Fetch

It’s about time I write a review for Fetch! Mel and Michelle have helped us raise our crazy puppy Kuzi for over two years, and she has grown into a more calm and well-​trained dog because of them. They have been extremely patient and steadfast in their care and basic training with Kuzi. If it couldn’t get any better, we are updated with pictures of our baby out on walks with her friends quite frequently. Mel and Michelle have also been extremely accommodating with our crazy schedules. Fetch is definitely one of if not the best around!

I’m not sure if Mel and Michelle are too busy these days but they just weren’t a great fit for us. Communication with me was lacking and honestly a bit patronizing at times and this was only a week into the service. This just isn’t the most flexible or accommodating service available but might work for people who leave for work and get home early and who want their dog to be «trained.» I care a lot about how a service treats my dog, but I also want some attempt at rapport-​building and a little bit of flexibility and understanding goes a long way.

Our rescue dog Boson has been going on walks with Fetch for almost a year now — and he loves it! We love it too — Mel & Michelle are super easy to work with, they are superb with Boson’s pit bull power and puppy energy, and they’re able to work with our crazy schedules for those evenings that we can’t get home on time. Pack walks, dinner walks, daily emails with adorable photos… all fantastic.
But it gets even better. Boson recently stayed at Chateaux Fetch for a week over the holidays. This was our first time leaving him, but we were totally confident that he’d have a great experience by boarding him with M&M and their pup Grace. When we got home, sure, he was happy to see us. But he was also totally chill about the whole experience — staying with Fetch took all the stress out of travel, for all of us!
We can’t imagine a better way to care for our dog, and keep living our busy lives.

Mel and Michelle are amazing! I can’t believe they have only been hanging out with Sarge for a week now — they feel like part of the family.
We adopted a French Bulldog puppy at 10 weeks and let’s just say, though excited, we were not entirely prepared for how much it would entail. Enter Mel and Michelle.
From the first email I could tell how much they loved dogs. They came over for a meet ‘n greet and Sarge was smitten. It helped that they were too — they love frenchies! They also gave us some training tips that really helped us out in these first few weeks.
They come twice a day for puppy walks and he’ll go down to once a week when he’s ready. It makes me feel great to know he has friends during the day while I’m at work. They send me updates each day to tell me how he was and what they did that day. And Michelle doesn’t seem to mind my many emails asking about my little guy :)
Plus, I love seeing Sarge on their Instagram feed while I’m at work. I feel like a proud parent when I see videos of him marching along on his puppy walk. We really couldn’t do it without them!

I’ve been meaning to write a review for Fetch for a while. Mel & Michelle have been a wonderful addition to our family for the past couple years. A very spunky little boy, my little guy Winston constantly has energy and begs for walks and attention. With a 45 minute work commute and long hours, I knew I couldn’t give him all the attention he so desperately needs. Enter Mel & Michelle. Since entering our lives, Winston is sleepy at night instead of waking me up every three hours to play!
Mel & Michelle definitely have a crazy one on their hands and they take it in stride. Winston can absolutely be a handful (a fun handful, though) and they’ve managed to keep him entertained and happy. I am so grateful for their help. Extra plusses include home baked dog treats that look good enough for a human to eat and adorable photos and videos of my little guy all the time. I love my Winstagrams!

Mel and Michelle are awesome. They have been a huge help with our puppy, June. M&M have taken the time to ask us what we are working on in her training (what words, phrases, and commands) as well as areas where our 10 week old is struggling and are working WITH us to help her learn.
They clearly are animal lovers, and just yesterday June and I saw them drive by as we were out for a walk and they took the time to stop and say hello to her. June was so excited to see her friends!
As doggy-​daddies, we really value getting mid-​day messages and notes letting us know how our little girl has been doing through the day. M&M text/​email pictures/​video and status updates from their visits. (as a new daddy, this was super comforting!)
Once June is old enough she will be transitioned from 2x a day Puppy care to a «pack» /​play group where she will get all the play and socialization that she needs!
The real reason we are glad we are using Mel and Michelle at Fetch, is that they really do care and love our pup. They want to help her and help US be better families together. Its great to have them be a part of our dog’s (and our) lives and care! Really, what more could you ask for?

