The Litter Sitter, Inc. was founded in late 2011. After having finished her degree in Veterinary Technology, Lori decided to take her passion for animals a step further and open up her own Dog Walking and Pet Sitting business. Receiving an increasing amount of hands on experience during her years of study and personal experience with animals of her own, Lori is skilled in assessing behavioral temperaments, animal restraint, medicating animals and trimming nails to name a few.

During the course of her career and life Lori has dealt with such animals as your typical dog and cat, bird, reptile, pocket pet as well as a few large animals such as horses and cows.

As Owner and Founder of The Litter Sitter, Inc., Lori believes in caring for clients pets as if they were one of her own. And thus so has made it her mission to provide quality care as well as piece of mind for her clients.

Lori is just amazing!
I used to have a really great cat sitter back in NYC (CaraCare) and was really worried that i won’t be able to replace her when I moved to Miami.
My cat is very needy and loves people’s attention. Lori immediately connected with her and when I come back from the trips I’m greeted by a happy cat and not by some grumpy monster.
I also have a lot of last minute trips lately due to my work and Lori was able to adjust and help me when I need it the most.
Booking system is super easy.

When I moved to Miami a couple years ago, I was traveling frequently, and when searching online for a catsitter, The Litter Sitter made it very easy to create a profile and get setup quickly. And I must say I was surprised at how content and calm my cat has been when I return from trips after The Litter Sitter has sat for her. She had in the past, before using The Litter Sitter, usually been very needy and sometimes seemed disturbed or upset upon my return from trips. So The Litter Sitter is doing something right, giving her the care, time, and attention kitty needs to not miss mama so much! Thank you!

I was recommended to The Litter Sitter owner, Lori, through a friend who had used her services with glowing reviews. I have two 15 year old cats that I was leaving alone for the first time, for 9 nights. I contacted The Litter Sitter through their website, which made it simple to make that first contact, and to sign up for exactly the services I needed. Lori quickly responded, and we set up a time to meet in person, have her meet my cats, see where the food, litter and most important, the favorite hiding spots in which they could be found. She described the process, had a folder and all the forms needed in case of emergency, made everything easy and most important, made me confident that my cats were in good hands. I ended up leaving a day earlier than expected, and they were able to jump in and start sooner. Each day, I received pictures of the cats and a brief text, which provided all the reassurance I needed, to know that they were being well cared for and attended to. I just returned home, and they are doing great. I would highly recommend this service, not only related to the care of my cats, but also because it was efficient to sign up and communicate through the great website.

I started using The Litter Sitter a couple of months ago when I moved to Miami Beach. I was extremely stressed out because I had a great dog walker in Brickell but she does not service the beach. My pets are like my babies and if you’re like me, leaving them in the care of just anyone is not an option. I interviewed with Lorri (the owner) and she was very professional and nice so I decided to test them out and it has been great so far. She also has another dog walker named Marta who is also extremely nice and loves animals.
I have a 13 yr old labrador who is high maintenance because he has arthritis and has a hard time getting up and walking around but Lorri & Marta have done a great job caring for him and also my 2 yr old JackChi, Spartacus. I get updates via text daily and sometimes she sends pics. A month ago when Spartacus chewed up the carpet in my bedroom, Lorri texted me right away and suggested that I take him to the vet because her and Marta were worried about him. I’m grateful that they urged me to take him, because the string from the carpet was wrapped around his intestines and he needed emergency surgery. They were both very concerned about Spartacus while he was in the hospital.
I’m very happy I found them and both my dogs really love them, so I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

I was starting to stress out for an upcoming vacation as our cat does not do well with boarding, and without having someone to care for him while we were out, I researched local pet sitting services. It is really hard to find someone trustworthy, professional and qualified enough to leave your pet in their hands. I am glad I found out about The Litter Sitter. I did this solely going on reviews and after meeting her, I knew this is exactly the service I need for my pet when I’m out of town (especially since our cat took an immediate liking to her).
Lori came by daily to tend to our cat, Sebastian earlier this month for 6 days. She updated us with texts and pictures of him while we were on vacation, which as pet owners, gave us major peace of mind.
We will continue to use her services anytime we need to go out of town. Highly recommended.

It can be a very scary process trying to find a trustworthy, qualified individual to care for our furry family members. After moving to Miami from NYC and not knowing one pet sitter from another OR to have friends that could point us toward solid referrals, I feel we somehow won the jackpot with The Litter Sitter! Not only am I 1000% confident and secure in the care that our 2 dogs receive, BUT I completely trust that they are getting good, solid walks and LOTS of play while they are out, which is something that can be tough to claim with many pet sitters. The Litter Sitter treats our 2 dogs as if they were her own. We have left them in her care while on vacation — for overnight visits — and whereas before this would be a very harrowing prospect, I know that with the Litter Sitter they are in the most caring, qualified hands possible. Words can’t express how grateful we are for her and the love and care she brings our dogs. Thank you!!! And yes — I highly recommend the services of the LItter Sitter. She goes above and beyond. Truly.
