a half case of Stella and on the way out saw a sale on Pinot Grigio. Picked up two bottles for a roasted Cod dinner the following night. Opened a bottle with dinner and switched to ice water after two sips. The color was off and the wine tasted like bad sherry. After dinner, I brought the two bottles back to the store(a 10 mile round trip). Neither employee knew wines but one commented«you got salad dressing». I looked at the display case of the same Pinot Grigio and saw at least 4 other bottles that had the very same deep caramel coloration. When I pointed this out to the employees that stood motionless Looking for a substitute, I picked up two bottles of Cupcake Pinot Grigio. These two bottles cost a total of $ 12 more. When the employee informed of the difference, I suggested he should throw that in considering the wasted time, mileage to say nothing of the effect on dinner. He said that he couldn’t do that. When I told him that he should inform the owner of that lack of empowerment and that after 6 years, I would no longer be back, the other employee wished a very sarcastic«have a nice day». Be extra careful of their sale items, apparently they are not

An excellent store to stop by if you’re looking to expand your palate on all ends of adult beverages including craft beers, fine wines, and exclusive liquors. Every time I’ve attended, I’ve been able to sample a new 6-pack or find a liquor in a different bottle I haven’t found in many other stores. They don’t boast a large establishment, though it is bigger on the inside than appears, but they have a well educated crew and keep just enough in stock each week to allow them to offer more options on whatever tickles your fancy.

This is my go to liquor store. Less than a half a mile from my house I find myself here almost every week. Prices are a bit higher than then the wine vista on Elizabeth Ave but I frequent here for the service and the convenience.

Would not shop here again. Bought 2 bottles of Nobilo pinot noir for a friend’s dinner party and one was pretty much vinegar and the other was on its way. They weren’t exactly open at 11 when I was leaving the party so I called today to tell them. The guy said to bring them back and he’d take care of me, but short of that, he wasn’t going to take care of me. And I am not about to drive an hour and a half to get my money back, even if I had the bottles. Anyway, I could have paid $ 13 for a big bottle, rather than $ 40 for two skunked bottles of crap. If he had offered to refund me for one bottle even I probably would have not bothered to write this review. The prices are sky high too, so I will def never darken their door again.

Great selection and super accommodating – if they don’t have it they will get it! And get a sandwich from the deli a few doors down. You will thank me.

Always very accomodating: will find any new/obscure product that you are looking for and will have it for you in less than a week.

My only complaint is about prices, which can be very high when compared to Bottle King or Buy Rite. These days I am trying to save an extra buck or two so this place is for convenience only. Nice people. Nothing wrong with their wine selection but not exceptional.

Great selection for a tiny store. Friendly service. Roll your own six pack of microbrews(they sell them loose, but they are warm.) But they have plenty of cold beers from around the world. Great selection of wine, but they if you are scoring your ‘daily drinker’ here(e.g. Smoking Loon Pinot Noir) you are paying about $ 2 more a bottle than at the chains(e.g. Bottle King). The Iceman Cometh — if you ever need ice for a picnic, you can get plenty here. Some of the local joints run out.

This is one of the best wine stores in the state. Full selection of Australian, Chilean, and even some Hungarian wines. The staff is really nice and friendly and it’s the perfect neighborhood place to pick up a few bottles. Also, for the beer drinkers, check out the selection of microbrews, the store even lets you do a «pick six» to make a groovy customized six pack of unique bottles.
