History

Established in 1978.

Founded in 1978, Dayton Collision Center is a family business, owned and operated by David Nappa. The Nappa family has an automotive dealership and collision repair history that dates back more than 50 years! In fact, Dave’s father, Frank Nappa was awarded Time magazine’s Dealer of the Year Award in 1999. And David’s Toyota dealership was the 1^st Toyota dealership in New Jersey, founded in 1959!

This long history of family ownership has brought with it characteristics unique to family run businesses. A strong focus on family values, commitment, quality and personal attention separate Dayton Collision Center from our competitors.

Aside from being experts in the Toyota and Ford brands, Dayton Collision is well versed on all major make and model repairs and our shop is well equipped to tackle any job-​big or small. We work with all insurance companies on repairs but are a direct repair facility for NJ Manufacturers, Liberty Mutual, Allstate, Progressive & Plymouth Rock.

David N.

Business Owner

Dave started working in his father’s Ford dealership in Wayne, NJ when he was just 15 years old. He worked in the prep department washing and detailing cars. Over the next 25 years he worked his way up through the sales department, the F&I department, into & through various sales management positions, finally becoming the General Manager of Wayne Ford. In 2006, Dave was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to buy Dayton Toyota and Dayton Collision Center in South Brunswick, NJ. He has served as President and Dealer Principal ever since. Dave is also the current President of Wayne Ford.

Dave graduated from Wake Forest with a degree in Business Administration and Marketing and got his M.B.A. from Northwestern. Along with his knowledge of business and marketing, Dave brings the long legacy of family values that were instilled in him by his father some 25 years ago. It is in those values that you find his commitment to customer satisfaction, quality work & personal touch.
