Hospice of the Sierra treats the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of terminal and dying patients in their homes or homelike setting. Hospice focuses on helping patients make the most of their time, however long life lasts, by relieving pain and making them as comfortable as possible. Hospice services focus on meeting the needs of the entire family. Including family members is an important part of the Hospice of the Sierra mission.

Hospice of the Sierra provides a team-​based approach with physicians, nurses, home health aides, social workers, spiritual counselors, and volunteers. We have been servicing the two counties for over 30 years and provide 24-​hour-​a-​day, 7-​day-​a-​week services. We ask patients what their needs are, assess their comfort level and ask how can we help. Through listening carefully to the patient, and to their loved ones, we develop a personal care plan.
