STAY AWAY! If I could give this place zero stars I would. Just an FYI, the previous reviews are accurate however this place is under new ownership and the new ownership is horrible and a bunch of scam artists looking to take your money. Do not, I repeat do not go to get your car inspected here, they will find something wrong and then try to over charge you to fix it. Avoid at all costs and take chances here at your own peril or if you like to throw away money.

Like the others say — these guys are great, knowledgeable and HONEST mechanics.
I took my first car there and they looked at the problem and told me since it was electrical that I’d have to take it to the dealer. But here’s what was great — he explained the issue in detail afterwards and the process for fixing it. This gave me great detail and negotiating room with the dealer.
I’ve also taken our second car to these guys. Once again — fast and honest.
They also have a good sense of humor over there which is a nice kicker.

I had a very terrible experience here. I stopped briefly because I just moved to the area and needed to check the gps on my phone to make sure it was set on the correct route. A short, thin, guy (light brown completion) leaned over to my window and asked if I needed gas. I said no. He then tapped the hood of my car and said «If no gas, move! This is my gas!» I pulled my car from in front of the pump to a place where there was no pump. He then tapped my hood again, and said «Get out!» I rolled my window down and asked him not to touch my car. He then get’s another guy with a cloth patch over his eye to holler at my window then he comes back and growls at my window as if he were an animal. No, I’m not making this up! I don’t think these were mechanics, they seemed to just run the gas station part. Highly unprofessional, and I’m seriously thinking of calling the police to report the incident.

Needed to get the car inspected. Found really good reviews on here and decided to give this place a try. I would absolutely recommend this place. They are legit and mean business. They took maybe 10 – 15 minutes to inspect and slap a sticker on.

Just moved back to Cambridge from the Midwest and needed to get my car inspected. I had the *exact* same experience as Ashley S. I forgot my registration papers and came back with them a few minutes later. The mechanics were overall friendly and nice (one has a more gruff demeanor, but he’s still a nice guy). They even helped cut off my old license plate and install the new one since the old one’s bolts had rusted completely over and were stripped.
Overall they were fast, friendly, efficient, and took credit cards. The shop was clean and simple. I have not had any repairs done on my car here, but I would definitely be willing to give them a shot. I wouldn’t hesitate to bring my car back for the required Massachusetts state car inspection. It’s also not that far from Lechmere station, so if you needed to leave your car for the day, the T is close by.

After recently moving here, I needed to get my car state inspected. I forgot my registration so they sent me home. When I returned a few minutes later, the man apologized and said it was nothing personal. He talked to me while he ran the inspection and was very nice. I got my inspection taken care of and was out of there in about 15 minutes. Loved how easy and welcoming they made it!

Love this place. They are honest, dependable. polite and timely. Fairly priced and very honest. I’ve had them tell me that work is not needed that other places had recommended — this has saved me money, time and frustration. Highly recommend them!

I consider myself lucky to have found a place I can bring my shit box car.
Not only is this place within walking distance from me, they have never screwed me over. They always tell me what is up FIRST and tell me if I have to get the repair right than and there. They show the old parts they removed and they even present cheaper alternatives because, let’s face it… I have a Camry I am going to drive into the ground… not a new lexus. The repairs have always been reasonable and not more than the car is worth. Most of them time, my jaw is dropped because it is $ 30 instead of $ 300…
Plus their gas is cheap!
I have dealt with both Mike and Zohrab (sp.?)
Honest to goodness nice and honest guys that don’t see an «opportunity» as soon as a girl walk in the shop.
