J Rooney, what can I say that the others didn’t, unprofessional, unfriendly, flat our treated us like dirt when we were dealing with him. How people give this place there business when there are so many other options out there blows my mind. Left us hanging for weeks on time sensitive issues causing a lot of unnecessary stress in what is an already stressful situation purchasing a property. Also treated our agent with contempt.

Jay Rooney gave us the lowest estimate of the 3 brokers we talked to when we listed our place in Southie – and I mean he wanted to list it nearly 200k less than what we SOLD it for. He wasn’t enthusiastic in talking to us about selling our place (in what was an extraordinarily good 2013 sellers’ market) and I had no confidence in him. We never would have sold at the price he wanted to put it out at –and we told him so. As it turned out, despite my being nervous about reaching for the higher price, we sold in one OH. If you’re looking to maximize your value, I’d keep looking.

We bought our home from GKR last November and they were so great. Sandy was our realtor and the house we bought ended up being listed by GKR. She was great to work with. She answered all of our questions quickly and everything went so smoothly, we even got to close a couple weeks early! Everything was great and we love our house. Would recommend using Sandy to anyone.

LINDSAY SMITH, WORST REALTOR IN TOWN!
if you are planning to rent, sell or buy, do yourself a favor, don’t waist your time with this place. GKR RESIDENTIAL (The Dom Lange Team) in South Boston (148 Dorchester Avenue) it’s the worst agency, I had to deal with, since I’ve been living in the city.
If you are thinking to give this place a second chance, don’t make any business with LINDSAY SMITH. She is a young, inexperience, arrogant and VERY unprofessional realtor. I am not sure if she is really certified. Her little experience and lack of education will get you no-​where. It’s better to be in the hands of someone who is willing to earn her/​his salary, by treating her costumers, with dedication and respect.

A friend of our who is a realtor in the burbs recommended GKR and specifically Jay Rooney to us when we put our condo on the market. In the down market, it was extremely challenging to get our place to sell despite a great location and having an attractive condo. Jay was a MACHINE about getting our place to sell! We ended up needing to do some significant work, and he found us an extremely reasonable, responsive, and reliable contractor; helped expedite processes with the city; and ultimately stuck it out with us through 2 offers that backed out till we finally got our third offer that closed. I can’t say enough positive things about our experience with GKR and Jay and highly recommend them.
