Yup, it’s an IHOP, and it’s not bad compared to other locations. The food was good, though a bit uneven if they’re really busy. We almost always get a good breakfast, great IHOP pancakes, and they will make you pretty much any omelet you want. My wife gets a spinach and cheese omelet that’s just full of nice looking and tasty spinach. I’ve had a great ham, swiss and cooked onions omelet too. Both were very good. The coffee is good if you have the patience to wait for it to come out of those thermoses they give you(take the top off to pour it like a real pitcher and save time ;-) All for a decent price for what you get. That’s why it’s so busy.

Service sucks and food is mediocre. Its so bad I created this Unilocal account just to post this review. I waited 30 minutes for a breakfast sampler to go. The«manager» just stands there like a bouncer at a club. You’re better off going to McDonalds.

Typical brunch menu. Lot of options for both vegetarians and non vegetarians. All drinks are bottomless. Kept it simpke and ordered coffee. Generous serving portions. They have combos on their menu which makes choosing easier. I ordered the Tuscan scramble and shared the dish with a friend of mine. It was a combo of scrambled eggs, hash brown and pancakes. Also ordered a waffle with berries and whipped cream topping. They also have a choice of syrups– strawberry, blueberry, butter peanut and old fashioned on the table. Tried out all and were very good.

This IHOP has ruined my taste for IHOP as a whole. For starters, the place was filthy and it was not busy either so that is no excuse for the mess nor no one cleaning it. My server was not attentive and hardly came to check on us. No where to be found when we wanted refills or to clean off our table after we finished the appetizers. The appetizer plates stayed on our table even after the main dishes were served! On top of the fact that the food was terrible. When I spoke to the manager about my concerns, he was too busy swiping my card for my $ 50 bill. I will never give them my money again!

One comment: ROACHES! While we were eating breakfast this morning, a roach crawled across the window ledge at our booth. YUCK!!! The table behind us had apparently already told the waiter. Nothing done. I mentioned it to the cashier. Her response was, «oh». No apology, no real surprise in her expression.

This IHOP location runs hot and cold. When it first opened they were quickly overwhelmed and not experienced enough to manage it. They quickly got a bad rep. Things gradually got better over the years, but you can still hit it on an off day. There was a problem with food prep early on, but thankfully that seems to be resolved. Most people I see on here have complained about service, and that’s where I also say they are uneven. Went there today for lunch about 1pm. My waiter was prompt, friendly, and attentive. We had one little miscommunication, which he quickly fixed. And like I said, I put it down to miscommunication rather than him outright getting it wrong. I think I confused him when I ordered. And he fixed it immediately and with a smile. The thing I will complain about is that they were doing maintenance during the lunch hour. Fixing chairs, reupholstering booths, who knows what. Right there in the dining room while people were eating, they were running power tools, staple guns, hammering stuff. They should have taken that stuff out back, or at least waited ’til a more«off» hour than 1 to 2 pm. Bad judgement call, management! My food was great actually. I had something called the Tuscan Scramble: with spinach, diced tomatoes, and fresh parmesean. Mixed in scrambled eggs of course. Looking for an adjective here… Fresh tasting? Wholesome? I can’t explain precisely how something tastes«fresh.» Fresh is not a taste bud. It didn’t taste like health food, but it tasted«healthy.» Light yet satisfying. Like a big drink of cold spring water when you’re really thirsty. I usually lean toward bacon & eggs, potatoes & toast, butter & cheese. But I really enjoyed this dish. Recommended. Everything else was standard IHOP. Tasty but nothing special. In short, this IHOP is ok. Just be prepared for occasional service issues. __________ I just want to respond to some other reviews here of this IHOP that I just read. One gentleman said it was awful and they were terrible people, and he was forced to eat here 4 days in a row because there was no other place open. But this place is only like 200 yards from the Somerset Diner which is open 24 hours and serves breakfast 24 hours. Plus there are several other dining choices within that same little area, including a 24 hour McDonald’s and a 24 hour Dunkin Donuts. All 3 of those places were there even before the IHOP was built. You can’t miss them. Another person said if you have to eat here, you might as well stay on the road a little longer and go to Manalapan. Manalapan is not«a little longer.» Its like 30 miles /30 minutes away. I think both of these reviewers must be talking about the wrong IHOP.

We went for dinner on a Friday night, it was about 5pm. Our waitress was very nice and friendly. Service was little bit slow considering there were only about 3 other tables in the entire place that were seated, but we were in no rush so it didn’t matter very much to us. Upon entering, I noticed a sign on the door that said«Kids Eat Free on Fridays» so I was happy since I had two toddlers in tow. I ordered the Lemon Blackberry Criss-Sandwich(?) and it was delicious. I would order it again and again.

