«Living here is like living in hell! but you can turn that into your own paradise.» Please note that my review is purely based on my experience, and my research gathered from other tenants. Do your research, talk to people, read online reviews, and drive around the area before you sign the lease. I would also like to mention that I am no longer living here and have broken my lease in order to find a safe and habitable place for my family. 1. There is lots of Drug Activity in the area. Keep eyes on your kids, and always stay with them while they are out. 2. The entire area of LT, and Parkwood Apts is infested with deadly rats, mice, bed bugs, roaches, and you name it. They will give you the same old reason saying that people don’t report these issues and the apartment you they giving you has been exterminated. Well, guess what they are full of «you know what». Pay $ 50 more and move to safety. If you call them to come over, they will come over but will send you a $ 45 admin fee for every extermination call. My advice is to keep a $ 90 budget for extermination work every month if you are really in love with your apartment. 3. You will not be able to see the apartment you moving into until you sign the lease. They will always show you the best model available for demo. 4. Pets are not allowed as per the contract, but you will find more pets in this area than anywhere else in Parlin. 5. Maintenance supervisor clearly believes in favoritism. Keep your pocket heavy. 6. Invasion of privacy is openly practiced around here. There is no such thing as giving prior notice before entering into an apartment. This is part of the contract you sign. Welcome to early 1900. 7. Their maintenance guys are better photographers than actual maintenance. If you ever want to have professional photos done, contact LT maintenance. 8. Always call if something goes wrong but don’t expect them to show up on time. 9. Their Security Guy sits in his Hyundai and milks the clock. If you ever need a stable job, talk to LT security Guy. Finding him is pretty simple. Just drive around in LT and look for a beat up Hyundai around Garbage Dumpsters. 10. Don’t ever leave anything in the balcony during daylight, otherwise, they will send you a notice to quit. This is part of their policy. However, if you get to know the supervisor, he will let you keep all kinds of junk, bicycles, and etc. Drive around in LT during the summer and join the world famous balcony parties. 11. Finally, Location, Location, Location!!! You will find anything and everything with-in 1 – 15 walk. Bus, Grocery, and etc.
