Super super fun! Got the living social deal and had Bud as our instructor. He made us feel super comfortable with the gun and was really encouraging and helpful. Had a great time!
Only wish we had more ammo. Next time.

Loved it. Easy and nice helpful people. My 12 yr old boy had a blast. We will definitely go again.

First time sport clay shooting for my birthday! We used a living social deal.
Chad and Jim were Fun and knowledgeable! really appreciated the two trainers for our group of 5. They both gave pointers for us newbies. We had the cages and targets to our selves, which was an added bonus.
Fun activity/​experience for a group, I would recommend going back to practice to prep for the zombie apocalypse.
Close to 60 Freeway, Rosemead exit.

The only minor mishap, which I would minus half star was the wait time, but that was a discrepancy in the booking.

My husband and 2 friends came here 2 weeks ago for skeet shooting. For the girls, it was our first time. For the guys, their second time. Our instructor Jimmy Wong was great! Not only did he make sure the girls are safe (my 2 friends r getting married in 2 weeks), but he really spent time teaching us about the trade, guiding us on how to aim for the target, etc. I think we all had tremendous fun. I personally loved it and I think most of it had to do w Jimmy’s great teachings. Will definitely recommend this place and Jimmy to any of my friends who want to try skeet shooting.

I’ve never been trap shooting before, so my friend decided to take me out for my birthday to try it out at a real range that caters to it. The place is located in south El Monte and is very close to the freeway for easy access. The parking lot here is quite large; I can’t ever imagine it filling up. Upon arriving, I was very impressed at the quality of this range. They offer everything you need here if you wish to come out and shoot some birds for the day. My friend booked us time with an instructor who went over the basics of the course and basically showed us how to get started in shooting clays. The instructor did a really great job at teaching my friend how to hold, use and aim a shotgun correctly as she had never done it before. After our time with the instructor was done (which also included ammo, clays and gun rentals for the day) I went out to try some of the other courses they have setup. This place features 24 clay fields and lots of different clay setups to keep you on your feet. I guess they switch them out every to change things up for the regulars. Not only do they have quite a number of fields, but they also sell anything you could imagine for shotgun sports.
Basically if you’re a shotgun enthusiast and are looking for a great range to shoot at, Triple B’s is definitely the place to be. I really wish San Diego featured such a great place like this, but unfortunately there just isn’t enough demand for shotgun ranges down south.

I’ve coming here for about 2yrs. The staff is helpful and informative. The people here are courteous. You can rent shotguns all types or bring your own. They offer lessons which I highly recommend if it if your first time here. You have the options of skeet shooting, trap or sports clay. Don’t be shy or intimidated your not alway going to hit the target but it’s a a lot of fun. A group of four is great!

I had a groupon for a lesson for two. We got Mitchell as our instructor, and we were extremely glad we did. He was very knowledgable and helpful in helping us understand gun safety as well as pointers on how to improve shooting the clays. Great time and first experience!

Some say Disneyland is the happiest place on earth but those dummies have never been to Triple B Clays. This is my favorite place to spend my money, sporting clays really tests your skills and patience but holy crap is it fun. A bit intimidating for someone who is completely new but luckily you can hire a trainer for your first go at it. Safety is number one here and all shooters and staff will remind you of it. Its a great place for young shooters as well. Great place i recommend it. Not too many places like this left so we should all do our part and support these kind of establishments.

They rent shotguns in case you don’t have your own and have a pretty selection to choose from. I’ve tried a Beretta semi auto and a Browning Over/​Under. Their ammo prices are also pretty good.
I got an introductory session with Paul, our instructor. He was very friendly and gave some good tips. I shot quite a few trap targets including doubles. I’d highly recommend a visit. It was fun.

Looked forward to go here with my gf! However, it was really hard to find. We decided to call them and ask for directions since Google maps and iPhone maps took us to the wrong place. The receptionist on the phone could not help us with the directions so she called a gentleman on the phone. He sounded really irritated and when we asked which direction it is from where we are at he wouldn’t answer and rudely hung up. That completely killed any kind of excitement we had to go there and we ended up canceling our group on. This is not how they should treat their customers and we wasted half a day for nothing. Never going there again and definitely not referring it to anyone.

