I hired Jennifer McCabe to represent me in a custody hearing in regards to my infant son. When I met Jennifer, I was searching for someone who would understand my concerns, fight for them, but be able to do so with character. She is a strong force of integrity and instinct. With her inner compass she guided us through rocky pathways to the promised land of reconciliation and safety.
One thing I like so much about her is she doesn’t just throw you out there to the wolves. She prepares you, knowing the landscape of the court room well herself, she still holds an awareness of what it feels like to step into that world for the first time. I felt prepared once in the thick of it, only because of her descriptive preparations. Her calming presence put me at ease more than once in some of the more fearful moments, never losing her nerve or her encouragement.

Although she guided my situation to a positive landing, due to my ongoing situation there may be need for another lawyer in the future. If I have to go back into the maze of the court system again, I would always choose Jennifer!

Jennifer A McCabe. What can I say about such a wonderful compassionate person! (which I found in my search for lawyers is difficult to acquire!). I had spoken to a few other attorneys by the time I got to Jennifer and needless to say I was feeling defeated. All of them had «advised» me to leave things as they were that nothing would change. After a long talk at the beach with a good friend of mine, a log brainstorming session and an extensive attorney google search we came across Jennifer on Unilocal and so I began an intense game of phone/​email tag (my fault not hers she is on top! of everything and replies almost instantly) I got a hold of her and met in her very! clean and organized office (another hard to find quality in an attorney). We chatted for a good hour or so and after drinking two of her water bottles she neatly has placed in her office I asked «So what do you think?» as she very confidently told me «I don’t ever know what the courts will rule, BUT what do I think? I think I don’t agree with (the attorney who previously advised me), I think this is a ‘slam dunk’.» That day I walked out of her office feeling as excited and happy as I was when I first saw my daughter. Months later it has not been easy and I have had days where things felt like they were all against me BUT Jennifer has gone above and beyond! her duty as an attorney and I am happy to report I have the privilege and well deserved honor of raising my beautiful daughter. One thing Jennifer has told me about herself from the beginning is she has morals and will never take a case that she does not believe in. With that being said she NEVER is unfair or for lack of better terms «sketchy.» So if you are blessed enough to have Jennifer on your side feel honored. Jennifer is extremely intelligent, knowledgable and one of the hardest working people I’ve ever met in my life. Jennifer is an amazing lawyer. She’s knowledgeable, sympathetic, and calm, which makes all the difference in a contentious situation. Her fees are fair, she does what she says she is going to do, and is highly trustworthy. If you are facing a divorce or any other family law matter, I suggest you contact her as soon as possible.

My only regret is not hiring Jenn immediately when I got a divorce three years ago.
After endless hours in mediation, a previous attorney who lost our paperwork and forgot to file after months (whoops!) I was referred to Jenn and told she was the best – that recommendation didn’t disappoint. Jenn worked with both my now and me ex-​husband and within a month I was free with no arguing and a resolution that met both of our needs peacefully so that we could continue our amazing co-​parenting relationship with our child. Fast forward three years and my ex had to relocate resulting in a pretty ugly argument between us about all the usual. As usual, Jenn stepped in and saved the day by allowing us to rationally work together and avoid an ugly war that could have resulted had we relied on my ex’s representation.
Jenn will work with you if you are in financial need. Jenn will answer every email, phone call and meet you when your schedule allows. I wish I could shout this from the rooftops but instead, I’ll say it here for the Unilocal community. Save your time and headaches and hassle hiring someone else. Go to Jenn who will get the job done in the most professional, fair, and empathetic way.

After attempting to manage the court system on my own, I realized my need for an attorney. Jennifer was referred to me by reliable resources. One visit and she made my life issues simple to understand and resolve. My case was ruled by the court in my favor, making a better life for me and my 3 year old son.
