El Pescador

We came for a «quick» lunch while attending a conference nearby. They were not prepared for everyone from the same conference who would be in over lunch. Had to get the attention of staff to take come take our order.
When we told the server we were in a hurry she told the guest I was with in Spanish that someone should have let them know. Huh? Really?
Service is poor! I will say the chicken quesadilla was tasty but I could only eat 1 of the 4 pieces before having to rush out. Service is too slow.

So upon entering we are seated and the waiter comes by and asks us what we are drinking. So we order our drinks and when they arrive we order our food. I order the Pescador Fajitas which has chicken, steak, shrimp, rice, and beans. My mom ordered the menudo which is only served on Saturday and Sunday. Our food orders came with hand made tortillas. The waiter was on it and when I mean on it I mean I didn’t have to ask for refills of soda. He would ask me if I wanted another one and so on. Great customer service and food was really good!

I just came to this restaurant and they have the worst costumer service! The guy was joking in a bad way he was vey disrespectful.
I got a cocktail de camarones and they’re really bad they were hard to bite and they didn’t even had onions cilantro tomato and pepino they were really bad!
I would not definitely come back to this place.

Horrible experience! I ordered an empapelado and the first thing I noticed was the rotten smell of fish that was coming from it. Sure enough it was rotting! I called the manager and he just took the plate and didn’t even apologized or offer anything else as a plate replacement. We waited 35 minutes for our order to be served when other people who came after us we’re being served before us. I loved coming here but after that horrible experience I will not be coming here anymore!!!

First time here and the service is amazing.
Unfortunately all the food we ordered was average at best :(I had high hopes. I ordered chilaquiles: average. The rice was average. The guacamole we ordered: average (I had to mix stuff to it to make it tastier). My boyfriend ordered the fajitas el pescador: average. They filled it up with a lot of tomatoes to make it look fuller. He also said his rice was bland.
But again, great service… just very, very average tasting food.

Love the quick service. Love their shrimp cocktail, ceviche de camaron, and drinks. Been enjoying El Pescador Restaurant since 1996 Great Food!

Oh well, came here with a friend, and the first thing I noticed from the menu is that most all plates to be over 15 bucks, I mean 14.99 is just a catch. I Glanced over the menu, and decided on the camarones costa azul, Honestly everything looks like it was frozen and thrown in the microwave, bland beans, bland rice, the mandatory side salad nothing but lettuce, and the camarones? well not what I expected, they were cold and tasted like they where fried the day before. They do give you a small starter soup with a small shrimp floating in there somewhere, but for the price of the food, I would expect the taste and quality to be more up to par with the cost. I had a similar plate of Camarones Costa Azul at Don Chentes in Downey for under 10 bucks and everything tasted fresh and the Camarones where huge and hot and fresh. So not sure I will come here again. And as an added bonus the waitress only come to our table to take the order, and that was it, we did not see her at all until I had to get up and go to the counter to ask her for the bill, she gingerly said «You could had pressed the service button on the table» and I said, I did many many many times… «Oh well then is probably not working (Giggles)» to which I gave one of my famous BLANK STARES…

Terrible. But pricey didn’t like the food. Came here bcuz it was convenient. I’ve had way better else where. 15 years ago it was good now it’s it. The Horchata tasted like a cheap mix.

Yuck… too expensive… the food wasnt good. I ordered a quesdailla and it was burned on the underside. It had no flavor. A soda is almost $ 4. The service was ok but probaly wont return here.

Always thought this spot was for mariscos only. WRONG! Just had there chorizo con juevos DELICIOUS. Not expensive and Mexican food done right. Chilaquiles de cilantro salsa damn yo try one flavorful punch.

Waitress took way too long to take our order. For the price you pay here, food wasn’t great. We ordered a carne asada taco, meat was cold when she left it at our table. The shrimp tostada was flavorless and still had shells left on some of the shrimp. Won’t waste my time or money coming here again.

Where to start? Very slow service. The chips where soggy with oil. I paid for a tostada de camarón and got a pound of tomato and onion with a few chuncks of tasteless raw shrimp. The kids ordered chicken strips that were overfried. The fries were gross and oily. Not very happy about paying so much for dissapointing food. Yeah definitely not coming back.

Ordered carne asada plate, meat was undercooked, no seasoning, rice was stale, I wouldn’t recommend this place

So sad. The food is very commercialized. Tastes like everything is from the frozen section at Costco. I must’ve had too high expectations. And the little bell for service… so unfriendly

We waited 20 minutes for a table to be cleaned plus they took another25 to take our order there was only one waitress omg pls hurry im hungry!

Honestly they have the best food and excellent customer service. Best in town. I’ve been here a few times and the workers are always so polite. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to seafood and Mexican food lovers. ¹⁰⁄₁₀

Here again!!! Enjoying my michelada and my coctel, I love that it’s near by, i didn’t wait to be seated and my food was ready in minutes. Its always a pleasure coming to el pescador

I used to like coming here, but today I experienced the worst service ever. My party got their food 30 minutes before I got mine. I saw my plate ready sitting there for 10 minutes before the waiter brought it to my table. Only reason why I didn’t send it back was because this pregnant woman could have not waited any longer. Bottom line, I’m never coming here again.

El consome presidencial esta bien bueno excelente y la tostada de ceviche con jaiva tambien! Las micheladas estan muy deliciosas y el servicio excelente! Para la cruda mis amigos no hay mejor remedio que un caldito con chile habanero picoso… Las tortillas hechas a mano bien calientitas parece ke las acaban de hacer… 5 estrellas todo muy bueno el servicio rapido

Absolutely delicious!!! I got the Camarones a la diabla. Spicy just how i love my camarones. The beans and rice were cooked perfect and it was happy hour so i ordered a margarita :) only 4.50!!! It was strong too… ill be back of course

This place has a nice ambiance but far from meeting there reputation. I order juevos a la mexican which comes with rice and beans. And specifically ordered the onions well done! But failed by a long shot… I might as well have ordered it raw!!! They provide free chips and salsa like many mexican restaurant do. Well, first of all the chips had a ugly after taste probably due to not changing the oil consistently then the food
Was tasteless come on!!! If you can get the basics down right with rice and beans then u might as well shut your doors! Then to top it off my green salsa was Turing and smelled really pungent when i told our waitress she made an excuse of it being made in a mocaqute that’s why it tasted strange. That did it for me please take the time to go back to the kitchen and follow up with our complain. will never come back i rather go eat at taco bell
