Great customer service! I needed a couple of hatch lift support struts and they had them in stock at a price that was competitive with other nearby auto shops. The best part was once the sale was complete, the sales person offered then installed the struts for me! It took him less than a minute to install them and I was back on the road.

Not your normal auto parts store. The employees seem to actually like working here. They Are always friendly, plus they will go out of their way to help with any of your auto needs.

Just stopped in to check my oil to find out it was pretty much empty. Bobby helped me get the right oil and he even went above and beyond by helping me put it in my car. He even rang me up one at a time for the oil, checking it’s levels as we added it so I wasn’t overcharged. Top quality service from Winchester thanks to Bobby.
I also needed a new battery for my car key. He took it apart and helped me figure out what battery it takes and where I could get it.
No question he is the reason for this 5 star review! THANKS BOBBY!!! Winchester should be grateful to have you on their team!

two stars beacause they do carry some of the parts/​equipment you will need… however…
I have been to this winchester many times… and have yet to have had a pleasant experience. The workers here appear to be biased, lazy, sexist, prejudice and racist. I’ve waited for fifteen minutes in front of the counter watching employees star blankly at their computers until finally someone asked if i needed help… «No, I’m just here to watch you guys not work… OBVIOUSLY I NEED HELP I’VE BEEN STANDING HERE FOR 15 MINUTES!!». It seems that they are biased to only help customers who are their friends, or former employees… I can’t express how frustrated I’ve been having to come to this store in the past, but now I’ll avoid it at all costs and continue to drive the extra 10 miles (right past the soquel store) to go to the Scotts Valley location which has outstanding service. Also, I’ve called these guys (in Soquel) before to ask them a simple «how much does this cost» question, and the guy LITERALLY told me «I don’t know, I don’t understand, I’m not sure» Seriously? You’re so fricken lazy you can’t walk out from behind your counter the whole twelve feet to look at what I’m asking about and tell me the friggin price? I’ll be going elsewhere then. Furthermore, I think I’ll be making a call to the manager to let them know that I seriously believe they need to re-​train their employees and STEP THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE UP. Whatever happened to «service with a smile»??!

I decided to pay these guy’s another visit. I gave the kid behind the counter a package from a gasket that I need and it has the factory Toyota and a Beck Arnly numbers printed on the front. He types some numbers on his computer and comes out of the back with a smaller gasket with a different Beck number, the wrong gasket, telling me that’s what I need. NO. He was getting frustrated with me, all HUFFY PUFFY… Even tho I supplied him with the part number of what I needed, it can not get any easier than that. It was pretty funny, but eventually he got it right. THIS PLACE NEEDS HELP.

I have owned my own shops in the past, and I still try to do my own repair and maintenance work. Good advice and access to parts is essential for me. I just bought the third set of brakes from them (over the years) for my old work truck, and proceeded to install them. There was a really freaky problem that I could not figure out, so I took my truck to a repair shop who also struggled for several hours to finally discover that one of the brake rotors had a really strange warp in it that caused a problem that none of us had ever seen before. I ended up with a repair bill, all because Winchester sold me a bad part. I returned to Winchester the next day and explained what happened, and thought that maybe they would offer me a discount on my next batch of parts. The employees and boss were mortified about the problem, and insisted upon a 100% refund of the entire repair cost at the other shop, which was completely unexpected and exceeded my parts purchase with them in the first place. Winchester Auto Parts in Soquel stands behind their business more than anyone that I have ever seen. I have also observed that they walk out into the parking lot to help people who have no idea what they need for their cars. Great people, and great service, with fair prices. Buy with confidence!

After hours, I needed Honda ATF. I was asked if I needed help, I said, «I need Honda OEM ATF,» He said, «what weight oil is that?»
Cant they higher people who have a slight idea what there doing?

I went to Winchester Auto Parts to replace a headlight and windshield wiper blades. The workers were very friendly, found just what I needed, and then Nathan (‘new Nathan’) installed everything for me for free. I am so grateful, and will send everyone I know there. Thanks, Nathan!

