History

Established in 2013.

In December of 2012 a father of 3 and city worker decided to learn to make his own bow ties because he couldn’t find the ones he really loved in the stores. At that point, he decided to buy a used sewing machine and do the proper research to learn to sew and create his ties. Luckily, he was a fast learner and people really liked his bow ties. This was the Beginning of The Whatknot Bow Tie Company.

Mark Mathews is a divorced, father of 3, grandfather of 2 who wears suits while riding his Harley! He is also a DJ and promoter of a fantastic dance party called Sanctuary. Mark speaks in schools and other organizations on the topics of confidence, self esteem, and dressing for success.
