Description

Specialties

We specialize in teaching people to ride bicycles, both kids and adults. Our method makes it easy and not scary. Everyone at their own pace. Everyone leaves happy.

History

Established in 1985.

We started out as a small side line to a little garage bicycle repair business, the Bicycle Barn and Riding School, and we’ve grown gradually, as our fame has increased. Now people come from miles around to learn to ride here.

Susan M.

Business Owner

Susan McLucas is an activist for enviromental and human rights causes. Her number one campaign is trying to be sure that every person in this world knows how to ride a bicycle and does so on a regular basis. Other interests include trying to stop the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, end female genital mutilation and finding the truth out about September 11. She has worked as a bicycle repair person, as a science teacher, as a paper recycler and a children’s musician. To see about her other life in Mali, see www.StopExcision.net. She lives in a co-op house of 6, plays guitar and organizes music parties, and takes her bicycle most places. Her public fruit campaign is not growing, but many of the old sites still provide fruit for the public to enjoy, like the grapes in Davis Sq near the Rite Aid.
