We specialize in children and family lessons and charters. We provide everything. All equipment need is included: Boats, drivers, instructors, skis, boards, tubes, even the fuel. We offer lake front pickups.

Our family of 4, with two kids ages 7 and 12, had such a great morning learning to water ski with Eric. All the equipment and expertise instruction we needed was provided in the most friendly, relaxed and efficient way — we all got a chance to be on the water (skiing and water tubing) and get a great first-timer’s experience. Just enough to leave us wanting to come back and learn even more next time. «Really, really, really fun… and nice people!» is the littlest one’s review. We agree — thanks for the experience and encouragement, coach Eric!

This was the first time my 3 sons went water skiing and wakeboarding. Jim was a great instructor — all three boys got up on skis and my oldest was able to wakeboard. They were very good at making sure the boys had fun and felt successful. Great time was had by all and we’ll definitely return! Thanks to Kyle for piloting the boat and the fun tube rides!!! We were surprised at how reasonable their prices are! Highly recommended!

My three kids tried water skiing for the first time, Kyle did a great job. He was patient and did an awesome job working with each child. Each child was able to get up and my oldest son was up on the third try. His longest was sking for 4 minutes and 45 seconds. I would recommand anyone to use Birkholm’s Water ski and wakeboard school.

it had been more than 20+ years for my husband and our ten year old’s first time … but erik did it! they were both up the first time! what a great company, on time, priced right and so happy to be with us in the boat. it was cold but smooth, the wetsuits were perfect and tubing was so much fun! we have sent all our friends to erik when they are up in tahoe, good one on ya erik!!! cheers

My husband and young son tried water skiing for the 1st time. Eric was very patient and you could tell he has experience in dealing with all types of personalities. He could work with my husband and then switch to work with my young son. My husband and son have ZERO experience in the water and Eric was very patient throughout the whole process.
I was impressed by the boat and their equipment was clean and in great shape. We will would for sure come back and book another visit with Eric and team.

My husband and I tried water skiing for the first time with Shannon and Eric, and had a great experience. Shannon is an amazing teacher. Even though we were complete beginners, we were able to stand on our first run with her coaching.

I can’t imagine a better first waterskiing experience for my kids! Owner and instructor Erik Birkholm has very young children himself, and all the patience that goes along with that. We had four inexperienced and nervous kids (ages 9 – 13), and Erik had them all up on skis and laughing happily within minutes — even when he had to get in the water and ski next to them. After our triumphant ski lesson, Erik took the kids for a fun but not-​too-​wild tubing ride. They were all begging for one more turn. I highly, highly recommend family-​owned and operated Birkholm’s over the bigger, less personal companies on the lake. They are just outstanding.

What a great day! We had so much fun. Eric and Shannon were fantastic and soooo patient. They provide everything and help you through every step of the way. This is great choice for kids and adults. The boat is really nice and all their equipment is in great shape. We’ll definitely be back.

My kids took water-​ski lessons from Birkholm’s Water-​Ski School and they loved it! Birkholm’s included everything (nice ski boat, fuel, wetsuits, skis/​boards, driver AND an in water instructor) for one fixed price. The rest of the family rode along for free. The fantastic instructor (the owner) rode next to my kids giving them pointers until they were up and skiing. Within minutes both of my kids were skiing! Birkholm’s was well worth the drive from Incline Village.
