This place was good, not great. I had made an appointment for a Saturday afternoon for a gel manicure. I waited a few minutes and was brought over to a nail station, but the lady who was doing my nails hopped back and forth between me and another girl sitting next to me. It was a little weird, although the other girl waited longer than I did. She mainly focused on me(maybe because I had an appointment, who knows), but it was still a little odd. Also, it was absolutely freezing in there. The heat seemed to be broken. The woman working assured me it was set to 85 degrees, but everyone had their winter jackets on. Clearly not 85 degrees. My manicure came out pretty good, not great, and one nail just chipped today after less than a week. I’ll be looking for other salons in the area next time to compare.

This place is a hidden gem, I always make an appointment just so I don’t have to wait but I haven’t had a bad service yet! Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area, free 2 hours parking on Medford Street beware the bus stop in front and directly across the street. Pricing is great and services are excellent.

This is a wonderful nail salon. The professionals are excellent and really nice, too! The salon is welcoming and very well maintained, there are lots of options, and it’s nice to see neighbors and new folks, too!

Just got my very first gel manicure at T V Nails. The woman working, who I assume was the owner as she was the only one in today, was super friendly and sweet. They’ve got at least 50 different gel colors so I had plenty to choose from. I ended up picking a neon pink. She did several coats of color as it was a light color but it ended up looking really nice. She was very quick yet careful, if that makes sense. Just good at what she does, I suppose! The color looks great and I’m excited to see how long it lasts. The salon itself is not in the most ideal location, but the inside is really neat. Check out the cool ceilings! It’s very clean, smells lovely, and there are plenty of chairs if you want to bring a friend along. My gel mani was $ 25 and they accept credit cards and cash.

Such a great nail place! It was Columbus Day and I called a few different nail salons to see if they could take me once I was out of work… Most were either closing early or closed completely, but when I called T V nails, they said that they were open until 6PM! Seriously such great service and the price was great, but honestly what really gives them a 5 star rating is that after getting stuck in traffic, I didn’t get there until 5:40PM, only 20 minutes from closing I was expecting them to turn me away(which I totally would have understood as there was one woman working and she had two clients finishing up pedicures) but she welcomed me and asked me to sit down and I only had to wait five minutes before she started helping me and apologized for the wait(it was only five minutes! must faster than other salon waits!) and she didn’t rush even though it was a bit past six! T V Nails and Spa is such a hidden gem in Somerville! I completely recommend it!

I love this place I can walk there from my house it’s right around the corner they do a great natural nail manicure that lasts me a good week I’ve also had a gel manicure there that lasts a long time as well. This is the only place I go for brow wax also. I could go to a spa and spend $ 25 Or I could go here and spend $ 10 and be just as happy. Staff is always super nice and quick to get you in and out. They do a great job so don’t under tip just because they’re inexpensive show that you appreciate it! Ive been going to this nail salon for about five years I’ve tried others and I always go back here!

Sarah is the best. I have been following Sarah through a couple nail salons since I was in high school so I was happy to see her smiling face at TV Nails and Spa when I moved back to Somerville. The ladies that work here are wonderful. They have amazing memories for returning customers families/jobs/lives, which make you feel like part of the family. They have great prices and offer an incentive program. Each time you get a manicure or pedicure they give you a stamp on a card. Once you fill the 12 items on the card, you get a free manicure. The pedicure chairs are clean and offer a massage aspect which I never turn down. They even offer additional foot massage for $ 1 per minute. One day I may spend $ 60 in there on that alone. It is worth it folks especially as a runner. You can call ahead and make an appointment if you need to. The only draw back is a lack of parking lot. As a Somerville resident, this doesn’t really impact me, but I know others might need the reminder. The ladies also take cash, check and charge!

On a whim one weekend, the ladies and I decided to get mani-pedis in the area. We walked in to a bunch of salons in Ball Square but everyone said they were fully booked. We looked up TV online, and they took us in. I actually had passed by the building many times but didn’t really think of it as a salon. They are situated in an unassuming brown slatted building with a bland 80’s style sign. The windows are darkly tinted and I never bothered to look in before. I seriously thought they rented movies or something. The building sits at a none-too-busy intersection next to an elementary school in a sleepy residential area of Winter Hill. It seems like a terrible location, but hey, Highland Kitchen makes it work. Something tells me they aren’t quite as popular as Highland, but they’ve been in business since I’ve moved to Somerville so they must be doing something right. The place was completely empty when we went in. The three Vietnamese women who worked there very polite and professional. They waited patiently as we took a long time picking out colors. They diligently pampered our grungy athletes’ tarsals. I can’t say I so this often, so I’m not sure how they compare with other nearby establishments, but I found the experience to be comfortable, down to earth and satisfactory.
