I got lucky. Benaiah had some cancellations in his appt schedule and was able to get me in. Great talker very informative about area and wonderful barber.

Best barbershop in the Sierras, by a LANDSLIDE.
Have been going here every couple weeks for almost two years now and Benaiah is a top knotch barber.
Not once has he not given me what I wanted, how I wanted, and at a price that I felt was extremely fair.
He can do fades, tapers, pompadours, designs, kid cuts, etc!
To be honest, I’m not sure if there is anything he can’t do.
And the best part of all?
He’s PERSONAL.
He’ll remember your name, make you feel comfortable, and the premium banter is always free.
Great place to go, have recommended to ALL my friends and family and will continue to do so!

No stars! Rude as hell. Not from the area and needed a haircut. I called the shop and I asked what are the landmarks because I couldn’t find it. «It’s a red building located next to a yellow building.» That’s was telling me whole lot. I finally found the location and I sat down. I did not get any type of greeting. No «hello» or a smile. Don’t know if he was having a bad day but he definitely had that flat-​affect going on and I did not want him to take it out on my head so I left.

My son just had his 1^st hair cut here. I was worried about where to take him but I’m glad I found this place. Benaiah was awesome with him & my son had a blast in the police car. Will definitely be coming back and recommending.

We’ve been traveling to the Sonora area from Orange County (300 miles away) for quite some time now. In Orange County fancy barber shops that charge $ 40 for a cut are on every street corner. My husband has a very particular way he likes his rockabilly/​greaser hair done and the best barber we ever found was all the way up in Sonora! So now we work out vacations around my husbands hair cutting needs (about every three-​four weeks) and we get his hair cut up here. Benaiah is very talented, precise and personable. And we can honestly say he is the best in California!

Randomly stopped by here while travelling back from Yosemite because I was overdue for a haircut. The ambiance of the place was great, the barber was down to earth and entertaining, and the haircut was top notch. I don’t think I’ll be back in that neighborhood anytime soon, but I would definitely go back if I were.

I stopped there the other day to check it out with my 18 month old son today after my wife read these Unilocal reviews. Benaiah did an awesome job with my son. He was patient and understood how to keep a little one occupied while cutting their hair. Afterwords I got a haircut myself, and this guy is the real deal. He gives a great fade and uses scissors (aka a real barber). He is a professional in every sense of the word. Top Cuts is a real barbershop and a great place to get a cut all at a great price.

My sons first haircut was sensational! Hit this up after a personal referral and reading about it here on Unilocal.He is a top notch barber, a second time BARBER! Through speaking with him I found he learned this trade the old fashioned way, from the guy who worked there before him. Nobody does that any more but the difference shows. I’ve had plenty of clipper cuts where some brainless twit snaps guards on and off, run the clippers around in a circle and charges you $ 20. I can do that at home if I really want to but at top cuts is was scissors and comb. It’s a full service shop for the mans n ladies but it’s a little more of a mans ‘stop n chop’ with a 50’s vibe, hot rod appeal, and real chairs that kick you back for the straight razor shave. The opportunity for a hot straight shave is a uniquely male indulgence that should be enjoyed more than once in a lifetime. Parking kinda sucks (down a hill behind the shop) but it’s a tough location without any other options. Top Cuts is my new regular and preferred barber.