I went in with my brake light needing to be replaced. I have no experience in changing the bulb, and they not only gave me an unbeatable price, but installed the light on the spot for free! I will definitely be back.

Poor, limited selection. Prices higher than anyone in town. Sales associates lack knowledge on their own products. Called to get a quote on a car battery. Was quoted on one that was $ 65, and one that was $ 99. I was told both were in stock. Arrived at store an hour later to find out they only had the $ 99 one. Guy at counter tried to tell me there wasn’t another model at a lower price, until his co worker informed him otherwise. Still they insisted the cheaper one was not in stock. Purchased the more expensive battery, brought it home and found that it didn’t even fit. I’ll be returning it tomorrow. Thanks Winchester for wasting my time on something really simple!

My favorite guys are at Carr Parts… but I like going in here as it is closer to my house. Always nice guys, they never steer me wrong… and they have one of those balloon things out front to torment my puppy with for his «puppy socialization» exercises. (get to kill two birds with one stone, in other words)

I do all my own repairs. I own 5 vehicles. The folks at Winchester have consistently been very helpful. They usually have the part I need or can get it very quickly. The counter personnel seem to be knowledgeable and have been courteous to me. I can’t say that about other parts houses. It’s nice to have a decent place to shop for parts and accessories.

This place has a great variety of car supplies. Every time I need something I can find it here. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly.

Winchester doesnt make me feel like an idiot for being a DIY-​er or try to sell me unnecessary crap.
After the bullshit service of Oreillys I went to Winchester. They were more than happy to listen to my dilemma of a stripped lugnut and took it off completely for me. Got a new set and they are great!
I try to buy from Winchester whenever possible, they do sometimes run out of parts fast (or it could be that my car has popular parts!), but have no problem ordering them.
Their breaks are more expensive than most, but the radiator I bought there was cheaper then anywhere in town!
I’ll be back for an oil filter and spark plugs next week!

You literally cannot get faster, friendlier service anywhere else.
Let’s just say I live in Monterey and am willing to drive around for a week with a busted brake light just so I can come up to Santa Cruz on the weekend to see the guys at Winchester. Every time I have come in with any various light or fuse or fluid issue, someone runs out to my car, checks it out, runs back inside, grabs the right part, and even FIXES IT FOR ME for free. A few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to have Blake replace both my brake lights in a matter of a few minutes — for just the price of the lights. Maybe it’s because I’m extra cute or something (don’t count on it) — but I think it’s because these guys are just really, really nice and knowledgeable — and take pride in what they do, and enjoy helping people out.
Case in point: they do the same for my dad when he comes here. And my mom. And my brother. My whole family comes here now for the small services needed. Windshield wipers, lights, fuses, etc. — you can’t go wrong.
Seriously Winchester guys — get a tip jar for the counter. You deserve it!

I know absolutely nothing about cars. The guys at Winchester have been so helpful with keeping my car intact. From cutting my windshield wiper blades (which have to be cut a special way) to telling me where I can find things cheapest and who I can trust.
Locally owned, family business. If they can’t help you, they will send you to somebody who they trust.
So thankful for all of the help over the years. You guys rock!

Had trouble with my car and took it in they took the time to come out to the parking lot and help me put parts on my car after helping me find what i needed. Above and beyond the call, thank you.

This place has a good selection of tools and parts that is a bit different from the other auto parts stores nearby, so it is good to come here if you aren’t able to find something elsewhere. They specialize with domestic parts mostly but I did get my whole MSD ignition setup for my Acura Integra from them. They also tend to have a good collection of exhaust/​engine enamels.

The guys at Winchester Auto Parts are really friendly and helpful. Their products are marked up quite a bit, but they have the hard to find stuff that you can’t get at Kragen or Napa… like header wrap. Plus if you want to talk shop with the guys, they’ll usually indulge you.

High prices aside, I still shop here for the more rare parts and supplies.
