While I waited for my tire to be repaired nearby, I came here for a quick bite to eat. I got a breakfast sandwich on a croissant. Hooray for real eggs! There were a handful of tables outside, so I ate there. Also, I sampled some muffins while I waited for my food and they were pretty yummy.

Nice muffin shop! The coffee cake muffin was light and moist. We bought a half dozen and sampled everything. Worth the wait in line.

The coffee is weak and acrid. Customer service is hit or miss(I’ve had great and horrible both… If you see the tall blonde woman at the counter turn around and leave, everyone else would be just fine!) I’m not a bagel geek but I’ll tell you they’re not extra special. The meat and sausage and overall send which is pretty good. saving the best for last– the double chocolate muffin is killer! As in really really really good. Four stars just for that

This place is great! They accept call-ahead orders and serve real eggs(not frozen!). Staff is generally friendly and sweet, though it can be a bit tough on newbies who don’t know the process. Definitely worth a visit!

This review is mostly for the disappointing customer service we received… After having been to the Medford location countless times we accidentally ended up at this location(both locations are equidistant from us but we somehow never tried this one). Since we were familiar with the other location’s menu, we asked if some of our favorite flavors of muffin were available(there were NOLABELS, so it wasn’t obvious what flavors were available) which really seemed to annoy the cashier. We also were met with annoyance when we asked any other questions or didn’t know exactly what we wanted to order. There was no one behind us in line so I do not understand why we were so rushed. I felt very stressed out by the whole experience and even though it is the same distance for me, I will not be coming back and will stick with the Medford location. Not a good first impression for a long time customer…(The food and coffee, by the way were excellent).

Food good. Call in your order and skip the line. I’ve never experienced the rude customer service mentioned in the low-star reviews, so maybe they’ve upped their game. I found the muffins less than magnificent, but the breakfast sandwiches put Dunks to shame.

These are the best bagels in Boston(makes sense because they get them shipped in from New York). Great prices, but cash only. No frills, solid food. «The muffin, bagel, coffee and breakfast sandwich restaurant has become a morning destination of Teele Square residents since. On weekend mornings the small restaurant often has lines out the door with customers waiting to order their breakfast.»

First time going to this place for a cup of coffee & I can honestly say it will be my last. I’ve never been so disappointed with the lack of customer service the staff had and for no particular reason. In fact, it was actually one specific employee(blonde & Blue eyed) so I suggest to avoid her as much as possible. I know how to typically talk to any customer for the reason being that I myself work at Corner Bakery Café & if I would’ve pulled a stunt like that at my job, I would have gotten fired. I’m a very nice person when I go anywhere to order food & I did not appreciate to be talked to with such little respect. Not only was her attitude completely appalling, so was there coffee — very bland & on the watery side. I don’t recommend anyone going there and dealing with such disgusting behavior!

I absolutely love this place. What isn’t there to love? The service is great, the people who work there are very personable and out going. The muffins are as advertised, magnificent. I don’t know if I’ve really had a better muffin, a big fan specifically of the apple cinnamon muffins that have small apple chunks in them. The breakfast sandwiches are great, along with their bagels for them to go one. Everything priced well and be sure to bring your cash! I highly suggest if you are in the area looking for something quick to stop on by

Hands down my favorite place for a breakfast sandwich. Delicious bagels, meats and eggs cooked to order and tons of cheese. This place is the absolute best. You’ll be lucky to ever go there and not see a line. Furthermore, the coffee is legit, I’m a particularly big fan of the Cinnamon Sticky Bun flavor. Lastly, the muffins are not to be overlooked as they’re baked fresh daily and are never dry. If you like anything I just mentioned and are in the Boston area, you have to go.

Go to breakfast spot. The people there are so nice and friendly and always serve with a smile. I’m a huge fan of their croissant sandwich.

Their food is awesome but the experience of ordering is extremely stressful. All I can say is that you better know what you want before you arrive because if you so much as stutter or don’t speak at the rate that they want they will yell at you and take your head off. On a positive note, now the people who yell at you are young college students instead of old curmudgeonly women. If you can withstand the emotional and verbal abuse, it’s worth a trip.

UGH I LOVEEEMAGMUFFINS Ok if your being a food snob then don’t bother reading this review! I love mag muffins for so many reasons: I love their staff and how they can be snippy and bratty one hot minute but also totally genuine, caring, and personable ! They really just want to serve you quickly but hey, if your overly sensitive it can come off as harsh, but screww you ! Hah ugh I love them. one time I stopped in there quickly on my way up Broadway to work on a work week morning before 830am and the(older) lady behind the counter greeted an even older lady who walked in the door and placed an order… Within 60 seconds the mag muffins employee blatantly asked the customer(/friend?!) who did her hair last and what happened — very obviously implying that she knew who usually did the woman’s hair and that it looked a bad shade of purple instead of blonde !!! I loved their banter and their friendship, it was hilarious and genuine At magnificent muffins I always get a bacon egg and cheese on an English muffin with a sour cream muffin to split with my boyfriend as well as a coffee, duh. Ugh I love them. Oh! & it is Cash Only !

