Kept my laptop for 5 days
Called saying it’s fixed
Get here to pick it up
And it’s not fixed and blames it on a hardware issue which is not covered with the 3 year plan I brought
Jerry was helpful, fixed one if the problems in… but I don’t know what the other agent was doing for 5 days

I wouldn’t give them 1 star they do not deserve it I got ripped off with them I bought a 2000 worth of computer and they offered me tech support for such amount I’ll call them over and over when I have problems did not respond send an email didn’t work so I went back to you to get my money 2 cancel my contract they told me its too late is past time frame anyway I would never go back to shop in Best Buy.

Purchased 55″ tv through store but they ordered online for me. Received notification and went to pick up only to find they ordered a 50″ and charging me $ 200.00 more. Spoke with clerk and she stated there was no record of a 55″ tv on sale on Black Friday. Sooooo went home pulled up Best Buy’s ad which said 55″ and on sale. Drove back and was met at door by floor mgr who apologized and said he was just made aware of what happened and they ordered wrong tv initially. They reordered and offered free shipping to my home which I accepted.

I wish someone there would read these reviews and change something there.
The help is worthless and very slow.
You can tell all the employees hate their jobs. I’ve been there several times because once you buy anything there you will be forced to end up there with a return.
The line is slower then the DMV, not that’s there’s not enough employees, it’s that they seem to be busy doing other things
And when asked they reply that they don’t handle returns even though they are working behind the same counter.
Seems strange they all can’t be taught the various routine tasks needed.

Three strikes. You’re out, Geek Squad.
Twice before I have used Geek Squad and twice before I had horrible experiences.
That should have been my first indication not to use them again, but I figured that was a while ago, maybe they’d improved.
After all, the concept is a good one: Get people to tool around in groovy cars to come out and help people deal with their tech issues, for a nominal fee.
A true «win/​win» if ever there was one.
What kills this system, as far as I can see, is their crappy, superior attitude, their lack of communication with each other AND the client and the air of geek superiority that permeates through 95% of the company, from the Techs to the Call Center goofballs. (How you can work in a call center and feel «superior» to anyone is beyond me!)
At this writing, I’ve been on hold for nearly 90 minutes with a total a**hole. I’m taking the high road here as I’m also recording the conversation on my iPhone, which I plan on bringing into the Best Buy near me and playing for the Geek Squad supervisor, on site.
The two techs who arrived at my door this morning (without the advance phone call I was promised), did their work in a professional way, but left without answering some pretty basic questions I didn’t know I’d have until after they left. (They also left without leaving me a business card or an invoice!).
I’ve been on hold with this «a**hole» since they left, because I need some answers to my questions and I need an invoice!
Avoid the chaos. Next time you need some geek work done, offer to pay a friend or co-​worker who knows a thing or two about tech stuff.
Forget these arrogant geeks.

Today my boo and I went in to pick up his laptop. Wait time = 1 hour before receiving service. Number of people infront of us? 3. 2 of them were gone within the first 20 minutes. No one greeted us, and no one told us it will be a minute. From what I saw, there were 3 – 4 people on clock. How many were actually helping customers? 1 and a half. Why half? One guy was injured with crutches and sat there kind of socializing with a customer. The other was gone for ten minutes but came back to help the customer who was indeed behind us. From what I could tell the customer behind us had been in Best Buy for 2 hours trying to get customer service.
If you plan on going to Geek Squad, I recommend buying a sack lunch and a 100 page book for entertainment while you stand in line.
