I have 3 years going to salon milage I drive from roxbury all away to somerville just to have my hair done with alex.
before I knew about salon milage, I got a keratin treatment in another hair salon and she burn the left side of my hair, since then I was scared to do it again.
Now the only professional I trust to get my keratin treatment is with alex! My hair texture is African American most people don’t know how to manage it, she does. that’s why I’m satisfied with her services.

Another great, lasting haircut! I have short hair, and after about three months since my last visit, it still looked styled and neat. Received friendly service and helpful tips and suggestions. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a fantastic cut.

My coworker was mortified when she saw my split ends one day. She grabbed my phone and texted Alex immediately to make an appointment for a trim. My hair is long and very thick so I’ve always been afraid to go to new hairdressers, but Alex is amazing! My hair has never looked better. I come to her every 2 weeks for a wash and set bc I can’t make my hair look as good as she makes it look. I will never let anyone else touch my hair ever again! She’s the best !!!

I recently moved to Cambridge for graduate school and was feeling apprehensive about where to go to get a Keratin treatment, which tend to be pricey and of very varied quality. After poking around Unilocal,I discovered Salon Milage conveniently located near Union Square and offering a promotion for Brazilian Blowouts! Alex is the best. She offered an amazing service that lasted as long as she said it would, and was extremely friendly and informative. Her blow out skills are also unparalleled — and I am a very discerning customer having been addicted to hair straightening and smoothing services for the past 15 years! I really enjoy and look forward to these lengthy treatments as the salon is cozy and comfortable and Alex is so talented and a great person to chat with! Highly recommended!

AMAAAAAAAAZING hair stylist. Once you meet this woman, you get blown away by her care, creativity and honesty. She will understand what works for YOUR face, YOUR color, cut and style. This woman will take her time for you and will never leave you unhappy. I was upset about a bad salon experience but she fixed up all the mess and made my hair gorgeous. Don’t waste your time going to Newbury or any fancy Boston salon, this little gem hiding in somerville has something for everyone!

I went to Salon Milage for a Brazilian Blowout to take advantage of the special. a BB for $ 189? That’s an amazing price! Maria (Zunilda) took my dry curly hair and transformed it into a masterpiece! After the blowout I was receiving so many compliments on my hair because it’s never looked that amazing! I went about a week after the BB for a wash and set and cut and Zunilda did an amazing job once again! My hair looked better my second visit to Salon Milage. thank you so much! I can’t stop talking to my family members, friends and co workers about the amazing work that is done at this salon and you just gained a customer for life!

Thanks to Unilocal that i found this place for trimming my hairs. Unfortunately I could not get Alex to do my service but Maria did it. It took almost like half hour more than one to complete it but no negatives. I am in love with my new hair cut. Slightly on a expensive side with 50 $ is what i felt. Otherwise a good place for hair cut. :-)

I took a chance on this place since it was close to home and had good Unilocal reviews. I was not disappointed! For $ 40 I got a fantastic haircut for me AND my 3-​year old daughter. Alex and Maria were wonderful. Alex gave me honest advice about my haircut and hair product. After having been to some of the most expensive salons in Cambridge and Somerville and still having Medusa hair I am so happy to have found Salon Milage. I will be returning many more times for styling and color as well.

I went in for a Brazilian Blowout that I got from Groupon. Alex was amazing and so helpful. Sometimes I feel like vendors don’t treat a customer as well if they come in with a Groupon, but that was not the case at Milage. I felt like Alex cared how my hair came out and was honest about the process and the potential end result.
I would definitely come back here for a hair process.

I continue to visit Alex at Salon Milage and my hair is better than ever! I’d be lost without her!!! All her recommendations on what to do, how to do and what to use in my hair have paid off. Just got a Brazilian Blow-​out… Wow! Totally worth the money! BUT you have to buy the shampoo and conditioner too… I know it’s not cheap but, your hair is worth it!

Alex is fantastic! My haircut stayed good for a month. That means she not only can style your hair on the day when you visit Salon Milage, but also she knows how it’s going to grow and makes the style future-​proof.
She also could accommodate my interview emergency on a very short notice. I am very grateful for that too.

I had an excellent experience here with Alex, the owner. I had a groupon for a partial highlight, and when I arrived, Alex told me the stylist who takes groupons was out sick, but that she was happy to take me and honor the groupon. She was friendly and welcoming, and apologized for making me wait only a few minutes.
Alex took her time and explained the process for highlighting, and encouraged me to ask questions if I had them. She recommended a color, and she was right, it was perfect for my base color, and came out really pretty. Despite being busy and the fact I was a groupon customer, she took the time to blowdry my hair to show me the color, and to make sure I liked it. She also gave me tips on growing out my hair, which I’m trying to do.
I’d recommend visiting Alex if you’re looking for someone to take time and do a great job. It’s a cute little salon, and yields great results.

