If you are looking for a all purpose feed store, for chicken, cat, dog type supplies, and you like good prices, good customer service and sometimes need special order, this is the spot for you. These folks are very helpful, knowledgeable, and will help you out in a pinch (e.g. need to find a home for a chicken). I special order Royal Canine Siamese cat food (dry) and never had a problem. I have returned a nesting box and didn’t have a problem. I always get what I need and enjoy the interactions. I have gone to feed stores in: Napa, Half Moon Bay, Alamo, Carmel Valley and prefer the Granary the best of all.

It makes me sad to write this, but… I’ve had to rein in my raves for The Granary and downgrade my rating after having a very frustrating experience trying to get them to stock my cat’s favorite food types. I’ve driven there approximately four times in the past five to six weeks and each time received a guarantee that the product would be in «next week.»
I drove there again this morning and, once again, there were very few of the varieties I’d requested. I don’t know what the problem is but I’d rather hear an honest reason (is it too much trouble to order individual cans vs. cases?) than another rendition of «come back next week.» Sorrowfully, I came home and ordered $ 75.00 worth of the product via
. I would so much rather have given my consumer dollars to The Granary, a beloved local business.

I am so happy I found The Granary. Paul is a wonderful owner and always goes the extra mile for his customers. If he doesn’t have what you are looking for, he will order it for you, no problem. And, as an added bonus, he plays great music, so I always leave with a smile on my face!

Why anyone would go OUT of Sonoma to a chain store is beyond me… and practically criminal!

Before I could even walk into the store, an incredibly friendly young man was asking me if I needed any help. I was only there for about 10 minutes, but at least three people who worked there helped me in some way, either with advice about cat food, where to find cat litter, or simply insisting on carrying my purchases to my vehicle. Blown away by the excellent service and wide variety of products, I will definitely be returning to the Granary for all of my feline needs!
