I can’t say enough great things about Colleen. She’s kind, professional, caring, and responsible. We used her to groom our dog for 3 years – even trusting her so much that we gave her the passcode to our house to groom Jersey whenever we needed. We lost Jersey a couple weeks ago, and Colleen was so generous that she made a donation in her memory to Angel. We can’t imagine using anyone else!

Colleen is amazing! She comes right to our door and brings our doggies back looking AMAZING! We are so lucky to have found her.

We have had Colleen come several times to groom our dog. She is very busy so you may have to wait to make an appointment and the times she gives are only during the working day (we’ve never had her come on a weekend so I’m not sure if she does weekend, somehow I doubt it) and so that can be very inconvenient. We have a short haired dog who typically just needs a wash, brush, and nail trim. It’s kind of pricey given the fact that he’s not really getting a cut.
She is very friendly, but always seems to be in a rush. Her services are so good that she seems to be stretched really thin.

Ill never use another grooming service again! Colleen is so nice, and the haircuts are exceptional. The convenience of ride and groom is something you can’t appreciate until you try it.
Colleen doesn’t cage your dog, and takes the time get to know your dog before taking her off for the cut. The little personal touches she adds are wonderful as well.

Colleen is wonderful! I had been taking my dog to another groomer in Somerville for a while and every time I dropped him off was heart wrenching because Casper (my now 3.5 yr old shitzu mix) was terrified, some dogs just don’t like to be groomed and Casper is one of them. However Colleen has really changed that for us, Casper has a much easier time and clearly really likes Colleen despite the fact that he is being groomed by her. His first appointment was just a bath to get him used to her then we moved up to grooming and he has continued to do really well. It’s actually funny to see his reaction whenever she comes to the house, he gets excited then submissive then gives her many kisses while tossing in a slight growl/​gurgle at her knowing what he is in for. I really think having Colleen come to the house and give Casper one on one attention without the added anxiety of other dogs and noises has been really helpful, not to mention the extra care and consideration she has for his individual needs. I highly recommend Ride & Groom to everyone however for those of you with anxious, or special needs dogs there is no better choice!

I have been watching my family dog, Jazz, for the past few weeks while my parents are traveling. She’s a wheaten with a long coat, so once it started getting warm, I worried that she was starting to get really uncomfortable. I emailed Colleen and even though we were new and possibly one time clients, she was able to fit us in within a week. Jazz is 9 years old, but also really excitable, and when she first meets someone, REALLY bad about jumping. Colleen was SO patient with her and let her walk around the van and calm down before getting started. Colleen immediately asked about Jazz’s normal grooming, and when I mentioned that I didn’t really like the normal wheaten cut, she knew exactly what I meant. Colleen’s prices were so reasonable, which is GREAT considering she travels to your home and doesn’t keep your dog in a kennel. Jazz was happy, soft and very fluffy when Colleen was finished, so I’d definitely recommend her!

Colleen scheduled us and never showed up! She COMPLETELY forgot about our apointment which she scheduled 2months in advance! Worst part is that she called us 10hours later that day! Apparently she was too busy all day grooming and driving around and enjoying her evening with friends that she didn’t care to check her phone and respond to my calls and messages! Wasted a whole day waiting for her.
I wouldn’t recommend her services.

Colleen is simply amazing. My dog HATES going to the groomer. We had a bad experience with a different groomer recently where he got a cut that got infected. Ever since then, my dog was terrified of going to the groomer, so having one that comes to the house and gives him special attention is perfect for us. Colleen even came by on her day off to accommodate us. It was so easy not having to drive anywhere. Colleen just came to the door, took the dog out to her van and worked her magic. My little guy came back looking fantastic. His haircut is great, and he has never felt softer or smelled better! I will definitely be using Ride & Groom again — absolutely recommended!

Colleen is the best! She actually takes time to get to know your dog before she grooms her/​him. She does an amazing job and truly cares for the dogs. My pooch loves Colleen and always comes out of the van looking good and happy! Not to mention, you really can’t beat the convenience of this service. The prices are fair and you don’t have to worry about your dog being caged in the back of some store. Highly recommend! I will never use another groomer again!