Friendly staff, delicious bagel sandwiches, and(like the name of the store would indicate) great muffins. I live nearby, and Magnificent Muffin is one of favorite places for breakfast on the go. If the positive reviews on here aren’t proof enough of how great MagMuff is, then let the line that goes down the block on the weekends be a better testament. If you don’t want to wait the 15 – 20 minutes in line for a bagel, calling ahead with your order is an excellent option. It helps keep the line reasonable for everyone else, and you get your bagel immediately when you get there. Just don’t forget that it is cash only — although there is a Bank of America ATM right next door if you need. My only complaints would be that there is very limited seating — and that which does exist is crammed in tight. You definitely cannot plan to sit down and eat here. Also, their drinks aren’t great. The iced coffee tastes watered down, and their chai taste like sugar water. That being said, seating/drinks aren’t MagMuff’s main attractions anyway. If you’re looking for top notch breakfast foods while on the go, then this is the place for you. For anything else, you might have to look elsewhere.

From my apartment in Teele Square, I can see the lines at MagMu stretch around the block, especially in nicer weather. If you have the self-discipline to rise early or smart enough to call you order ahead, you won’t have to stand in that terrible line or wait in the tiny space inside. I usually get the everything bagel with sausage/egg/cheese. When I’m eating it, it’s the most delicious thing in the world. The bagel is soft but chewy in the right way and the warm fat/salt combo of the rest puts me in a food delirium. I always feel gross after eating one though. Much like eating Five Guys, I only eat it a few times a year, usually after enough time has passed that I forget how it made me feel the last time. I don’t recommend the coffee, but also don’t walk in with a Starbucks cup, they don’t take kindly to it. Walk in with a smile and you’ll get pleasant and quick service back. If nothing else, you MUST try their muffins. They truly are Magnificent. Huge tops(who likes the stumps, anyway, amiright), and lots of different flavors. I love the lemon poppyseed and the red velvet.

I love the local mom and pop feel of this bustling breakfast shop. Their breakfast sandwiches are really good, but honestly I think it’s hard to mess up a fried egg and meat on a bagel. Their muffins though are what keep me coming. They’re HUGE, always spilling way out of the muffin tin so that you get a lot of crusty muffin top which is the best part. Pistachio muffins are my fave but their blueberry and chocolate chip and corn muffins are also delicious, moist, and flavorful. Yummm. Oh be warned they only take cash! One time, I forgot to bring cash and only had my credit card. I offered to run home and come back with $$ but the woman just gave me my muffins and told me to pay her back next time I came. She was super chill and nice about it. I would give it five stars if they were open later. Their hours are so early that I rarely wake up and get out early enough.

This joint is a neighborhood staple. Four stars instead of five just because of the times I’ve had to wait in that miserable line. Tip: if you don’t like standing in Disney World lines to get a slapped together mess of a breakfast sandwich, go before 9:30. If you do get there early, the quality of the service and final product is way better! I love bacon, eggs, and cheddar on a French toast bagel — it’s like having a full breakfast on the go, and at a great price. If you’re picking something up to bring home, GOWITHTHEMUFFINS. This place is like the DSW equivalent of muffin shops. They have every flavor you could ever want! My personal favorites are apple cinnamon, lemon poppyseed, and pistachio. There’s usually a plate on the counter with some broken up muffins to sample, and the staff is friendliest when you ask them for their muffin suggestions.

Went in at around 9:30 on a Saturday morning and there was no line. Placed my order and stepped to the right to wait. Everything bagels were coming out of the oven so I was waiting a little bit but nothing crazy. Sat down across from a guy who was obviously a regular; one of the guys working in the back brought out his usual, a BLT with egg. I looked over and couldn’t help but comment that it was an impressive looking sandwich to which he replied«it’s a little pig, a little rabbit food, a little egg. What more could you want?» I got my order, took it home, and understood exactly what he was talking about. Really good.

Starchy, bitter bagels toasted and sandwiched with all the grace of a school lunch line. At ~$ 3 for meat, egg, cheese on a your choice of bagel, I’m not expecting haute cuisine. Expectations: met. The bagel, a namesake product preceded by the lofty Magnificent, is so incredibly dry, tough as leather in the untoasted parts and almost acrid with way too much baking soda. They take cash, they don’t take any shit(rumors of this being the Land That Smile Forgot run true) and they give cafeteria grade fodder. Can’t say I won’t go back, just like I can’t say I’d never eat a 7 – 11 Big Bite hot dog again, but you better believe I’ll feel just as cruddy afterwards.
