Our friendly eye doctor, optician and staff will expertly fit you in contact lenses, designer eye glasses, reading glasses, eye glasses for sports, eye glasses for computers, etc., from our optical dispensary.

We provide counseling and treatment options for dry eyes, computer vision syndrome, diabetic retinopathy, presbyopia, astigmatism, glaucoma, and various other eye diseases, LASIK co-​management, Corneal Refractive Therapy and many more.

We accept most vision and medical insurance plans, including VSP, Eyemed, AETNA, BCBS, Medicare, Medicaid and many more. Please inquire with us. Financing Plans available as well through Care Credit.

Established in 2010.

Franklin Family Eyecare was conceived on the basis not only of treatment of eye disease and vision correction, but also on overall wellness and disease prevention. We pride ourselves in:

Meet the Business Owner

Dr. Josephine N.

Business Owner

Dr. Ngong-​Tawe is a PhD Scientist and Optometrist in one. She researched and published work critical to eye health, prior to moving on to obtain a Doctorate in Optometry.

After graduating from the New England College of Optometry, she completed internship programs in the Boston area and in NJ. These internships provided her with extensive training in diagnosing and treating ocular diseases, as well as experience in co-​managing laser refractive and cataract surgery.

She has been a practicing Optometry in the state of New Jersey since 2000. She brings her skills both as a practicing Optometrist and a research scientist to better diagnose and manage chronic ocular disease such as glaucoma and diabetes. She also diagnoses and treats acute ocular conditions like allergies, dry eyes, pink eyes, and evaluates and corrects vision problems with both eyeglasses and contacts. She is passionate about eye care in diabetics.

Dr. Ngong-​Tawe is a member of the American Optometric Society (AOA).