The Ride & Groom is just about the best thing ever!!! I call once a month to have my lil lady cleaned up after weeks of rolling around in the dirt with the other dogs of Sheepfold. She comes out fresh as a daisy and happy as a clam! Colleen is so good with Dottie her passion for pets is undeniable. She’s so gentle and knows that Dottie isn’t comfortable with the hair dryer so she doesn’t use it on her.
I absolutely love the convenience of The Ride & Groom! Like the hair dryer, my dog also hates the vacuum cleaner so vacuuming while she’s getting scrubbed and de-​shedded is perfection! So much better than milling around Petco waiting for her.
I could not recommend this service enough!

I love the idea of having my dogs groomed (essentially) on my doorstep. Very convenient idea. In practice, though, it turned out to be less convenient for me. This is mostly my fault. I didn’t realize that Colleen did not have a parking pass or permit for Cambridge, so finding parking was a bit nerve wrecking. I should have double checked this beforehand.
Overall, the groom itself was pretty good, well-​priced, and quick. My dogs liked Colleen and seemed to have a good experience. However, I had a few issues with the groom that could possibly be attributed to the fact that my dogs had not been previously groomed by Colleen. My pups were cut much shorter than I had requested. Also, she wasn’t able to cut the dew claws on either one of my dogs, and she recommended I take them to someone (like a vet tech) who had better nail clippers for such things. The dew claws were not embedded in their paw pads, but they were long. I ended up taking both dogs to my vet for a nail trim and the vet tech did it in two minutes flat (with a normal nail clipper). In fact, it was so easy that the vet (luckily) did not charge me. It was annoying that I had to make two appointments to complete their groom, but I do appreciate that Colleen was cautious.

Colleen is wonderful! My dog loves her and always looks awesome after she grooms him. Also, the convenience of having her come to my house is outstanding and her prices are no higher than bringing him somewhere. Love this service!

My sweet Stella looks fantastic! Colleen is so warm and calming. After a traumatic incident (injury) at a groomer in Ball Sq that shall remain nameless, I was looking for a better setup. I knew Stella would be anxious having anyone attempt to give her a cut. We met Colleen at the Somerville dog fair last month and my pup was in love! She rolled up in her clean and well appointed van at 10am this morning and gave her the works while I made breakfast. In less than an hour she was back home; happy, well-​groomed and ready to show off her ‘do. Brilliant. Can’t recommend enough. $ 60 (more for larger dogs) for a wash, cut, nails, ear cleaning and teeth cleaning. Convenient, Caring, competent and cost effective!

I couldn’t be happier with Ride and Groom! Colleen was so friendly and did a FANTASTIC job grooming our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Stella– best cut she’s ever gotten. It was wonderfully convenient to have Ride and Groom pull right up to our house and take care of Stella right there. Plus, Stella didn’t have to hang around all day with a bunch of dogs she’d rather not be around all day. (she’s a little princess and thinks she’s a human) The price was competitive — absolutely worth every penny — and Colleen even brought Stella back with a little kerchief with her name on it — so cute! We’ll definitely be using Ride and Groom again.

I am so happy with Ride and Groom. I used Colleen today for the first time. My dog, Gizmo, has been recovering from a vicious dog attack 3 weeks ago. After being shaved for surgery, he was really odd looking. I did not want to take him to my regular groomer, though I liked her very much. He is old and needed tender, loving, individual care.
Enter Colleen and Ride and Groom. She is a wonderful groomer, and was everything I hoped for. She spent lots of time with Gizmo, and he came out happy and relaxed. I wish I had done this years ago. However, R&G was not around years ago. She has a shiny, new impressive van. I can’t rave about her enough. Gizmo will be going to her for the rest of his life. I highly recommend this way of grooming. Her prices are no more than gong to a regular groomer. Totally delightful for both of us.

The best haircut my dog has ever gotten! Colleen does a great job, and she’s so great with dogs. Our dog is usually very stressed at the groomer and won’t let the clippers get anywhere near her but she came out of the van happy, relaxed, and looking fabulous. And like many city dwellers we don’t own a car, so taking our dog to the groomer is an all day production. Ride and Groom comes to you! And the van uses a very efficient generator so the environment is happy too.
