This is only getting one star, but if I could give zero stars it would be zero.
I was insured for both my auto and home with Gemeni.
My mail is bad where I live – very irrregular and at times my nieghbor will hold onto my mail for weeks.
So I missed my auto insurance bill – rather than call me and let me know they were going to cancel my poliy for non-​payment, they just cancelled it. When I tried to have it re-​instated they said no because I had made two claims on my home owner’s insurnce (acts of nature – ice damns on the side of my home and a fallen tree), so even though the woman I spoke to on the phone was nice and all, I think a phone call before a policy cancellation might be a goodnew company protocol.

I was in and out in 15 minutes tops. Progressive was going to raise my rates by about 200%, so I went in, gave the agent my driver’s license for the number, and my license plate number — within a few minutes I got a quote that was cheaper then my original progressive quote, and i didn’t need to pay anything on the spot — it would all come in the mail.
There were no nonsense salesman attitudes — she just told me what i needed to know.

When in the process of purchasing my first car, a few years ago (like 4 – 5), I was forwarded to this insurance agency by the dealership so I could get a good deal on my car insurance.
I arrived there and all of the paperwork was ready for me to sign. Everything was clearly written and explained and the entire process was very quick because of that; and that’s a good thing because like most people, I hate doing administrative work of any kind.
More recently, after moving to Somerville, I decided to see if I could switch car insurances and save a boatload of money. I called Gemini and they took care of everything over the phone and by mail. They swapped my insurance company and found me a cheaper deal since the state of Massachusetts opened up the prices for competition. It was again a flawless process.
They are conveniently located in Davis Square, right next to JP Licks, are easy to reach and professional. Just keep in mind that they aren’t an insurance company, but are an insurance broker.

When I moved to the area, I was desperate to find a local insurance agent simply because the service such companies provide is so much better than trying to find affordable insurance options on my own. On a friend’s recommendation, I visited Gemini and was greeted by the ever-​helpful Cathy.
Because I was moving from out-​of-​state, and being that Massachusetts has some unusual practices related to registering and insuring a vehicle here, I am extremely grateful for the service Cathy provided. After gathering basic biographical information, she contacted an insurance company to discuss the special circumstances that may relate to my situation. Before leaving, I knew precisely what documentation the insurance company needed, as well as what the state required, avoiding numerous trips to Gemini’s office or to the Registry.
As an added bonus, Gemini employs someone who makes regular trips to the Registry on behalf of their customers. Being able to pick up my license plates at Gemini’s office, rather than wasting hours at the RMV, demonstrates the company’s emphasis on customer service and has earned them a customer for as long as I live in the state.

If you want friendly customer service do not go here. They don’t go out of their way and come off as rude. You can’t get a straight answer when calling and is not helpful.
Someone should the receptionist a happy pill or give her career advise.

I’ve been very happy with auto insurance from Gemini Insurance. Since auto insurance is regulated in MA, what differentiates the insurance agencies is service. And Gemini does really well here. For instance, if you buy insurance from them, their runner will go to the registry on your behalf to do title, registration and plates if you need that. That saved me 3 – 4 hours and was a huge value add.
