Donata is great with my dogs. My oldest is 5 and has been going there most of 5 years. Female who is a little mean and snips at Donata. My male is super friendly, she’s great with him as well. They always have pretty bows or kerchiefs or bow ties on looking spiffy. She has not raised the price for my female at all. She always has availability when you call for an appointment.

After having been to numerous dog groomers in South Boston this is the best. The staff are extremely friendly. I asked for a cut similar to a boys wiffle and got just want I wanted.

New to Southie and was having a terrible time getting an appointment for my dog. People told me to avoid Snippers, but it was the only place that could take him on very short notice. I couldn’t have been more pleased. Same day appt. and the call to say he was ready for pick up was exactly in the time frame I was quoted. The cut was very good and my dog was roaming around the shop free and seemed very happy. I have other places that are in walking distance but will keep Snippers as my go to salon. Parking on the side street is ample.

Susan has moved on– however, Danada is also wonderful. Love that I only have to leave my dog for a few hours and not the whole day.

I brought my Golden Doodle in for a bath and cut today. Dropped her off at 9:30am and picked her up at 2pm. Snippers did a great job. I’m really happy with how the haircut looks.
Would be 5 stars if their pricing was more competitive.

I highly recommend Snippers! Susan and Donata run an organized and efficient business, and they are very good at what they do. I’m always pleased with the cut, and their prices are comparable to other places in the neighborhood. More importantly, they are quite personable and kind to both dogs & people. Also Susan is very knowledgeable about holistic care for dogs — I mentioned that my vet was pushing surgery for my dog’s urinary problems. She recommended some herbal remedies, and the problems went away.

Susan and her crew are just great. They treat your dog like it was their own. My office is in the same building as Snippers. They are also good neighbors – picking up after customer’s dogs, looking for lost pets, and standing up for mistreated animals.
Snippers has just opened a doggie day care upstairs. I’m looking forward to trying it out.

My dog walker recommended I visit Susan at Snipper’s. I could not have asked for a better experience. My dog was a trooper the entire time there, very well behaved (I’m told), and looks great. In about 2 hours’ time, she had her nails done, a bath, haircut, and blow dry for $ 35. She also left with a colorful bandana, and I left with some suggestions for home-​grooming products and some natural dog remedies. Would definitely recommend.

Susan at Snippers is the best! I have been bringing my dogs there for over a year now and I’m so happy I found the place. My lab mix was very difficult at her first appointment but thankfully Susan is patient and was gracious enough to let us continue on as customers. She is thorough but quick, and also accomodating of her human customer’s needs. Your dog will leave smelling fantastic and with a cute little bandana! The prices are reasonable too– I only wish she was open later on the weekdays.
