Eating food should be pleasurable and life-giving, but often things go awry and we find ourselves eating in a way that does not sustain us or make us feel our best.
I am Heidi Schauster, MS, RD, LDN, a nutrition therapist with over 15 years of experience as a registered dietitian and disordered eating specialist. I strive to inspire my clients, readers, students, and workshop participants to build a better relationship with food and their bodies.
Are you confused by the conflicting messages about what to eat?
Do you find yourself eating mindlessly, emotionally, or going back and forth between being «good» and «bad» about eating?
Are you ready to find some balance in your relationship with food, discover your own unique eating style, and feel better in your body, mind, and spirit because of it?
You really can find peace with food, eat in a way that is health-giving and sustainable, and maintain your own healthy body weight without depriving yourself. You will feel clearer about your dreams, goals, and purpose on this planet when you spend less time worrying about your body and food. It is my passion to help my clients and readers find the way to eat that best suits their individual bodies and lifestyles. Balanced eating should help you feel your best and not take too much effort, so that you can spend your time living the life you want to live…

I am a nutrition therapist and registered dietitian with over 16 years of experience in the field of eating disorders and emotional eating issues. I am a counselor, writer, consultant, and clinical supervisor, based in the Greater Boston area.
In my work, I feel called to assist my clients and readers in improving their relationships with food and their bodies. There is so much conflicting information about nutrition. I work with my clients to sort through it all and to use their own inner wisdom to develop a style of eating that works for their unique body and lifestyle. My training includes nutrition science, psychology, mindfulness-based training, and elements of yoga therapeutics and dance. I hold a holistic view of nutrition, the body, and my clients.
