The staff wasn’t warm especially when I pointed out that my salad came with walnuts as opposed to the pecans that the menu promised. I was there during happy hour but was charged full price. Anywhere else this a a one star, I’ll give it two because there are very few option in somerset.

We stopped here on 3÷27÷2015 on our way to Philadelphia from Pittsburgh. Our first choice was the Summit diner but it was too busy. When we walked in the first smell was old dirty grease coming from the kitchen. We looked through the bar/dining area and there was a total of 6 people dining and three people at the bar. I said to my wife as it being 6:30pm «Something is wrong». If the food was good it should be crowded. We were seated by a very nice young women who also took our drink order. As we looked over the menu it seemed ok so we decided to stay and give it a try since we didn’t have time to search out another place to eat. Sorry, but the intoxicated patron at the bar should have been removed due to his vulgar language. The food was brought to the table for the three of us some 35 minutes after ordering on electric blue dirty ceramic plates. My $ 10 fish sandwich was about a 6oz portion on a small hoagie roll with I’m not kidding, 6 skinny slices of lettuce., wreaking of old dirty grease! Speaking of lettuce… my daughters side salad was brown iceberg lettuce with one piece of what looked like a piece of purples lettuce disguised as a worm, way to slimy to stomach. Need I say more… No. Won’t be visiting Maggie any time soon. JOHNTAFT from Bar Rescue would be In Heaven with a total redesign of this establishment. John we need you!!!

From a strictly drinking perspective– it was an odd experience. My friends and I were in the area for the night and ventured out from our hotel looking for a bar. This was the only one open at 11:30 pm on a Saturday night. The four of us walked in and were uncomfortably glared at by the customers and the bartenders. There wasn’t a drink list or draft list anywhere. I ordered a grey goose and pineapple which was good. Around 12, the staff began to turn off all of the TVs and about 15 minutes later it was last call. I ordered a pitcher of Alabama slammers for my friends, which were really delicious! The bathrooms were clean but incredibly hot. Which was weird. Overall, an odd experience. But when I return to somerset, I will probably come back for a drink or two.

There is not much in Somerset, so I drove by all the places on the list. This place had a bar feel and was not crowded so I stopped in for a cocktail and a chicken wrap. Service was fast and friendly. They grill their wraps and they are awesome. There is no smoking in here and the crowd is friendly. 12 beers on tap plus bottles. Impressive! No complaints! I will come back again later this week!

There were some vehicles in the parking lot, so we entered… turns out, if you like cold beer and smoking inside, this is the place. If you look for good food, forget it. It was so terrible, I can’t even remember what we ordered. But I told myself, «I’ve got to warn others, in Unilocal.»

Neighborhood Café seems like quite a misnomer… no one under the age of 18 is allowed in. Since I was with my kids, I have nothing further to report.

Just an update to my earlier review when I suggested Beandogs as a great alternate location to visit… …the past three times I have been to Beandogs the kitchen has mysteriously been«closed» — hmmm… and mind you — the times I visited was around 7 – 8PM on each of these occasions… …seems like that place has a taste of «…just let the people drink and eat at McDonalds…» like many other establishments in this small town…

Drink was watered down, I complained about it and the bartender argued with me. The food wasn’t great, and we didn’t get utensils or napkins. The bartender was usually in the back, talking and not taking care of the 3 customers that he had. I yelled hello before he came out to refill our drinks. Finally asked if the food was ok, after we were almost done. Terrible service and a burger I could have gotten from sheetz. The place was so quiet, you could’ve heard a pin drop.

This place honestly deserves a zero. Greasy food, poor service and it smells like cigarettes. Took an hour for our food. Plus, our server was rolling her eyes. Avoid this place! After leaving this place we all felt sick. Gross.

I can’t really speak to the quality of the food, but the place reeked of smoke so badly i could barely breathe and the menu was your typical greasy sandwich fare. Not sure why it’s classifed as ‘mexican’ here on Unilocal

This is a local American food restaurant with a large lounge & dinning area and a well-stocked selection of beers & a full bar. Better than usual menu with appetizers, sandwiches, pizza & calzone. I requested the ½ lb. Black Angus Burger! However this place is not well managed? The hard working girl that greeted me @ the door was also the bartender! Moreover, I did wait a long time for my burger… so I had another beer. Oh well, I had nothing to do except to wait for a forecasted tornado to blow thru town. My sandwich arrived w/my 2nd beer. After a while the place picked up w/people & music and everything went well from there. Burger & fries were very tasty and of good quality. I found this restaurant to be a fun and friendly place, with good food.