Went here for my birthday on a groupon deal my girlfriend got and everything and everyone was seamless and pleasant. Our instructor was Mitchell Garrett, oh man, this guy was nothing but the best! Very knowledgeable and very patient. It’s been a while since I’ve shot and my girlfriend has never shot a shot. Mitchell was very kind, informative and all around the best, as well as gave positive re-​enforcement After every shot, truly can’t say enough good things about him!!! The rest of the range was a blast and some sections were more difficult than others, which made it more fun! All I can say is go here if you want a good time!

We’ve shot handguns and rifles before but never shotguns, so when I saw the Groupon for Triple B which included an Instructor, I jumped on this deal. I went there with my 14 year old son. Our instructor was Bud. Bud was friendly, funny and showed us everything we needed to know about shooting a shotgun. He also told us what we needed to do different from shooting a handgun and rifle so we do not carry over the same habits (i.e.: stance, sight picture, etc.)
We really enjoyed it and will definitely go back.
The ladies in the pro shop were friendly and helpful too.

It’s never easy writing a review when you have no basis of comparison. I’ll say right of the bat I have very little experience using firearms beyond going to a firing range just twice in my life, but I came here with friends for something of a «man» day. I’ve never once tried shooting a moving target.
One doesn’t want to appear stupid around gun people, but I was at a total loss when we arrived. Before doing anything they had us take a test, which I am pretty sure I failed. Since only one person in the group had working knowledge of guns, they told us we’d need an instructor, and honestly it was the best thing that could have ever happened. It’s unfortunate this is just for first timers, but for $ 70 they provided us with a gun rental, bullets, earplugs, safety glasses and one hell of a teacher in Candace Fowler .
The first thing she did was figure out which eye was dominant, as someone who ended up being right handed, yet left eyed dominant, it presented itself a challenge and my first couple shots were off, but Candace covered the left side of my glasses with scotch tape and low and behold I actually discovered I was a decent shot.
I never thought I’d enjoy shooting clay pigeons so much, but we had them coming from a few different directions, and Candace made a game out of it, having us compete for most shots, and it turned into one hell of an excellent afternoon. Considering almost no experience, I hit about 60% of my targets and to me, that was mighty fine.
Again, no basis to compare, but I’d be happy to go back. I just wish I could pay the $ 70 again for more instruction. A damn fun time though.

So, if I was lost in the woods, armed only with a shotgun, and my survival depended upon shooting down birds for food… I would starve. Lol!
Granted, this was my first time. And, instead of starting at the training section, or even trying skeet, I was taken straight to the sporting clays area. It was difficult and frustrating (they fly so fast!), but I didn’t leave without a hit. I could see how this could become addicting if you were good at hitting the clays.
They fly all over the place — in different directions and in different patterns. Some even bounce around like little rabbits or animals.
All in all I had a really fun time, and I would like to come back and try the newbie section before returning to the hardcore area. Unlike other reviewers, all the workers were really nice to me. I passed the safety test and they were respectful and even funny. One even offered us a ride on his golf cart, because he wanted to save us a walk, and he went as far as to give us parking tips for next time. The people were great, the facility was fun, and I give it all a big thumbs up!

The first time I came here with a buddy for sporting clays. I hit about 10 clays out of 60 shots. It was fun but sucked cause my expectations of my shooting were much higher.
Several months later my buddy his girlfriend and my girlfriend took a class from John Fowler. He is a great instructor. In no time I was hitting my clays. Our whole group were hitting our clays. I would recommend John Fowler without a doubt. We had a a lot of fun with him. My buddy who has been duck hunting for 15 years learned some techniques from John that he said he had been trying overcome.
We do plan on going back with John and working on some of the sporting clays that my buddy and u were having problems with.
All in all we had a great time. Thanks John fowler.

I found out about this place because of a Groupon. We had a lot of fun shooting and Jim was a fantastic instructor! He was very detailed and meticulous in making sure we knew all the rules and why they were in place. I really appreciated that, especially because I was a first time shooter! My only complaint was that they were 20 minutes later than our appointment time, but he still gave us our full hour’s worth.
If you’ve never shot before and are looking for a place to learn and understand, come here!

Today my wife, her sister and I went to Triple B Clays and we had a great experience, it was a pleasure! My wife and her sister needed a class since they had never handled a shotgun and Lenard Oliver was our instructor. He did a great job teaching them and he gave me some tips, which was a bonus.
I really recommend this place and him as an instructor. The ladies really liked him and they really did hit their targets, which they couldn’t believe it was possible! Lol! We had a great time and we cant wait to go back there. Lenard is there on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays evenings, definitely recommend him!
