The Animal Care Clinic/​Barrington Square Animal Hospital is a three location (South Elgin, Algonquin, and Hoffman Estates) multi-​doctor veterinary hospital. We are here to serve the veterinary care needs of our patients.

Our services range from preventative care to medical/​surgical/​dental care. We also serve avian/​exotics at each location. Each facility is fully-​equipped to meet the needs of our patients with advanced diagnostics including computer radiography, ultrasonography, laproscopy, endoscopy as well as inhouse laboratory diagnostics. Each location offers grooming and bathing for dogs and cats. The Algonquin and South Elgin location have on site boarding and daycare supervised by one of our veterinarians.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Animal Care Clinic South Elgin! You are all so amazing and good at your jobs.
We brought in our 7 year old short-​haired cat for a second opinion on an incessant tail wound. Dr. Adam was so knowledgeable, informative and comforting. We decided to do a surgery with him to remove a portion of the tail that had irreversible nerve damage. We were so happy with the process, cost and care of our baby! He is home now and recovering well!
Thanks again and keep doing what you are doing and changing pets’ and owner’s quality of life. You are awesome!

My husband and I highly recommend this vet. Dr. Adam and Dr. Marissa are amazing and so is the staff… we had a very unfortunate situation happen with a puppy we got from petland and animal care clinic was there for us every step of the way… we wouldn’t go anywhere else and recommend this vet to all our friends. If we could have given more stars we would!

The entire staff here is amazing! Every single person we have come across is not only great at what they do, but also passionate about it. I recommend this vet to anyone who loves their pets more than life itself. It is a nice, clean, and peaceful environment — one of the only times our dog didn’t fight with us to go inside, as she would normally do with other vet visits in the past.

We have been going to this clinic for around five years with our three pets. These people are all truly caring animal lovers. I have learned to totally trust Dr. Adam as he has treated all our animals. He has seen us through more than one illness with our cat, Blackie. Blackie now has a chronic condition, inflammatory bowel disease. Dr. Adam diagnosed and treated Blackie so now Blackie has a happy life again. Dr. Adam has shown very personal attention and commitment. He goes out of his way to answer questions and follow up. He is a very expert and caring vet.

Been a client for about 5 years and have been very satisfied. Always pretty easy to get an appointment and in a couple of emergency cases they were terrific and took our dog right away.
In fact, I accidentally ran my Pomeranian over with the car. His tail had to be amputated and he was in the hospital (VCA) for several days. The doc (I wish I could remember her name, I think I called her Dr. S) was an angel. I was so traumatized, as was my poor dog, she not only helped him, but helped calm me down too. She was patient and gave me great advice regarding some of the secondary issues he developed.
Also, another doc saved me a lot of money by educated me that canned dog food (at least the brand I used) is the equivalent of McDonald’s for dogs. My dogs lost weight and I saved some green.
Highly recommend them.

I first started going here 4 years ago when I bought my first dog (a german shepherd). He was a magnet for hurting himself! Dr. Christine and Dr. Liz are the best I could have asked for. They were great in helping me raise my first dog and deal with all my questions. I now have my second puppy and am still going to this vet!

My cat and pet rat both recently became sick, and was looking for a decent place to take both of them. I went here based on the ratings, and the fact that they treated small animals. I was not disappointed.
Dr. Adam has been so helpful with treating my cat over the past couple of weeks and she’s starting to show improvements.
Although my rat was unable to pull through, Dr. Christine did everything she could and was very caring throughout the entire ordeal.
I also want to add that they accept CareCredit, which has been very helpful with all the visits I’ve had to make for both the cat & rat.
I’m so glad I found this place and will continue to bring my pets here!

This is the best veterinarian office I’ve ever been to in my life. Those that work here absolutely love animals– cats, dogs, whatever you have– they love. I also love that the ladies who work at the front desk always know the names of my pets when I arrive, and greet us in a friendly manner each time. The two vets I’ve seen here are both wonderful, and I can tell they love animals and love what they do with their lives. This vet is a bit expensive, but I think it is worth it to get good treatment for my pets. I once had to take my cat to an emergency vet, and Animal Care Clinic called the next day to follow up before 9 am– something I greatly appreciated. I also love that they have an online system with tips, information, and reminders to make an annual appointment for my cats. I would highly recommend this office!

Dr. Adam is great! He is always so good with the dogs and so good about answering any of my questions. I never feel like he is trying to rush me. He is always aware of our finances and tries to do as many of the cheaper tests as possible before we have to do more expensive testing when there is a problem. I have never had a vet aware of that! We used to see Dr. Adam at the Algonquin location which is about five minutes from us and now that Dr. Adam is at the South Elgin location we drive twenty five minutes to get there!

I am a breeder of English Bulldogs and we saw Dr. Adam Conroys information on Bullynet and went to see him. He is VERY caring, knowledgeable and very accommodating. He answers questions thoroughly and really cares about what he is doing. He knows Bulldogs SO WELL. If you have a Bulldog, GO TO SEE HIM! He is worth the trip and the time. Even if you leave a message for him, he calls you back right away and goes the extra mile for you. GREAT VET!

After bouncing around between a few vets, trying to find the best care for our Bulldog, we were referred to Dr. Adam at the Animal Care Clinic of South Elgin. Our Bully is a medical issue magnet, and we were relieved to find that Dr. Adam has a thorough knowledge of the breed, and provided excellent care at an affordable price for all of our Bully’s ailments.
The staff at ACC are all so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, they’ve all earned our trust, we no longer have to worry if our Bully is getting the best care possible. And it doesn’t hurt that Dr. Adam is a total hottie (don’t tell my husband :)