Mel and Michelle are true dog lovers! I am so grateful for their services and attention when caring for animals. They helped me and my dog even though I had no prior experience with them– they helped rescue my dog who got out of the house. I came home to find that my dog had gotten out of the house and wandered out of the yard, and I panicked! After calling a number of places and posting a notice that my dog was missing, I found that she was in the warm and nurturing care of Mel and Michelle. They saw her roaming the street, took her in, bathed her, fed her, and brought her along for walks the next day. Once we got in contact, they sent me pictures of her and arranged a time to bring her to me. I couldn’t have asked for better people to look after my dog. If you are looking for someone who genuinely loves animals and will treat them with the same love and affection you give them, contact Mel and Michelle!

We are so lucky Mel and Michelle are near us. When we got our pup, we knew we’d need a little help exercising him and keeping him socialized with other dogs, and chose Fetch based on their Unilocal reviews, cute website, and quick and clear responses to our initial inquiries. But now they aren’t just dog walkers to us; they’re a big part of our puppy’s upbringing.
They have helped us be better dog owners and helped our pup Hudson understand us better too. They give every dog individual attention on their level. When we took our first trip away from the city that couldn’t include Hudson, I knew he’d be safe and well cared for being boarded with Fetch — more like a little vacation for him! What puts them over the top is that they take a real interest in his development. They have a natural way of making both dogs and humans comfortable :) I can’t recommend them enough!

Mel & Michelle have been the best dog walkers/​caregivers/​friends my dog Penny could ask for! I travel a lot and Mel and Michelle also dog sit from time to time which is great for Penny and for us because we know that she will be treated like she is part of the family there instead of being at a kennel:) I love that I get daily updates and pictures on how my little pup is doing as well. I really couldn’t ask for anything better!

Mel and Michelle are simply the best. They are someone you can trust with your pup and they will shower them with love, home made treats and some great exercise. We were wary of having a «stranger» look out for our dog Hunter at first. Hunter is a beagle with some anxiety problems and can be a handful at times (He will literally eat everything in sight if given the chance). Mel and Michelle were up for the challenge. With love and patience, Mel earned Hunter’s trust in a matter of weeks and now he can not wait to see her! (He actually squeaks with joy when she comes over … it’s weird I know). His general behavior has even improved since Mel began to walk him.
We love the photo updates we get of Hunter during his walks. It always gives us some reassurance. We are glad to be supporting a local business and that we were lucky enough to find Mel and Michelle! Hire this amazing duo if you want to come home to a happy tired pup at the end of the day! You will not regret it.

I LOVE Mel and Michelle!!! They have been my lifesavers and personal dog experts for a while now. They take my dog, Lula, 3 days/​week for a play group and my wild dog couldn’t be happier.
They just get my dog. and me. The poor girl had 6 homes before I adopted her. and all of this before she was 6 months! She is a spunky and outgoing black lab/​maybe pit bull mix and they truly understand her. Mel is my primary contact and she is amazing about keeping me informed, letting me know when something is just a teensy weensy bit off, and sometimes they even make homemade dog treats! They take Lula out, clean her up and fill her bowl, and leave her with a yummy treat each day. She is a happy and balanced dog.
More importantly, Mel can manage my anxiety. Lula can be a runner and can seem aggressive when scared. I’m nervous when I’m not with her. Mel has absolutely showed me up and demonstrated that she is a knowledgeable professional who knows what she’s doing way more than I do. Mostly, I love that when she shares things with me about my dog’s quirky behaviors or needs I don’t feel like she is talking down to me or making me feel stupid. I feel like we’re a team. She is punctual and reliable. She sends me pictures or videos almost daily. Her videos are super cute too. It’s usually her talking to the dogs, or the dogs wrestling. I can see that Lula is having a great time!
A friend took my dog to the Hingham dog park where she loves to swim and run off leash. My friend is truly a good friend because in the past this has been a major production for Lula. She will run for hours (no joke!) and does not want to come home. Trying to catch or bribe her back onto her leash is frustrating and exhausting. However, we have had a major development! My friend went to the park over teh weekend and said Lula was the most well-​behaved dog at the park. She came when called, even if she was out swimming, never ran too far, and when it was time to leave she sat down and waiting for her leash to be put on. Holy smokes! I have done no training with my dog around this and can only attribute her dramatically improved behavior to the work the Mel is doing with her. I feel a little guitly that I’m only paying for play groups when Lula is also getting regular obedience training.
I’m moving pretty far out of town and will have to say goodbye to Mel and Michelle. The dog who takes Lula’s space in the group is so lucky. I actually cried todaythinking about not having Mel to rely on. She is one of a kind.
