History

Established in 2007.

The Studio’s talented staff is led by Joanna Howell-​Giraud, a four-​time Recipient of Boston Magazine’s Best of Boston award. She also has twice been honored by Allure Magazine as one of the top colorists in the country. She is joined by her husband Omar Giraud, whom specializes in haircutting. The former Newbury Street salon owners Joanna and Omar are joined by stylist Catherine Berkman who has trained under the couple for over three years. Giraud Studio strives to fill the need for high quality natural looking hair color on Boston’s Northshore.

This is a fabulous salon! Joanna is a master of color and can save you from any previous misstep and get you on track with a beautiful, natural look. Once you’ve had Joanna do you hair, you will never leave. I always feel fantastic after a visit, and isn’t that really what it is all about?

Fantastic salon! I’ve been going to Catherine for years and she always does an excellent job with my color. I’ve been blonde, red, and brunette, and no matter what, it is always a 10⁄10. They also always offer tea or coffee in lovely china which is such a nice touch. Absolutely recommend!

I’ve been going to Omar at Giraud since I moved back from Boca Raton 6 months ago. I’m a little obsessive about my hair (trying to hide my fleeting hair line) and he consistently does a great job. I find myself laughing so much he has to ask me to stop if I wanna keep my ears. I’ve never had any of the color work done but from what I see and hear they’re one of the best around. The greeting at the door by Heidi is worth the visit in itself. I’ve started getting less hair cut every time so I have to go more often.