I came to this salon as a recommendation from my friend and I have not regretted the decision yet!
First, I have very thick and curly hair, that oftentimes might be a hairdressers nightmare. So much so that I’ve often permed it to make it easier for me.
Alexandra (the owner) is so knowledgable about how to treat it both at the salon and type at home (for busy people like me).
One of the things that makes me appreciate her even more is her ability to tell you exactly what you and your hair needs. She really ensures that your hair is healthy and makes sure that it stays that way. She is honest in the way she does business and that’s something I appreciate.

So last weekend I came for a Brazilian Blowout here. I had a groupon with me. I did a lot of research on salons, keratin treatments, whether to go for keratin treatment or a blowout. Because I really wanted to have a good job done on my hair.
I met Alexandra and she have me a knowledged suggestion of going with the blowout, after looking at my hair. The whole process took about 2 hours (since i have lot of thick hair). After the treatment my hair looked fabulous. and its just not that. I know your hair looks great after coming out of a salon anyway. So i recently washed my hair and decided to write the review. Trust me the hair loks just as promised. Ofcourse its not poker straight or salon blow dried because this is not what the treatment is supposed to do. But its verryyy soft and manageable and smooth. I simply love it! thanks alex! She says it should stay for more than 12 weeks. Lets see. I would love that if its true.

As a certified BIG TIME scaredy cat when it comes to hair cuts, I am super appreciative of review websites that help me make a decision when new to an area, so here I am. It had been well over a year since my last cut, and after a horrible slashing of my hairs 3 years ago, I can sheepishly admit that cut a year ago was one of only two since the bad cut. Might explain my lifeless hair! While my ‘do was the longest it had ever been in my life, and something I’d always wanted… as a kid my hair was kept super short because apparently insanely thick hair and a child who can’t sit still for brushing makes for a Mom who won’t allow length, I began to realize that I needed at least to get rid of some dead ends and thin out the unruly mess, or at most just go for it and have a chop.
Enter the awesome Alex and her wee little salon. She was incredibly patient with me, had great suggestions, and truly made me feel confident that I made the right random choice of salons. I ended up getting at least 7 inches off the front and closer to nine in the back. I left with an adorable graduated bob that I friggin LOVE. Her prices are more than reasonable, and you can be totally confident that you’re in excellent hands.

I was looking for a very affordable salon to give me a partial platinum highlight. I had a full copper highlight in the week before, and wanted platinum color for dimension.
I booked with Alex for Monday, and she was prepared to do my hair-​already had the foils ready! But when she learned I wanted the icy blonde, she informed me she did not have that color and asked me to return on Wednesday. She said, «I know exactly what you need.» From this point on, I completely trusted her, and stuck with the Wednesday appointment.
On Wednesday, when she learned I recently had it colored, she did not want to bleach my hair because it would be damaging. She insisted on a beige blonde, and would use toner to blend it all together.
My hair turned out beautifully. Alex was thorough in explaining the process for color choice, and even pointed out the light blonde highlights when it was done, because she knew that is what I wanted. I was impressed how much the color she chose complemented my skin tone and shined.
She even gave me a garlic deep conditioning treatment, and a percentage off my services since the groupon expired. AND a $ 10 off coupon for next visit. She is the most affordable AND skilled stylist I’ve met so far.
I highly recommend Alex based on her knowledge, expertise, and real concern for her clients. And, if price is a concern, look no further. She gives you a real bang for your buck.

I love this hair salon! Alexandra does an awesome job, she is an expert coloring, blowdrying, Hair cut! I’m always happy when I leave the place!!! No to mention that I love how she does my eye brows!!! I give a 10 star if I could!!! Great customer services

For a men’s haircut they are basically the same price as Supercuts but they are honest, friendly, and actually care about customer satisfaction instead of following the corporate model of getting you in and out as quickly as possible. They are not some cutting-​edge or frou-​frou boutique, nor do they pretend to be.
Alex the main stylist is very pleasant and down to earth, with none of the stuck up attitude that one might expect from such a drop-​dead gorgeous woman (sorry guys, she’s happily married) especially in this business.
Have been there twice and will keep coming back.

Friendly faces. Speedy services. Quality work. Getting my hair trimmed at Salon Milage is truly a positive experience every time! Not only is it reasonably priced, but like I said, the staff is so wonderful. Willing to give advice and really make sure they know what I want in a haircut. Even though I live in Brighton, I make the trek every time I need a trim/​cut/​styling.