This is a regular ihop with its usual quality of food. This is the place to be at when needing pancakes or good breakfast food. I came here midday and it was not rushed at all. Our server was amicable and efficient(there was only one other party besides my friends and I though). The food came quickly and was quickly devoured. My sister loved the cheesecake pancakes. All in all it was a good experience

I was staying at a hotel down the road from this Ihop and unfortunately at the time I needed to eat breakfast this was the only place open. This review is based on eating here four days in a row, with four different staffs. The first day I was here, I was surprised at how the wait staff was wearing normal street clothes, later I realized that this is normal. The waitress was rude and inattentive. I was drinking a coke and when I asked to switch to a sprite, I was charged for two separate drink orders because they are different flavors. Everyday that followed I was either charged for something that I never ordered or I was overcharged for what I did order. When I asked for the prices to corrected I was given even worse service. I will never go to any ihop again.

Ihop does have some few good food items. This location use to be always busy. I have not seen this location hoping in a very long time. I don’t know if it’s the staff location. Customer service is not that great. Waited over 20 min for my order and there were maybe 4 table seated in the whole place.

Usually one star reviews are from someone ranting about how their party of 19 didn’t get good service or some little nit-picky things about the food. This one star review is based on my dining experience with one person, and the service or food wasn’t even that bad. I actually enjoy IHOP’s. Been to about 5 or 6 different ones. But this place is just disgusting… the carpet must have taken a beating because the place smells like a neglected retirement home. I couldn’t even enjoy my food because every time I opened my mouth I could taste myself breathing in the stank. I lived in a frat house for 3 years… I can deal with dirty. This place is on a different level. I honestly wanted to leave before we even sat down but I hung in there. Do yourself a favor and go across the road to Somerset Diner. I won’t come back here unless there is a renovation.

The food was good, the place LOOKED really clean, but the smell of urine was overpowering so much that my mom & I had trouble enjoying our breakfast. Will not go back to this location.

The crepes and omelette are really good but they don’t have 50% off Wednesdays with student id anymore! I don’t think I’ll be going there as often now that they’ve gotten rid of the discount.

LOL. Do yourself a favor and cook your own breakfast. Host says 1 minute… make that 45 minutes. As the line to get a table builds and build, and more and more people are LEAVING, we still can’t get a table. It’s pretty clear this was not the host’s fault but rather the manager who was working on a HOLIDAY. Do you even wanna make money buddy? Disgrace.

As far as food goes, not spectacular but on par with other ihops I’ve been to, BUT I went in with a coupon that said I had to dine-in, and the manager(or hostess?) very graciously offered to let me take it to-go(since I was alone). For that, 4 stars. The onion rings were HUGE and crispy-hot even after the 20 minutes I drove in the cold. I could tell the pancake fruit had been previously frozen, and I had to ask the cashier for syrup, but the service was great and the prices are always awesome so I’ll be back.

IHOP is always a quick and convenient pancake fix, which is why I overlook the horrid ambience. The unpleasant service and food at this particular location, has completely turned me off from this chain. Drive a little more to The Turning Point in Manalapan, you won’t be sorry.

I will be frequenting this particular IHOP as I have recently moved to this area :) They give discounts for Rutgers students(15% off and 50% off on Wednesday)! The food is expected from any IHOP store; their crepes are to die for & I love them! I honestly have never tried their pancakes but they look pretty good. As for their dinners, it can be a hit or miss. This IHOP has a special where the t-bone steak is only $ 9.99 and kids can eat free everyday. The losing point came from the service. On certain days, the servers are spectacular & are nice. On others, I barely saw my server & some customers actually walked out after waiting an hour for their food. Shame shame. However, as there are so many discounts, I give this IHOP3 stars for the great value & yummy crepes: D

It’s Ihop. You go here because you know what to expect. Consistent, yummy, and cheap. I’m here usually twice a month and have never had a bad experience. Dpending on what time you get there, the service can be super fast or a little pokey, but when you want pancakes, its worth the wait :)

Ok I know IHOP anywhere is virtually the same as the IHOP in the next town over but this IHOP in particular has very bad customer service. I have heard a horrific story through a friend. She went to IHOP with a friend of hers and they got shafted where the hostess was dumb enough to skip them when calling for names to a table. Not only did the hostess not apologize saying it was her mistake but instead was arguing with my friend. What kind of friggin customer service is that? Did she not know the customer is ALWAYS right? Rule of thumb in the restaurant industry. I think she missed the memo. In the end, my friend walked out on her and IHOP lost valued customers. By the way, they change wait staff every so often that whenever I went there, the entire wait staff is always different. I am not sure why but it can’t be a good thing right? The service is bad and the hostess is horrible. The place has gone downhill in recent years.

Always busy on Sundays here since people go here after church. After 9a, 1030a, 12p masses. I love getting the western skillet. I enjoy getting their pancakes as well with butter pecan syrup. Servers are usually on point. Pretty big Ihop and very clean. The lighting inside could be better though. Can be alot of kids on Sundays but overall nice place to eat.
