Established in 2007.

After being in the green industry for the past 7 years, Darcy founded Darcy’s Garden, a landscape design and consultation business in 2007.

Business Owner

Darcy Hill Merritt has had an appreciation for plants since she was young, growing up in a Sonoma grape growing family. She received a bachelor’s of science in Environmental Horticultural Science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. After college, she worked as the manager of a small nursery/​farm in Arroyo Grande, running the daily activities as well as the nursery end of the business.

Most recently, Darcy worked at Sonoma Mission Gardens where she began as the Landscape Assistant before being promoted to the Landscape Supervisor. There, she gained landscape installation and design skills, as well as further local plant knowledge to make the best plant selections for the Sonoma Valley.
