Heuser’s Furniture Mattress and Design

I moved to Sonora about 18 months ago and I needed some furniture to fill out my new house. I bought three things for my home. Two pinnacle lazy boy recliners and a sofa recliner. All very good value. I’m pleased with the furniture and service.

I have purchased quite a few things from Heusers through the years and have been extremely impressed with the store, staff and selection. It’s the first place I think of when needing new furniture or accessories, LOVE it!

I bought a mattress and a headboard a few months ago. The service and help I received from the owner was excellent. I appreciated the care and concern that was taken to help me decide which mattress would be the best for me. It is hard to find such knowledgable, helpful people in retail today. They have great prices and great quality furniture. The entire process from purchase to delivery went smoothly. I will be making my next furniture purchase as Heuser’s soon!

If you buy something they have good service, BUT if you have a compliant they are awful. I bought 2 couches, 2 chairs, 2 mattress, 1 bedframe. The last purchase was a nightmare. I bought a Stearns and Foster mattress, not cheap. I have had 4 others and very happy w/​them. After sleeping on this mattress for only 3 weeks there was already a dent with A ridge in the middle. For three weeks i called, and finally theY returned my call, the workers came out, had an attitude and the dent was 1 ½ inches after not sleeping on it, it was not enough to justify a warranty issue. Two weeks later they still have not called back with a determination. VERY POOR SERVICE IF YOU HAVE AN ISSUE. WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN OR RECOMMEND THEM. DEF DONT BUY A MATTRESS FROM THEM AND SUPPORT THEIR BEHAVIOR.

My wife & I live in Angels Camp, Ca & thought we keep our hard earned money local, June 1^st 2014 our salesman was Michael Heuser OWNER who help us, was very knowledgeable about most brands, my wife & I tried a floor DEMO model 1449 console model after my wife’s light weight sheer jacket was released from being snagged on the middle console corner plastic piece corner breaking, but just loved the feel of the recliners (flexsteel) we loved the color but we couldn’t see a flexsteel couch that reclined with the same color due to not having one to show us. We bought a power 1449 sofa & 1449 console for well over $ 4,000.00 & were very excited about Michael Heuser OWNER knowing someone within the Flexsteel Furniture factory & could get it much sooner & by June 17 2014 in time for our party by July 19 2014 in plenty of time for the party, we sold our old furniture & July 4^th came & went so we called the store only to be told the flexsteel factory closed for inventory & Heusers furniture didn’t know a thing about it, then we were told 2^nd week of July The flexsteel factory had to order our color fabric due to a large back order & then factory ran out so there’s another delay! FINALLY we were told both 2 brand new couches came in on the delivery truck & they were ours & ready for delivery, my wife & I went to the store to measure one more time for an area rug & due to all the delays, excused, dishonesty I put a small piece of scotch tape on the black back under the recliner & delivery finally arrived all wrapped up in plastic even the cups, only to learn the one console flexsteel couch was the one from the showroom floor Demo, used furniture with a date of ¹⁰⁄₂₀₁₃ underneath & the piece of scotch tape was there where I put it. Again my wife’s light jacket caught underneath the corner of the model #1449 Console due to the plastic breaking from wear. My wife & I were sold a 9 month Flexsteel floor demo power model for over $ 2,100 dollars. Payment was stopped on our check that day & after a dreaded 8 ¾ weeks of waiting for our BRAND NEW FLEXSTEEL 2 COUCHES, July 25 2014 our order was completed & buying local brings on a whole new name, when I think of the FRAUDULENT SERVICE we had at HEUSERS FURNITURE in SONORA, CA.

I bought a set of mattress on memorial day since they offer discount and no sales tax. At first I was a little hesitate since Unilocalers gave few stars on their reviews. I went there despite the bad reviews just to check it out myself. The owner was helping another customer so I had time to try the mattresses. Apparently later I found out he was by himself. So no big deal. When an owner had to run the business himself with no help, he would do the best he could yo help a customer one at a time.
I asked his suggestion and I decide to get one. He is a knowledgable person and very helpful in the process of choosing the right mattress.
I will update on delivery experience since it won’t be till June 7.
June 7 update
They called me to confirm the delivery the day before and the guys came in on time. Kids are polite. They set up my bed.

I read all the posts on Unilocal and thought we’d try them and see for ourselves. The owner was really friendly and very knowledgeable about the construction and the history of the LaZboy furniture that we were interested in. Did you know that they made the deck chairs for the Titanic? We found exactly what we wanted at a great price. When it turned out that the delivery was to be delayed a bit, Mike went out of his way to call someone in so we could have our furniture delivered on time. My husband had surgery and really need that comfortable chair. The furniture itself? It is awesome! Both the loveseat and the chair are so comfortable and they look great! We could not be happier with this establishment and they have customers for life. The delivery guys were also very helpful and really nice.

My wife and I received the same treatment as Dave Y. Stopped in to look at a bunk bed for our seven year old as well as other furnishings. Immediately, we were informed that we could not afford anything in their store, even if they had such furniture in stock. Like Dave, we too are furnishing our entire house. We immediately called the place we liked most and placed the order for the quoted items, $ 46,178. We have two rooms remaining.
I have no use for pretentious people in my life.

My wife and I went into this store to find furniture for our newly purchased house. After looking for many minutes, we finally got approached by the owners wife who explained that the store offered «high quality» furniture and directed us to the clearance section. Both my wife and I are college graduates and have great jobs in our community, I have never been so embarrassed by a local establishment and will never refer anyone to this furniture store. The store employee assumed we were low income based on our age. I am disappointed that anyone would treated that way in such a small community.

We’ve purchased furniture here three times now, and have always been very pleased. They are great to work with, and have quality furniture! The best in Sonora! We’re just loving out new mattress! Thank you for all your great service and for being in this town!

My husband and I just purchased a new couch. This is our second time to work with this fine establishment. The owners are local, knowledgeable and quite personable. It is Sonora’s best place for high quality furniture.
