Wow! The customer service here is beyond anything I have ever experienced! My gas insert is not from there and is not a brand that they carry or service. You would think that the story would end here, but it doesn’t. I was given the phone number for their technician and talked with him. They were able to confirm the issue with my fireplace and walk me through how to fix it. I was willing to have them come fix it, but the tech felt certain that I could do it on my own. After a couple more phone calls and me again expressing that I would be more than willing to pay to have them come fix it I had it working as good as new!

Had an old propane stove in my cabin that just wouldn’t stay lit. Searched and found this place in Sonora. Drove up from the bay area to talk with them about potential repairs or replacement. This place is very discreet in a little strip mall. Pay attention or you’ll drive right by. I expected maybe a glorified hardware store selling gas and propane stoves and parts. I walked into a charming little store filled with many beautiful little stoves. It was right around the holidays, cold outside. The place was warm, cozy and festive — a cinnamon and pine scent filled the air. It was so inviting after a long drive.
The ladies that run the store are wonderful, knowledgeable, and super helpful. I made an appt. for one of their techs to come out and check my stove. They were booked up but could fit me in right after the holidays. I got a courtesy call reminder about 5 days before the appt.
The technician Kurt showed up on time and immediately went to work assessing my stove. He put down a floor covering in front of the stove — nice touch, and proceeded to take apart and vacuum the stove in order to get into it and really see what was going on. He lit the stove, diagnosed and explained the workings of the parts to me. He could fix it but it would need extensive repair. I decided it wasn’t worth repairing and I should invest in a new stove. He called the store and talked to Jane who immediately got in touch with Dale the owner. We made an appt. for Dale to come out — that day — and give me an estimate for installation and replacement. Dale showed up a couple of hours later assessed my situation and discussed my options for installation, recommended the best and least expensive alternative, mapped out installation notes for the installers, waived Kurt’s $ 110/​hr tech diagnostic fee, called the shop and asked Jane to call and place the order for the stove quickly (it was end of day Fri. and the company would be closing for the weekend), took a deposit on the stove and we made an appt for installation of the new stove for 3 weeks out. All of this went down within about 3 hrs.
I can only imagine the installation to be clean and efficient. Will update my post sans installation.
Would I recommend Hibernation Home concepts?
