Established in 1986.

Radon Detection and Control was founded in 1986, and we are still a family owned and operated radon testing and radon mitigation business. Over the years we have strived to provide affordable, quality service to all of our customers. We want to help people live in safe, healthy environments. As Pennsylvania’s oldest radon testing and mitigation company, we have helped thousands of customers just like you complete radon testing. Over that time period we have also helped countless customers achieve acceptable radon levels in their homes through appropriate, effective radon mitigation methods.

Business Owner

John is a founding Partner of Radon Detection and Control in Pittsburgh PA. RDC was established in 1986. Radon Detection and Control has installed over 25,000 Residential Mitigation Systems and thousands of Mitigation Systems in Schools, Apartment Complexes, Churches and Commercial Properties.

Along with his daily operations activities at Radon Detection and Control John is nationally involved. John is a National Board Member of the American Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists and has served 2 terms as National Vice President. He was the Residential Mitigation Board Member for the National Environmental Health Association Technical Review Board. John served as Chairperson for the International Symposium in 2000 and Program Chair 5 times since. He teaches Advanced Radon Mitigation classes in the USA and Canada. John is currently the Chairman of the ANSI Standard Committee «Radon Mitigation Standards for Multifamily Buildings.»
