Dennis Foley Plumbing

They did what I think is a fine job on our bath tub, but a month and a half later we had some minor issues with it, and that’s when I found out that their service is simply awful. I called numerous times to see if it’s under warranty or not, and could not get an answer from them within 2 weeks and many phone calls. Ended up spending money and fixing it again.

I had a heating emergency around Christmas 2012. Made a fast decision to put in a new high tech Buderus gas boiler. Original installer messed up the installation. I spoke to the area Buderus tech. rep. and asked who was the best Buderus service company he could recommend. His answer was Dennis Foley Plumbing. I hesitated to call him because of the distance between Somerville and N. Reading. I called and spoke to Robin who does a great job of running the office and dispatching calls.
Long story short… Dennis checked out the installation and made some suggestions. Yesterday Dennis and Walter were out and re-​plumbed a portion of the system. The original installers mistakes would have resulted in problems in the very near future. Money I didn’t plan on spending, but now I’m confident it’s been done right. I just had Tom and Peter install an energy efficient heater. I can’t believe how amazing this furnace is… quiet and dependable. But more importantly is the way I was treated. Both of them couldn’t have been nicer or more professional. I have actually dealt with Tom and Dennis a few times over the years and always liked them. They are honest and fair and I know that when they do a job, it will be done right. I’ve heard horror stories about plumbers that set homes on fire or do really sloppy jobs that are expensive and have to be done over again. You can rest assured that this would never happen with Foley and company. I completely trust these guys. They are not out to gouge you and will give you a product and service that will last a long time. I frankly wouldn’t go to anyone else.

Tom from Dennis Foley Plumbing came over to took a look at my systems to do an estimate on converting my heating from oil to gas. He was the second contractor I spoke with however I immediately noticed his warm friendly smile when he greeted me in the morning at 8 AM.
We went down stairs and looked at my systems and he gave me some invaluable advice on how to do the job right. I didn’t like the answer I heard because the solution would be costly however I knew that the solution he provided was the honest and best solution. The contractor I had worked with the previous day didn’t want to provide the best long term solution and instead wanted to solve the problem quickly but poorly. I respect Tom’s honesty and integrity in telling me the right thing even though he knew it might not be something I wanted to hear.
If you want an honest plumber then I would recommend Dennis Foley’s plumbing. I felt the service call price was justified because the information provided could potentially have saved me thousands of dollar from another individual doing the wrong job quickly. Thank Tom for the good honest communication you provided.
